  1. alslam alikeo brothers and sisters i have a quez after 7 month in ap the embassy sent e mail asking for new medical report i did and sent after a whole month and got many up dates last one was in 10/1/2016 then i e mailed the embassy i dot this response from it

The case in the final procedures and will be finalized soon.

is that good news or normal

    thank you in advance

The same thing happened to my husband, he was in AP for 10 months, they sent an email to submit new medical and his passport for final processing and they needed these documents to finalize the case and about a week after his status showed issued and he got his passport with visa stamp after 3 days. So Inshallah this is good news for you, best of luck!

  2. Asalam o Alaikum,

My name is Umar Lateef. I am a silent reader of this group,

I've been reading since start of 2014 because I was going through the visa process and was afraid to stuck in to AP but alhamdulillah passed through but I am not here to show off or to make you feel bad. I am just here to encourage you. This is just a try, if it's not helping, I am sorry.

So I've been reading here almost everyday to see whats happening here. Believe you me I feel a strong attachment with all you guys. Sarfaraz, Ayesha, Sarah, Kaleem and all others. I am here to see if anyone got their visa today. And then I pray for you guys that Allah make it easier for all you. Being a Muslim and Pakistani there is a certain attachment between us. I know it's a bitter truth but being a Muslim, one should strongly believe that if it's not happening now, it's not a good time for this. I've been through this process and it's very intense. But keep the hope up. Once it's over, you'll not even remember how difficult it was. Another suggestion is to pray 2,4 or any number of nawafil everyday for all your hard times. I will suggest it to do it everyday even if your problems are solved. I think it helped me, and inshaAllah it will help you.

So cheer up. Have faith that it's going to be over one day. And keep talking to your spouse and keep their hope up as well. InshaAllah soon you guys will be with your family.

And Sarah, your letter is beautiful. I am sure it will help you inshaAllah.

    Happy Ramadan

    Allah Hafiz.

Inshallah! please keep us all in your Duas, Thank you so much :) Ramadan Mubarak :)
  3. I get so mad sometimes, im like if u want to denie go ahead, its easier for me to prove my relationship to uscis then it is to the embassy, maybe their just testing you, to see if you really care, u will go there but thats crazy who has the time and money to go talk to them.

Dont worry, atleast u know whats going on and if u have to go there u get to see ur hubby :)

Lol that's the only good about this is seeing my hubby, I haven't seen him since sept 13.

But yeah I thought the same thing too, If our submitted proof was insufficient for them how come they haven't denied us? I'm telling you they are nuts.

  4. They usually say to email them every 2 months. The senators office told me they can only email the embassy every 90 days. So yeah, but now i think u need to get ur senator involved, ask them to tell the embassy if they can arrange a phone interview. Unless u want to take ur chances and go there to pakistan

Good idea! I'll have to think about it...but I'm scared they might get pissed of at that too knowing how they are...but I'll see if I give it a try...I don't know why they can't just talk to me at a local office near me, that would be easier or call me like you said :(

  5. What are you and your husband writting to them?

We have sent 3 emails in two weeks and the only thing we ask is if they have recieved the documents we submitted and if we can know the status of our case .... I'm starting to think they are bothered from our emails... I didn't want to email them so much but my husband insists all the time that I email them.
  6. If they want to talk to you, they should call you on the phone, thats what they do when they want to talk to the petitioner.

Exactly! I've never heard of anyone been told they should visit their office on their next visit... How do they know when is the next time I'm going to visit? What if I take a long time to go? If they doubt our marriage why don't they just deny it? Why do I have to go all the way over there just to talk to them? Makes no sense to me...I'm also afraid of going and they still keep my husband under AP...

  7. So they finally replied back and this is what we get-

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email. However, as per our available record, the submitted documents found insufficient (not enough supportive) in your visa case. Besides, we would rather like to talk to the petitioner in our office, as soon as she visits Pakistan.

    Sincerely,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

    Consular Section, American Embassy

    Islamabad, Pakistan

I don't even know what to do know I feel so confused. I've never even heard this happen...we even sent 500 pages of proof of our ongoing relationship like they asked! What more do they want?

  8. I called NVC , and the operator recognized me, she said we just referred this case to a supervisor and to give it a little more time. Now im

Confused weather my update was on their part

    Or my request

Thank God! Either way That's really good news! ... My husband called nvc today too about an hour ago.... They didn't give him any information, just that the case is still in AP and told him that the petitioner should email the embassy or call them... I don't know, maybe there is a difference when the petitioner or beneficiary emails... So I'll send an email tonight and I'll call myself tomorrow.....
  9. I decided to email the embassy myself to request my husband's passport back, because I did not want to do the paperwork again for the senator, I emailed them around 7am pakistan time and my case updated a few hours later, not sure if it was automatic or their returning the passport, will see what happens in the next few days, Didnt get a reply either to my email.

That's good news! Finally you had an update! Hopefully it's a good update and you get more these days, keep us all updated :)

  10. They havent yet, i have

To send a written letter and privacy release form again before they do.

Whats frutrating is people who had interviews after us have already got their visas :(

Very frustrating it is! :( And sad, I feel so helpless, this AP and not getting any information from them is depressing. I just pray they pick up the pace and start issuing visas to us all!
  11. Few months back we sent 3 emails to US embassy Islamabad but they did not reply, not even update case status,

This year I have only 2 updates 6 and 9 feb 2015 only.

Since mid of feb 2015 we have sent fax and emails to US senator and my wife used to call every week ,

but dept secretary reply they did not received reply from US Embassy Islamabad....., more than 3 months now.

    every effort useless......

3 YEARS AND 8 MONTHS IN Administrative Processing ......interview was good, every thing was ok. no objection, never asked for any additional document,,,plain AP.

That's sad :( this makes everyone feel helpless when they don't reply to us. I hope this year you get your visa, you have been waiting too long. It's not fair that they keep us all in AP for no reason, May ALLAH give us all patience and strength...

  12. My husband wants his passport back , i did not even attempt to email them but had the senators office request it back because its a waste of time to email them yourself.

Theyre just so damn slow lately

Yeah I've noticed that too, I don't know what's the hold up, maybe they decided to go on vacation and leave us all waiting...if they started working on all AP cases quicker they wouldn't be so backlogged :/ anyways, when did the senator send out the email? Have they told you anything? Or has your case updated recently?

  13. Hi it's been extremely hectic this week!! But Allahamadullilah I got the visa in hand today finally.. @Sarahch, @Ayeshashehzad and Mrs Sarfaraz I truely believe you guys will get urs soon IA.. when submitting the Medicals my wife and I found out that our marriage certificate is been lost n it was bcz of NVC, I went alone to the window n greeted CO.. Interview went great n just bcz if you are confident n well presented then you don't need to worry.. CO said everything is fine just send another original and you will get the visa in a month but it took three weeks..

Ceac shows issued for two days n got the call today..

    Everything happens for a reason!!

My opinion is that keep forcing NVC to update you bcz they know everything wats happening in ur case.. Like its NVC who confirms the docs receipt n it's them who told my wife that ur case is in final processing.. I never used visa journey before interview but Visa journey is awesome but for the ones whose interviews are coming up or when you talk to them just be confident and stay positive and take even the unnecessary things to interview incase!!

Congrats!! Enjoy on your new life, please do pray for us all who are still in AP. Welcome to America :)

  14. I wonder how long they take second time around when you sent them stuff they have asked for.

The last time they asked for documents after the interview, took them 5 months to review :(

    Hope its sooner this time.

I'm wondering the same thing too :( I really hope they don't take long.... They've had enough time already to check everything else they need for our cases...if it does take long then I don't think it's because they were reviewing the documents, they just want to delay it :(
