Quick question my oath appointment letter asks me to attend at 12:02 PM. But doesn't give any instructions on timing -  should I get there before this time for check-in?

Just wondering if this time is my check-in time and therefore the actual ceremony is a couple of hours later? Anyone know? I'm attending the ceremony is San Antonio.

My wife passed her interview in San Antonio today.  I was hoping for a Jan ceremony but seems unlikely. 

Just checked the mail and my oath appointment letter was there. 12/14 in San Antonio. Nearly there.

Will do! - I think my Oath appointment letter will come in the mail any day now.

The IO who interviewed me said that they did have a ton of folks going through the process and to expect two months wait for the ceremony to be scheduled.

The six weeks it took so far is faster than I expected. I'll let you know then the date is confirmed.

Online status just updated to 'Oath Ceremony mailed' - Will know in a few days where and when. I suspect with Holidays it maybe a new year ceremony?

I had my interview in San Antonio on Oct 12th. Judging by the other folks on here and the advice from the IO I met with I'm expecting a 2 month wait for a ceremony. I asked for an Austin ceremony but she advised me to leave open as San Antonio or Austin; to be sure to get the first available. As my interview was a month ago I'm halfway there, maybe I'll get lucky and get a Dec 14th ceremony date? Anyone else filing in Austin/San Antonio heard anything?

No it said congratulations you have passed and she also congratulated me.

I think she was warning me that as they are so busy they are scheduling oath ceremonies a few months out. She advised it could be 2 months before I hear anything.

I know they have 120 days before I can chase for a date. Its only been just over a month since my interview with no word, so I'll patiently wait for an update.

Sometimes the online status never changes - best we can do at this time is to be patient.

Interview successfully completed this afternoon at the San Antonio center. The place was packed. My appointment was at 12:30 I got there at 12:00. They called me in at 12;10 - It took just 15 minutes. I passed and answer the first 6 questions correctly -  otherwise an easy friendly interview.

TIP: Take two passport photos with you. I read on here they they could be asked for and they were. Saved me loads of hassle, I had them ready.

Well it worked!

Tier 2 officer called me back, he was really friendly, he organized the fax and fax is now in-hand. So I have my letter. All good.

Thanks Lona.C If I have to resort to this then I'll try printing the online notice but that doesn't give the date and the time, just that my interview has been scheduled. All I have at this stage is my phone conversation with a tier 2 officer last time who advised me my interview was 10/12 and the time it was. I have still yet to receive anything in writing.

Hopefully todays call with USCIS will be more helpful and they will fax me the letter.

Not sure what the issue is, never had an issue with mail before and I haven't moved.

It's too late to tell you schedule an InfoPass or reach out to your congress person. I would try calling again and keep calling until you get some results. If that doesn't work I would go to the field office without an appointment to see what if anything can be done.  At last resort I would show up for the interview without letter to see where it goes.

I just called and got through to a Tier 2 officer. The current wait time is 97 mins. I did the automatic call back. I used this last time I asked them when my interview was and they do seem to actually call you back. Seems that USCIS will fax me a copy of the interview letter. Once I actually get to speak to a real person I will let you know what happens.

I have my interview date and time and I'm scheduled to appear in just over a week for my N-400 interview. But without the letter I won't be allowed into the field office - correct?

When I spoke with a Tier 2 officer to get my interview date he advised that I would need to have a copy faxed to me if I still haven't received? Anyone had to do this and did it work out?

Can understand why the simple process of sending a letter takes so long its been weeks.

Anyone experienced this?

This is what I don't understand they are telling me there are THREE parts to the 'interview stage' one: Inline for interview - Check I got that update, then it updated to Interview Scheduled that was on 9/1. They are now telling me there is a THIRD interview status, once the letter has been sent out?

Weird.

I'll give them a call on Monday maybe my local office San Antonio who are sending the letters are behind - their online status says for N400 they are working up to November 2016 - but its hard to believe the information as their status isn't regularly updated. Surely the change in status follows a prompt in process and they have moved me forward. Its seems a long winded process to just buy themselves time?

Am I right in thinking it takes roughly a week to 10 days to receive the interview letter (I797) with the date?

I'm now over three weeks since my status updated on line with no changes, I reached out to NBC yesterday by phone and asked if they had an interview date for me, or could detail if a letter had been dispatched. I'm anxious that it may have gotten lost in the mail. They advised me that there would be yet another online update when my letter has actually been dispatched and mailed to me?

Is this the case as I thought the next online update for me would be after the interview and when the oath ceremony had been scheduled?

Am I correct or do I actually have to wait for yet another update online before an interview date is created?

Good Morning - I received my update on 9/1 that my interview had been scheduled and to wait for the letter which has been mailed to me.

I still haven't received the letter advising when the interview actually is, and today is 12 days since I got the online notification/update.

Any idea how long before the letter usually arrives? I thought this took about a week?

Presumably if I don't get the letter this week I should call?

Thanks that makes me feel better - I can enjoy my vacation and expect the interview to be around the first week in October.
