  1. Mohsin + Soc.Pl+ Sajid LA all r in our prayers and u also pray for all of others ... by the way I tell you an intersting story found on FB few months ago...a 19 years old Kenyan boy married online with an american lady of age 54. She came to Kenya and started living with him and he got visa on same day of interview and right now they both are in Michigan USA...what u people say...interesting / amazing/incredible/astonishing / nail biting ...what wud u say...

I pray for all to come out of AP soon and be lucky like that boy...

  2. FOR every VISAJOURNEY philosopher telling us that wife older than husband is a red flag, I ask you to contact CAROLYNHOTSTUFF.

Carolyn has grown up kids and not in child bearing age. Her husband is in the US. I know a woman who got married to a Palestinian and she was 18 years older than her husband. She was at that point of her age where 1 or 2 children are possible but she was diabetic with insulin dependent diabetes. So you might know about age, you dont know about other problems going inside a person.

And its not just husband and wife stuff. My boss's friend got a job in WORLDBANK but couldnt join because of this stupid AP.

One can never ever say a man getting married with an older woman is deemed as fraud because no one knows in what circumstances a person married. I am 100% sure that anyone who is getting married with someone thousands of miles away from him/her is purely because of love.

Criticism is very easy but the fact is that Visa Officers are given discretionary powers to ruin the lives of any human. US embassy's decisions CAN NOT be challenged in any US court because US embassies are out of US territories. Even if you give thousands of dollars to attorneys, they cant help you 0.0001% in your case.

You are right and I tell you one thing only...The Holy Prophet is 15 years younger than his wife as well...so no one has any problem with this age factor and this should not be the issue of being in AP I guess too.

  3. the unfortunate thing about Pakistan is record keeping isn't very good. When people are put in AP it is difficult to verify things because of the poor record keeping in your country. I understand what it's like to be placed in AP, my husband had it in Amman, although his AP was only 10 weeks , it was still difficult, the not knowing, the separation. As difficult as it is try not to let it ruin your relationship, remember why you got married...because you love each other. It's hard to lose site of the big picture with all the waiting and stress involved in the process. I wish you all the best and truly hope and pray that an end to all of those in AP is near.

Dear bro MIMOLICIOUS...I would like to draw your kind attention towards a fact that Pakistan is considered to be one of the best record keeping countries as every Govt. or private department is computerized and I have been working in HR in KSA & UAE and had to deal with Passports of several different countries staffs around the globe and found out in 2001 that Pakistan was the only country amongst South Asia, Middle Eastern and several African countries who had Computerized Passport, Birth Certificates and ID Cards & Pakistan's National data base department (NADRA) is winning the First Prize of best quality amongst the Asian & East European countries for several years for having more advance and fast track features for the public benefits. Hence it has become more advanced these days and background checks are much easire for Pakistanis as compared to other countries but the reason for longer AP durations for Pakis is beyond undersanding...just pray and say Allah bless all and bring every one out of AP soonest...

Sis Janet...u will be blessed just dont lose hope...

  11. Ali bhai thanks for the encouragement and such kind words. we had our last update on Monday we didn't have any update for 2 days

All i'm concerned about my passport i have no clue if they will stamp me a visa or not. we can merely have a good assumptions and get

our hopes up simultaneously i gotta remember the most significant thing is my passport which is expiring on this June. i requested

the embassy to return it so i can have it renewed promptly send it back. but mashallah i have gotten numerous updates for last 2 months

also they never asked me for passport pictures nor for bio metrics. guy at biometric said he doesn't need my picture since he can see my

pictures it's probably due to my previous K-1 case bro keep your fingers crossed for us, i hope all of you brother and sisters get their

    visa very soon.

Thanks Mohsin for your reply...we keep encouraging you and you do the same as well for all to keep all VJ members hopes high thats how we can come out of this AP very soon and in a very good way...

  13. My case is very complicated. IF I would tell here about my case, you all would be stunned.

We got married in 2010 and sent our petition. When we were expecting approval, we got RFE and we submitted all the evidences. One thing me and my wife have in common is that we are 100% honest, sincere and truthful always.

Then after our petition was approved, my father died and it was a very gloomy period for us.

My interview was in August 2011. After my interview, Embassy asked for a joint sponsor. My brother in law in the US submitted his papers as joint sponser.

However sudden death of my father and then suddenly Embassy asking for a Joint Sponser caused me so much stressed which eventually made my both kidneys fail and I started having dialysis twice a week. My wife suffered a lot when she heard and wanted to come to Pakistan but security situation in pakistan was not so good since I was admitted in the hospital.

Thanks to Almighty Allah, that he gave me strength that I continued to work 9 to 5 since I am very professional person Masha Allah along with dialysis twice a week and at the same time I started my work up for a kidney transplant since it is the only treatment for failed kidneys. My collegues, friends and many acquaintance wanted to help me by donating their kidney. My mother and wife couldnt donate due to incompatibility reasons.

Alas in August 2012, my mother died and I was alone while my wife was in the States and life became more miserable but I never gave up hope. My wife, my job, my collegues and freinds and my other family members kept me strong by the will of Allah. Many people wanted to donate me kidneys but after tests we found out that there were problems with their own kidneys and even then I didnt lose my hope. In total 11 people were tested. Embassy asked for DS-230, Medical and photograhs which I submitted but still AP.

Now I am alhamdolillah very close to kidney transplant and hopefully I would have it before this summer In Sha Allah. I am still in AP but I dont want to leave my country before a kidney transplant. My wife also wants that when I leave my country, I am ready to work in fast paced US society without the need of dialysis. Also in Pakistan there are many willing to donate a kidney whereas in the US I dont have anyone other than my wife's family.

So I would say, this AP is a blessing in disguise for me. No doubt I was away from my wife but in the meantime I got a problem which can be better managed in my country due to so many people willing to give me a kidney. What if I would have been in the states and would be on dialysis and on waiting list for an organ which might take years.

I believe, these problems make us stronger and all of you, who are away from their loved ones are due to something better which you would know one day. Pray for my healthy recovery all of you and that when we would be with our families in the States, Allah keep us strong and happy and make us useful members of American society.

Dear A & F...we are very sad to hear about you and you missed your beloved parents during this time...we really pray for your happy and great life ahead...

  14. Kaleem! dont worry they will contact you when they require fresh docs from you... they asked for new docs and medical from Asad381 only once during 13th month of AP when they decided to issue him the visa, some times they ask earlier than that when ur visa is ready. by the way its better if u have already reminded the embassy about the medical expiry through email because my medical also expired on 27 January, 2014 and I reminded them 3 times by email but never got any call or email for new medical or forms...

    regards ALI
