Thank you for updating, Hagrid. This morning (03/28/2018) my wife took her oath and completed her journey.  Congratulations to all of those who made recent progress.  Everyone who is still waiting will get results soon!

Congratulations to all of those who made progress.  Yesterday, over two months after her interview, my wife received her oath ceremony date for 3/28.

Can anybody from NY shed some light on the waiting process for oath letter? Even the application was approved the IO said that there is another person who approves these after them and even though it should take couple of weeks for oath ceremony, it is usually much earlier than that.

 

Most people from NY gets their online status updated in seconds after interview, i disnt get any updates after 5 days.

 

What is the trend in NYC cases nowadays for oath scheduling?

I cannot speak for NY, but my wife completed her interview in Atlanta and was recommended for approval on January 9.  The online status was not updated to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" until today (January 23).

Fingers crossed for you, sunshine.  Times have sure changed. My ex's Naturalization process took 3 months through the Miami office in 2004, but she was a LPR for over 20 years at that point.

Congrats on the Oath.  The I/O who recommended my wife for approval told my wife to bring two passport style photos to her Oath Ceremony. He said that there may have been a problem with her photos that were taken at her biometrics appointment. She is going to bring them just in case.

Congratulations on the interview. My wife had hers and was approved in Atlanta yesterday. They do not offer same day oath ceremonies.  My wife has to wait for a letter in the mail for her Oath Ceremony date. 

I was not allowed in the interview, but my 6 month old and myself were able to wait in the waiting room. The interview lasted about 20 minutes.

Today (01/09/18) in Atlanta, my wife passed her English and civics test and her application was recommended for approval.  She is now waiting for her oath ceremony to be scheduled.  Congrats to all those who have made progress and a pray that those still waiting get good news soon.

I would submit the pictures and the seal.  That is considered a "copy".

Today, 12/04/2017, we received notification that my wife's interview was scheduled.  Our local office is in Atlanta.

They are currently processing naturalization cases from December 22, 2016.  I have been an Atlanta filer for every step of the process and know they take longer than many other offices.  I assume they receive a high amount of applications.

Hi guys, this Friday I am finally going for an oath ceremony. Just to share my experience...I have never received my second GC, since I applied for citizenship before they approved my i751 case. So I received an appointment notice in the mail about a month prior to appointment for Oct 3. Then a week before the n-400 interview they sent me a notice cancelling my appointment. I could not get an answer why or when it would be rescheduled when I called customer service. So, I went there with original letter on the date of appointment without mentioning that it got canceled. They gave me a number and I waited about 1.5 hours to see an officer. Luckily I had a very good officer, who was shocked that my case was taking so long, he apologized and said he will take care of it. Apparently some strange woman put the case in suspended mode because I applied for citizenship prior to getting an approval for GC. Of course, it's BS, if I didn't do that I would still be waiting on GC. So he didn't ask me for any supporting documents, he called several officers to get help unlocking my case in the system and he interviewed me for n-400. Unfortunately, he had to put in a ticket to get the case unlocked but he assured me the case was now in good hands. I think it also helped that I came with my husband and our daughter. He had no other questions. About a week later I got a notice that my GC was approved (but they won't send it obviously). And now 4 weeks later I finally get to the last step - oath and naturalization certificate. I wish you guys luck, and I would keep calling them, or schedule an infopass, it's taking them too long.

Even though the wait is hard, it appears as if things worked out for you as you are about to take your oath.  We filed my wife's ROC in March 2016 and she received her 10 year green card in May 2017.  We sent her N-400 docs in April 2017 before she received her 10 year green card. The Atlanta office is processing N-400s from 12/22/2017, so you are ahead of the game.  Congratulations on your citizenship!
