JejeAndSar got a reaction from Hemutian in EAD and AP Combo Card Renewal Checklist & Guide (AOS Pending)
Here is a checklist (a mini guide?) for Employment Authorization and Advance Parole combo card renewal. We are adjusting our status from a k-1 visa and pending AOS approval. Filing fee is free ($0) if your original EAD and AP combo card was requested at the same time as the adjustment of status (I-485). If your history is similar to ours, your eligibility category is ©(9) and you apply to the Chicago Lockbox (of course with the requisite confirmations/tracking). You must apply for renewal no more than 120 days prior to the expiration of your combo card.
This is what we are including in our renewal application, and you should probably include similar documents (don't forget to make a copy of it all, just in case):
    1. A cover sheet with package contents
    2. I-765 renewal paperwork
    3. I-131 renewal paperwork
    4. Color copy of current EAD/AP combo card, front and back
    5. Color copy of SS card
    6. Copy of marriage certificate
    7. Two passport photos
    8. Copy of potential interview waiver notice (if applicable)
    9. Copy of address update confirmation (if applicable)
    10. Copy of I797C NOA - Adjustment of Status
    11. Copy of I797C NOA - AP
    12. Copy of I797C NOA - EAD
    13. Copy of the "Save This Notice and Tear-Off" (containing bar codes) that came with original EAD/AP combo card
    14. Most recent I-94 copy
    15. Short, 1-paragraph narrative explaining why the EAD/AP combo card renewal is requested
Some of this might be overkill (i.e.: marriage certificate copy, ss card copy, etc.), but better safe than sorry. If anything is incorrect or missing here, please let me know so I can edit.
    Good luck, friends.

JejeAndSar got a reaction from bluebook14 in Fix Igor's List Calculations and Data
    1) As it stands now, if an i-129f gets transferred from Texas to California and gets approved, the approval appears under the Texas search in Igor's List. This should not reflect the speed of Texas, but rather the speed of California. The problem is that the data is incorrectly complied. In other words, there is a flaw in the data collected be visajourney.com.
The example approval should show the speed of California, not the speed of Texas. Or, perhaps, a new system of calculation needs to be conceived for transfers. As it stands now, it is not correct and produced figures that are flawed.
    2) Users are able to put "2" instead of "02" for the month of NOA2. As it stands, "2" comes before "02" thereby disturbing the presentation of approvals.

JejeAndSar got a reaction from thatangela in TSC and CSC comparison... FAIL.
Umm.. does the following not sound like a whine?
"It's been 3 weeks since we've applied, but I already know I'll wait for at least 5 months. This is so unfair... It's gotten to the point that seeing CSC approvals make me depressed and sad. Why is the USA doing this to us?"
I was lucky to get it in 76 days. Sure. But I was ready to wait 5 months. And I certainly didn't whine about not receiving it after 3 weeks. You, Lorella, are in a better position to be frustrated having waited since December (though I'm not sure what politics are involved in a petition for Cuba), but 3 weeks? Really?
She will probably get hers before 5 months, as is the experience for many at TSC. But to complain at three weeks that others are getting it quicker is ridiculous.
It is like being jealous that someone else got a bigger piece of cake from another restaurant....

For 15.f, We put the ETSA confirmation number there and put a little note stating it was the ETSA number. We were approved.

JejeAndSar reacted to lorella in accurate processing time
I do not think the estimated wait time for TSC is accurate for the average case. The Philippines cases are being expedited (most cases receive approval in less than 30 days) which lowers the estimate but does not accurately reflect what is happening for a non-expedited case.
Also, I've seen a number of users who have listed as TSC as their service center that are really CSC. Since everyone mails their K-1 application to the Texas lockbox...users often put TSC for the initial service center...then enter a "transfer" to CSC when they get their NOA1. So they are really CSC but since they put TSC as their "inital" center, Igor's list (and i'm guessing the graphs on the processing time page) includes those cases in the TSC data. CSC has been processing faster than TSC - so again, the average time for TSC is inaccurately lowered.
it got my hopes up in the beginning when my estimate was showing mid-February.

    NOA1 = Dec 26
Still waiting for NOA2. I hear some people are receiving letters before the online system has been updated. Seems like a pointless system.
I, like many of you, hate this long wait.. which creates anxieties and doubts about the system.
