Thank you both. Most of us now are going to be having our fiance(e)s here very soon! after the NOA2 it really goes fast... ive read it before but now i believe it!
As for vietnam, i didnt realize that was a country that the petitioner was required to go to... are you required to go the interview? who else is planning a trip to their beneficiary's country for the interview? obviously DR, Vietnam it looks like. I know with Pakistan you don't have to go (Jon York).
And yes i am lucky, only $410 for a RT ticket! I can go there and come back almost 4 times with your $1500!

just bought my rt ticket to the DR for our cita! plan is to come back and wait the 1-2 weeks for her to have the visa in hand. Then i will fly down and pick her up so she doesn't have to fly alone! I can hardly believe that this is actually gonna happen just weeks from now!

I would call later tonight if you don't have anything better to do, like around 11pm EST... I started calling after about one week... although mine took about 4 weeks to be received at NVC. It doesn't cost anything, just a bit of your time. 7 am for the shortest hold time though i have found. Sometimes they don't open the phone lines until like 7:03 though!

We didn't bring any bank statement or anything to the interview and they didn't even take our I-134's at the interview. You should be fine with just your forms, no extra bank info needed!

Well, I predicted that the rate of approvals would really kick in, but I was informed it would be in 45-60 days.,.,.hope these approvals is from TSC, as we went through VSC in 2012-2013, and it was pure agony..,.,.,.I "know your pain".,.,.but as I write this post, my precious wife is sleeping soundly in the next room! It is a great feeling!
Hope the TSC gets it rolling soon.,.,.,maybe it has already started.,.,good luck to all!
A big contraz, to the OP.,..,.,"I know how you feel!"

Glad to hear you received some good news.
Just to update y'all, I called the NVC yesterday as it has been a month today since my NOA2. I was told on this call that the reason they had not yet received my file, and the reason it will likely be delayed another 2-3 weeks, is because our star service center decided to send a whole batch of approved petitions to california instead of the NVC in Portsmouth, NH!
Great... so my 4-5 weeks started the 30th, maybe! We will get there someday!

Thanks, well for my consulate i don't get to choose the date... still should heed your advice and not stress too much. Interesting what the other poster mentioned about the 25,000 newly approved apps. Must be coming from CSC cuz they certainly aren't coming from TSC!

I hear you I know how it is and I understand your guys' frustration!
I feel bad to be approved weeks before people like Jon York and others but at the same time quite relieved and happy to be through the noa2 stage. If I were you I would keep bugging them daily. There's no way it will hurt your approval to be persistent IMO. And like everyone else says, cliché but true, your time will come soon and you'll be looking at the december filers forum through a different lense.

Thanks but 25 business days isn't "lucky" by any stretch of the imagination. I have already exceeded the normal processing time at USCIS. I understand that they have a lot of petitions to get through i was just wondering if anyone else had noticed that they were slower now... All the guides say two weeks start calling. That's 10 business days.
Thanks! We got our NOA2 on the same day... I will call again later on just to check.

They are much slower now, for married folks the IV fee was taking 3 days to invoice in May no it is taking more then 30 days. I got my case number 30 days after NVC received but for you Fiance is different so you will know sooner.

Hmm. maybe a picture of his passport stamps into and out of the US? his plane ticket receipts... Those would also help. At least that proves he was there... Did you guys do anything together while he was here that you could get a receipt for? I didn't mean to insinuate that your case was fraudulent by the way. Your case is definitely unique though in my opinion!
Without pictures it will be hard, now i understand why you got an RFE. You need something to prove that you both were in the same place at the same time. Do you have anything like that???

Bunnygirl, actually we're on the exact same date. My timeline was wrong, I just corrected it. I'm December 16th too. And that's what I told them on the phone today. So December 16th, according to this woman, can start complaining on June 26th! I'm gonna start tomorrow!
I've also mailed in an expedite request through my Senator - because my fiance is in a very dangerous situation with a brother-in-law who is threatening to kill her. They even denied that when I opened the request a few weeks ago - saying that they get too many requests like this! They didn't even ask or let me send the documentation! So we'll see if the Senator has any better luck.

For what its worth, ill tell you what i did. I called them almost every day for the last 4 days or so before i got my NOA2. I knew exactly what they were going to tell me, and i made them go through the motions anyway... If that isn't what helped my case along, maybe it was the online service request i put in. The service request was put in on the 30th of May. It also could have been my congressman's inquiry although i know a lot of you have done that as well. I will say that one time i demanded a tier 2 officer, even though i knew they werent going to open a service request, i wanted to talk to one anyway. Maybe i just got lucky but that's what i did. I just bugged them and bugged them... They want to make us wait this long they are lucky i didn't call 3x a day! take that!
If you tell a tier one person that you want to talk to a tier two and you are assertive but respectful about it, they will transfer you - that is my experience anyway. They also have a new system now where they will call you back automatically so you dont have to wait on hold for an hour.

Thank You!! received a text it just about took my breath away. The text told me my case has been updated. I went to the site to see what the update was and sure enough the very last bubble was filled in with this message:
On June 10, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I don't know if India is a high fraud country. However, just called USCIS again today, about 1/2 hour ago to find out if they have moved forward from december 3rd apps. Nope, still December 3rd!I think they should send out a tweet for every time an adjudicator approves a petition - make this a little more transparent. I am imagining 2 guys sitting there with boxes and boxes of our files just piling up.
