I can totally understand Carolyn! Just to have them physcially there is support for many of us! I hope that everything with the house goes alright. I know that it is a lot of work and loads of money. We also had some problems here, but we are trying our best. Hope everything eases down!

Calling NVC does not change anything

If she is coming from the US, all she needs to do is fill out a application and she gets 45 days & double entry coming to 90 days. I never submit anything just the application and photos. I have gotten 6 month visa's but you have to tell them a reason for a long stay and show a ticket for longer than 1 month.

Faisal- tell them that you want to know your case status and that they have that info.

When was the last update everyone has got so far?

#1 varies on the case & they will contact you and your husband as soon as the schedule it

#2 in my opinion it is a great idea to go together. Be prepared for questions but it proves something to thr consular. They were happy i came with my fiance. I mean we were laughing and smiling throughout the 2 minute interview!

They might be ready to issue the visa soon inshallah. It might be last minute checking to see everything is fine.

Check processing times on visa journey or go to uscis.gov and then processing times.

What does CEAC show your status as?

Prepare yourself for atleast 3 months. I did not want to accept it but matter of the fact is that it will take time. All you can do it wait.

Quick question, i never noticed that mine says non immigrant visa. I do not know since when, but it has been like that for a while. I have applied for a k1 visa for fiance. Should it say immigrant or non immigrant?

Has anyone here contacted their congressman or senator? If so, at what time of the process and thr outcome of the contact. I am seeing my congressman today inshallah!

Have not touched my case since November 7th..... Which is pathetic. Hopefully they will issue the visa with the passport. May allah reunite us with our loved ones quickly. I know they are lazy....

They told me the same tell them that DOS said that you have updates and you are able to see what is going on. They tried to play that and I told them on travel.state.gov it says you are in chargr of the case then he came back with case info.

I dont know but its the stupidest thing they have done. The line done not work, there is no wait time estimate, the line is never answered. It is bullshit. They just do not want to answer our calls. DOS is nonimmigrant only and NVC is immigrant only. Its on travel.state.gov now.

This is now a permanent change, and it is going to be horrible!!

DOS stopped checking case statuses.

Quick question, has getting a congressman involved done any good for anyone? Has it caused more updates or green signals? Or not really helped at all?
