  1. I don't know if they got anything done. The embassy replied to the enquiry that the Congresswoman just saying "she had an interview and her visa has now been issued and was posted this afternoon" on friday, but that doesn't mean she helped, they were just responding like nothing even happened, like they didn't make a huge mistake.

It was issued and posted on Friday, according to them. I am freaking out because I'm meant to leave tomorrow.

    Hi there

This type of package can take up to five days to arrive. If it was posted Friday you will probably get it this Thursday or Friday.

  2. Hi everyone

Just finished reading all your lovely posts.

For my own two cents worth I know that over my 16 month Visa Journey it was my VJ friends that kept me together on many occasions. Opening up VJ was often the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night. I felt like you were my only friends who really understood.

I know that I am now here in the US but I firmly believe that for all those coming after me this thread is a lifeline. It should definitely remain open.

    Xx

  3. Hi Soleanta

I have come back onto the thread today to specifically see how your interview went and I am absolutely devastated for you and your husband. I don't think that any negative decisions that VJ'ers have received has affected me as much as yours.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mollie and Juan when they say you have given so much support to so many people around the world and all we wanted was to hear that you and your husband had been successful.

I also concur with Mobar in that you need some space and time right now to really look into the case and see what is the best action you can take to bring this to a positive conclusion.

I can only imagine how sad you must feel right now and how dark each day is. Remember it is darkest before the dawn. I am praying for you from the bottom of my heart.

    Stay strong my beautfriend.

    Love

    Debbie

DEBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE so wonderful to see you post here, Samreen is home with her husband in the USA and busy and EOC is still in AP God bless her sweet and loving heart, praying they have mercy and give her the Visa already.

So happy your doing so well with the kids and this is just a memory I'm sure I'll feel the same way God willing if we get our Visa.

Yes not long now and I'm getting so nervous I hope we have done everything right and nothing is needed. We have more evidence of Bona Fide marriage including texts my husband was able to download, couldn't download mine and Skype screen shots. God willing they don't even need that. Anyway thank you so much for thinking of all of us, I for one am so grateful you came back to say hello. God bless you my sweet friend, kisses for the children and you! t5063.gif

Oh my friend you have to call USCIS and let them know they signed and received it and what the next step is. Anyone know the number I lost it or burnt it not sure which. t5063.gif

    Soloenta

Do you have Facebook? If so send me a private message and we can stay in touch. I am in touch with Austin, Juan Bravo, Amanda this way.

  5. Hi everyone

Like Amanda I haven't checked in for a while.

It is great to see some CC but I find it also upsetting that nothing has changed and that people are still waiting for so long.

Soloenta not long now darling until your interview.

What is the news on Samreen, eoc4ever. I can't find any posts from them.

I know that what I am going to say might sound blasé. I remember our dear friend mohbar65 saying this some time back but it is SO true. Once the journey is over and you are back with your loved ones, believe me, this terrible time that you are going through now will fade into a memory.

One thing I said to myself as I boarded that plane is I wasn't going to be bitter about having our family apart for 16 months or the fact that our children saw their father twice during that time but rather I would move on, not talk about it and live my life. I am happy to say that is what I am doing.

    Love to you all.

    Debbie

  6. The hardest part of the waiting is not knowing. I know logically that we sent them exactly what they asked for, we confirmed with them twice what they wanted, and both people said the same exact thing even when I said that the checklist was strangely worded. The second lady said she knew it was strangely worded but not to worry, that we had sent the right things.

And I logically know that if they needed more income evidence that's what they would have asked for, instead of asking us for schedules that we should have sent in the first place and a new form for something we left blank.

But the logic just doesn't seem to matter and I still can't help but worry that we will get another checklist and my husband will leave and I will be without him for a large chunk of the year. :(

    Sigh.

Congratulations guys on your case complete. I haven't checked in for a while. I will look forward to hearing when your interview date is. The journey is almost at an end for you.

  7. I was just checking in to see if you have an interview date.... So glad to see you do!! :dancing:

Mine is getting closer -- in fact, this time next week I will be in London with my daughter (wide awake) waiting for the interview at 9.30am the following morning. (I'm so nervous!)

    Hi there

I am just checking in to see how my VJ friends are going. How exciting your interview on Monday. Wishing you the very best of luck.

  8. Hello to all my VJ friends

Sorry I have been missing. Just trying to get everyone settled into school, swimming and everything else. Have spent lots of money buying clothes for all us Aussies who only have t shirts and shorts and are now dealing with way below minus temperatures. Still, I am sure many of you would be happy with that. We actually really love the cold weather.

I am sorry to see the checklists continuing. Robisons, you should get your CC very soon.

Soleanta great to see your interview date has come through.

For all those in AP my prayers are with you for a speedy end to this.

I will continue to visit VJ to see how all my friends are doing.

    Xx

  9. Awww thank you sweet heart they told me they will be scheduling the first week of January, God willing we will get ours then. Please say a prayer that we get one please.

    How was your Chrismas MSC?

I know no one is here but please keep EOC and SharkBelow in your prayers and all those who need us. Thank you. :)t5063.gif

I absolutely will keep you all in my prayers. Any news on Samreen? Let's hope your interview is scheduled by end of next week.

  10. Hi everyone

POE yesterday at LAX. Took 15 minutes at 6.30 in the morning. Bit of an anti climax really. Didn't even say Welcome to America. No questions, nothing. Just went through normal immigration with children on their US passports, then they took me to a waiting area. We were the only ones there. 10 minutes later took fingerprint of index finger, signed a Form, guy took papers to his window and then called me and gave me back my Passport stamped. Waited 16 months for that. We fly up to New York tomorrow and then drive home on Saturday morning.

Thank you so very much to all my VJ friends. I will still be coming here to keep up with how you are all doing.

    Oh Soloenta

I have just logged on first time in a few days and have seen the wonderful news.

    I am thrilled beyond words.

You of all people deserve this.

Well done sweetie. Now for a quick interview.

  12. Yes Msc tell me about it. But it's alright. This process has made us so much stronger that I wouldn't have believed ever before that I m so strong. I didn't shed one tear when this happened and I am just hopeful that Allah will give it to me next week inshAllah. And it made me realize the love that we hold for each other when husband was filling the form in a few hours and mailed me next day. So I think everything has a reason behind it :)

On the side note I m veryyyyyyy happy for u! From the depth of my heart really!! And I can just imagine the excitement that ur kids will have right now haha. I wish u a v safe journey and a blessed life with all the happiness that we lost in these 2 years. I hope we get ten times that amount. InshAllah :)

Thank you my friend. Where in the US will you be settling?

  13. I am knee deep in preparations as we leave this time next week - 18th Dec.

However I have just read through and caught up on the thread and Soloenta I can hardly breath with hope that you might get your CC by the end of the week. Come on girl - we need to get you out of here.

Samreen my heart is sinking thinking that you have to go through more stress and trouble. Still, hang in there, get them the documents and you will get your Visa soon.

    Love to you all.

    Xx

  14. APPROVED!!! :dance::)

I had my interview yesterday at the Mumbai consulate. It went good, the CO asked me just three questions, didnt ask me for any documents and said i am approved...

After 3 hours status on ceac website changed to issued.....

Thanks to everyone on this forum who helped me alot during this process and a Biggg thank you to dwheels for helping and answering all my questions....:)

Many congratulations to you. It is a wonderful feeling isn't it and one that I wish for all of our VJ friends.

  15. Thanks, thankfully my husband and I are not apart from each other yet. We are together in Australia. I am however away from all of my family. I am missing out on Christmas, birthdays, nieces and nephews being born. I just want to be home with them, and with my husband by my side.

I can't imagine how terrible this would be with hubby separated from me :(

Well I can tell you it is pretty difficult. My husband has been gone for 16 months while I stayed here with our two children, ages 14 and 15. Thankfully for us it is over. We fly to the Us on 18th Dec and will all be back together. I hope your journey ends soon.

  16. WORST DAY OF MY LIFE --- i was issued a 221 (g) after my immigrant visa interview. they want more additional processing on mefrom MONTREAL CONSULATE>. and its NOT BECAUSE OF my marriage or validity of it. Its because I have a PhD in sciences. YEAH.apparently I am too educated to be in the USA. funny i got my education there.:angry::girlwerewolf2xn::alien::wacko::o so more additional processing.strangei have been going to the USA 15 times.in the last yearthey never needed to do it thenand suddenly now they do.

it can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 year. YES!!! so i am giving up on going there. All i can do is get my spouse here. i submitted the paperwork they wanted from me but i don't have any hope it will work at all. i have seen how much time they can make you waitthis is truly disgusting.:cry::cry:

No no no. This is unbelievable. Of all people you should have sailed through. Look, it is no consolation but you may get it in a couple of weeks.

Would be interested to hear what MohBar has to say on this one. He is also very educated.

Me, I only graduated with my undergrad this past August and I am 51!!!

I will be watching to see how this plays out.

  17. APPROVED!!!! :dancing::dance::jest:

Interview went fine, didn't ask many questions at all and didn't ask me for any other documents. (Interviewer spoke mostly to my husband (USC) about how he misses American food! lol

Going to write my full review now and I'll post in here later! :)

I just saw this, and no, no naked as a baby!! .. Hahaha

Awesome Teacup. Hopefully it won't be long until you have the envelope in your hand and you can book flight. Back in the US before Christmas.
