  1. I am USCIS and this is why we are all on security check. Lol.......we are all a little fustrated. @ Zach there are still many of us waiting. At least your friend got an RFE and knows or will know what is needed. Many of us don't even know what the hold up is the only thing we know is that were on security check or what ever it is. AXS is correct the chart is only an estimate of how many who are visa jouney members are still pending NOA2 am pretty sure there are alot more Dec filers out there. Let's stay at peace because we have way more things ro stress over right now.

  2. 8 months today and counting also. It is incredible! am wishing the best for everyone. Just feeling a little fustrated meanly because we are not getting any answers. Why should any additional review take so long to do? How often do they go back to our file to review? how much longer will it take them to approve our i-130? these are just some of the things that upsets me. Well good luck everyone!

    Hey guys!

I had a very pleasant news while visiting my husband :)

Thank God our I-130 was approved on July, 23rd and shipped off to NVC on August, 1st. We've got approved after an RFE, they asked for a certified copy of our marriage certificate)

I feel for all of you still waiting for NOA2...I know how hard it is to wait away from our beloved ones

Hope you all be approved very soon and join me on the NVC Stage!

    G.

    Congratulation Pitchounette that's great!!!!!!!

  3. Immigration has always been a problem way before Obama & Daca. Sure we would always like to put the blame on someone, but to put it on one person is not right. I brought my father to the United States more than 15 years ago way before Obama and way before Daca and I can assure you the wait has ALWAYS been a long process. All we can hope for is that we will be approve and be with our love ones.

  4. Please tell us what you've learned!!!

I first inquired about my k1 visa and why it was still open just to see if this person was who they say they were (ps. sent him my k1 case number to email provided). Response received was that once we had our interview the CO did agree that we had a bonifide relationship (which is true), and the refusal of the k1 was not due the k1 petition, but rather because of something prior when my husband was 16 (This is true, husband needs a waiver). Then he went on to say that the previous filing of my I-130 would not be effected by my k1 case, and that it seems that someone at USCIS simply did not do what was needed to be done on my K1 (I129F) petition because it should have been sent back for revocation (which it was not), but technicallly it should have only been valid for 4 months, but not to worry more or less that is why my I-130 is being held up for additional review

  5. Good Morning Everyone I stubbled across immigration forum that has an actual VISA OFFICER that answers your questions. www.nairaland.com and in search I typed in U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer. You must register for the forum. There are two threads one that is closed that has about 65 pages of questions and answere, and one that is open that has about 16 pages of question and answers that the VISA OFFICER is anwering question from right now. At first I thought maybe this person was not real, so I put him/her to the test and asked a serious of question pertaining to my issues, and they were able to inform me of my exact scenerio without knowing my case history. I have learned alot reference other questions that were asked and answered by the VISA OFFICER. Just wanted to post this in case anyone was interested!

  6. that was my thinking too.

our i129 was approved but our waivers were not (after the embassy stage).

so logic would lead to think that uscis knowing already about us, having done all the checks already, things would go quick this time around.

at the same time, nanana has never been dealing with uscis and has been waiting since early december 2013.

Same situation here as you california_luv. I129 approve but waiver needed at embassy stage, but could only qualify for waiver if married, so our reason for filing I130; however this was in 2012, but I129f never closed still show open according to tier 2, so I don't know how long this process would take. On the otherhand as you stated nanana has never dealt with USCIS and there status is the same as ours. So there is just know telling what is going on, but am keeping my faith up for all of us.

  7. That's the point i am trying relate with delays, Old relationship with USCIS.

You applied K1 and now hoping that as all checks cleared so no need to worry, but in fact now your case need another review (review by supervisor) because visa adjudicator has seen that you also applied before and there is a case under you name. so by book he/she is bound to forward your case to the supervisor so he/she can check that what you applied and why you are inclined to file another petition.

So basically whoever filed K1 (or any other Visa) and thinks K1 approval means IR1/Cr1 fast processing is wrong, in fact vise verse is correct.

Mine case is also same, One F2A case is pending (Petition approved in 2 weeks)

So the finding of my little research is:

One of the many reasons case goes for additional review is that you had old relation ship with uscis.

Disclaimer: I just tried to connect dots, this can be wrong.

that I do understand, but axs it shouldn't have to take so long, I notice on April 24, 2014 my old k1 petition was requested by an USCIS office. When I looked up the case number that was the message I saw; however that is over 3 months ago. Why so long of a wait. I know I have no choice but to wait, but this wait is torture.

  8. interesting that you did this. i did it yesterday for texas and was stunned too.

then I looked at the recently approved and was totally annoyed. considering this month has close to 5 weeks, that's 2.6 cases a week.....really? how many people working in texas???

as of yesterday 13 July approvals.....(1 from Aug, 1 from Dec, 4 from Jan, 3 from Feb, 3 from Mar and 1 from June!!!!) Yah, the March and June annoyed me greatly!!!!!! :ranting: however there was another approval so now it sits at 14 for the month.

i get the whole security check thing, but I've been through the k1 process and was approved (plans changed due my pension so we cancelled it) and now doing this process, one would think since I'm from Canada and have been once approved things would be a tad quicker......not!

My point exactly! We have also been through the k1 process and approve and there was no security check issues there. This is a bunch of B.S. and they keep feeding us the same story. How long does security check take anyway? 8 months is more than enough time to have completed security check or whatever check there is. They are just sitting on their a_ _ and bypassing us by while even Feburary and some March are being approve.

  9. Finally got a response!

We have received your inquiry stating that you believe your case is beyond our projected processing times. USCIS makes every effort to process cases within the projected timeframes and in the order in which they were received; however, your case has not cleared all required security checks at this time. We cannot provide a specific date on which a final decision will be made on your case. We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

This just means they are doing the standard security checks right? it doesn't mean there's something else wrong, does it?

it's funny because I just got the same respose
  10. great news mahimuks ! :dancing:

CBO still no noa2 for your husband?

I hear you, I know my husband for 4 years and this time now is the hardest one. f*in limbo :(

Maybe we will get lucky this week ? :)

    Emoticon-Cartoon-2615363.jpg

    Nothing yet nanana

We are still waiting. Hoping for a good week!

Way to go mahimuks !!! Texas is alive.

Nebraska is still on life support. beep.

Lol I believe so. We are all coming up on 8 months.

  11. I tried to ask same question on Info Pass meeting but lady told me she does not know anything about additional review. One of tier 2 told me that additional review mean security/background checks.

BTW, term additional review is a mystery and USCIS does not give any proper explanation about this term.

I hate it when they lie to us, Additional Review doesn't just mean security background check. It can be also be any additional information they may need to complete a case. Per tier 2 officer mines was reviewing the previous K1 petition. That is why I was so presistence and would not just take additional review for an answer. When I offered to even give him my old k1 petition case number he even had it up on his screen already and gave it to me!

  12. am curios to know if any of our December filers that are still waiting on NOA2 have ever had another case of issue that was ever pending with USCIS? Just want to know if this is a possible reason why there is a hold up. Also for service request that just say that they are doing additional review. When I called and spoke to the tier 2 officer I told him I need more information than additional review which doesn't tell me anything. I asked what was the additional review for? and why? maybe that was why I got my response. I told him I need something more than just simply telling me additional review.

  13. CBO, does it mean K1 was causing problem? One should have told them about change of status so that they could close the K1?

I'm asking because i have a kind of similar situation...

My father applied me for F2A few years ago, Now as i married i didn't bother to tell USCIS about my status (Assuming after marriage i am already out of that category).

What do you think, is it causing my case to stuck in additional review?

From what the tier 2 officer told me this was the hold up with my case. They need to review my old k1 case, because it showed active so on May 27 they requested the file to review but have not received it as of yet. In your case just call to see if it is the same for you. I basically got a very nice tier 2 officer who was just honest with me
