  1. For everyone who would find this piece of information interesting:

On November 27, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I do not feel surprised over the time, since past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Hang in there everyone.

awesome ....congrats to you and to your fiance :) all the best for the next step :)

  2. I'm not one to post to a forum, but I feel as if I have been one of the few to set some sort of world record of sorts:

"Your I-129f was approved in 16 days from your NOA1 date."

Just wanted to share the news, though I realize the next steps from the NVC onwards might not be as fast.

To give everyone a sense of my timeline:

    - Mailed out the I-129F via two day express mail on 10/30/13

    - 1-129F received (per the official hardcopy notice; "NOA1"): 11/05/13

    - 1-129F approved (per the email I just received; "NOA2"): 11/21/13

My process in putting together the packet was to follow the guidelines as provided on this website (making sure to look at the official websites in case instructions/processes changed). Do a two hole punch thing on top of all pages (with a binder clip to hold everything together), label all pictures and place them in clear bags or envelopes, make sure to follow all directions and sign where needed. Double check everything. Lastly, I think what helped was that within the timeline narrative of the relationship, I put "See Exhibit [X] for evidence showing this meeting/trip/etc", and then attach and label the evidence (boarding pass, picture, receipt, etc) as such. It was all very organized and easy to follow. Maybe that helped speed things along, but who knows.

I was curious how accurate the timeline estimate on this site is (which I realize is only as accurate as the entries users provide). Before I updated my progress, the estimate was 3 weeks later than what actually happened:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 13, 2013 and December 23, 2013*.

    Hope this helps someone.

thats AWESOME....It feels so good to know that Texas is catching up fast smile.png...all the best for the journey ahead smile.png

  3. I got my NOA2 yesterday (Nov 20) as well! Well I still haven't actually received the email...I just see the "Post Decision Activity" status when I check my case status on the website. I assume that counts?! It says we've been approved at least so I'm counting it! Hopefully they send the email too soon though. Congrats and good luck to everyone else! Let's keep each other updated on how things are going at the NVC! I'm so excited for all of us!

hey congrats on your NOA2.dancin5hr.gif what was you centre?

It's at initial review because they haven't approved it yet. When it is approved, which is to say, when you get the NOA2, your fiance will receive an email stating that the petition has been approved. If you sign up for an account with USCIS, you will also be notified of any status changes, such as the alien registration number.

thank you for the reply :)

  4. Now that you have your NOA1, you have a registration number. You can use that to track your progress here. You can also set up an account so that you receive an email with status updates.

Also, just for clarification, your fiance didn't apply for a K1 visa. He applied for a I-129 petition - once that gets approved, then you, in your own country, apply for the visa. smile.png

yes my fiance has filed the petition innocent.gif

but this link has the next stage as -'Initial review'. How do i know when my NOA2 is aprooved or is in transit to NVC? Will my fiance receive an email notification clearly specifying this?

  5. Hey all,

We are also November fliers. We sent out the packet on Nov 12, 2013 to Texas centre and received our NOA1 on Nov 19, 2013.

Can anyone please help us with how do we track our application status like you all....NOA2, NVC, etc.

We will really appreciate your help.

    Thank you.

Fingers crossed and hoping that our NOA2 also comes soon like you all. dancin5hr.gif

    Our k-1 Visa Journey:

    - November 12, 2013: Sent I-129f package

    - November 19, 2013: NOA1 e-mail notification (CSC)

  6. Sent our petition on the last day of October with USPS and it arrived on 1st Nov! (according to USPS) so I guess that makes us November filers! smile.png

didn't see a topic for November yet (I did try searching, though!)

would be cool to talk to others who began this journey in November too! so that we can all talk and supprt eachother! ^^

    Waiting on NOA1! biggrin.png

    hey,

my fiance has applied for K1 visa on Nov 12, 2013 and we have received NOA1 on November 19, 2013. Can you please guide us how do we check the status on our NOA2 and NVC. The website doesn't give so much details.

We will really appreciate your help.

    Thank you.
