Hi everybody!
It took me a while to get back on Visa Journey, but I'm also a May 2017 filer!
I did my biometrics in Atlanta on June 26, and now I'm just waiting to hear back. VSC is a lot behind on processing so I'm not even checking my case status at this point and expect that nothing will happen for at least 6 months.
Good luck to all!

Hi everybody!
Took me a while to get back on VisaJourney, but I'm also a May filer at VSC.
I had my biometrics appointment in Atlanta on June 26, took about an hour (less than expected), and now the waiting game begins.
Hopefully it doesn't take the full year to get approved!

Finally, after 1year and 2weeks of visa process.
My visa is approved!!!!!
Congratulations!! I can't believe it took so long for you to get the visa...
you must be so relieved!
I got the approval emails/texts last week for AP and EAD, now Im waiting for the docs to arrive in the mail, that's all I want for Christmas this year!
Happy holidays everybody!

I got the dreaded RFE in the mail today.
They are asking for a Federal tax return for the previous tax year, and the problem is that it was actually included with my AOS package...
I guess I just have to send it again, and hope there are no other RFEs

Wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing?)) We will be married Friday and filing for AOS next week. Anyone else filed yet for AOS?
Hello!
We got married September 13th, filed AOS on September 28th and I received the letter with the biometric appointment for October 30th.
I also filed for the work and travel documents, hopefully those will be approved soon after the biometrics!

I received my visa on Thursday morning !
It is good since we had already bought a plane ticket for August 12th and I was starting to get nervous about not getting my passport on time because of the computer glitch!
I am very excited and hope everything goes well at POE in Charlotte. It shoudn't be too bad, I know most of the officiers now, my last 3 trips I got stopped for further verifications.
I hope the same joy will soon come to those still waiting

I hope I am not reading this news flash wrong, but it looks like they are making a little progress on the Visa printing issue. Let's just hope that things will be back to normal really soon!
http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/news/ccd-performance-issues.html
I think that's what it means...
Today it changed again to Issued !
Now I just have to wait for the mailman! I have a tracking number for the packet but it is not yet active, hopefully it will be tomorrow

Will you please post a review on the Embassy? It's helpful for those who will be going through it later, like me.
Sorry Sparkle I haven't had a chance to do it just yet, but I took notes while there to make sure I remember in details! The whole time I was thinking "this detail could be useful to the next ones"
Today, exactly 10 business days after the interview my CEAC status finally changed from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing". Because of the printing problem it is not surprising it took longer than expected.
Congratulations to all new approvals, and I can't belive there are still some people waiting for NOA2 while some other are already at the Green Card stage!

I had my appointment at the embassy in Paris yesterday!
It went well, the consul lady said there should be no problem with my case and that my passport will be mailed to me within 10 business days. It's a relief but I will be happy only when I hold the visa in my hands!
There was another girl there for a K1 who had filed in January.
I checked this morning the Ceac.state.gov site and it says my visa application has No Status, and the case status for the other is still Ready and no change since June 16th. Is it normal? How long until my status is updated?
Still praying for those waiting (too long) to finally have good news

Hello everybody!
This morning we received Packet 4 from the Embassy in Paris, and my interview date is July 15th!
I'm so happy to be getting closer to the end of the process
I hope people still waiting will soon receive good news too, this forum has been such a great support during the past couple months
-
I am currently visiting my fiancé in the US, but this morning my mom called me really early to inform me that we had received Packet 3! Exactly one month after NOA2.
It does go a lot faster at this point, now I'm just hoping for an interview date in the next couple weeks!
Good luck to those still waiting, we keep crossing our fingers for you

Has anyone that got a NOA2 approval around the late April / early May timeline had their file arrive at NVC yet? I don't really want to call and also heard that we will receive a letter once it does. Just wanted to see if anyone had any kind of an update!
Thanks guys!
I got NOA2 on May 6, got the notice that it had been shipped to NVC on May 12, called on the 13th they didn't have our case yet. I called late at night and waited about 25 minutes before I got someone on the phone. The lady said the processing timeframe is 4 to 5 weeks... Someone walking from TSC to NVC would be faster than that!
I will try again tomorrow early morning, and probably every day until I know they have it!
-
We also got our approval on May 6th, a little under 6 months after submitting the application!
We had decided that I was going to go to the US to wait for NOA2 until interview so we were a little stressed when we got the approval 2 days before my trip...
I got stopped at border control and had to answer so many questions from the first officer and had to do the second interview and after a short wait I was sent on my way to visit my fiancé!

Hi All- I'm a Dec 9th filer and I was just wondering how many November filers are still waiting for NOA2. I just wanted to get an idea of what month TSC might be working on. Thanks
My fiancé called USCIS yesterday, and he got the standard reply "wait till 5 months after NOA1 (which is in 20 days) and file a complait" and that "it takes different amount of time for background checks depending on the situation".
Then when he asked for a supervisor/someone with more info, he was told (after a 55 minute hold) that Texas is still working on cases from October 2nd. That was already the answer last week from another VJ member if I remember correctly.
So now I'm just gonna wait for the 5 months as it's only in 19 days and filling the complait.
Good to all thoses in the same situation waiting for NOA2!

As I wake at 520 am eastern standard time, I've notice stillness in the air. It was very quiet. Suddenly, to my left peripheral, there a blue light flashing on the top left handed corner of my Samsung Galaxy.I picked the wonderful but cracked phone and on the screen I noticed an email from visa journey for a response on this encouraging forum. I saw that a fellow November filer received just a text stating that they was approved. I was at peace and happy for this individual. BUT WAIT!!!! THEN I THOUGHT THAT IF THIS PERSON DIDN'T RECEIVE AND EMAIL IN ADDITION, IT'S POSSIBLE THAT I MAY HAVE RECEIVED A TEXT ON FROM USCIS. Immediately, i pressed the back button of the android and headed towards the messaging app. Upon clicking the app, my hopes flew towards the stars. In anticipation, with my palms sweaty and my heart beating fast, I wiped the crust out of my eyes and then say that my ............ wait for it ........... THAT MY CASE WAS UPDATED.....YAY ... BUT WAIT, MAYBE IT'S JUST AN RFE..... the journey to be continued..........
Part 2 of this morning...
I flew to my computer laptop in which superman aint got nothing on me today. With my ashy hands, I pressed the power button. After loading, I USCIS website was already preloaded. At a simple click of the button to refresh the browser, I looked away. Then I looked back and saw..............................wait for it............................wait for it............

I feel left out. Almost 3 months for me
I am past 3 months from NOA1 and right at 3 months since Alien # change... Sometimes it's harder to be patient, but in a couple years it will just be a cute story to tell, how we had to be apart for a while to be stronger when reunited.
This forum is a great support and source of information, it would be so much harder without it! Maybe one day November filers should have a reunion in the US...
-
I've been thinking of you and Foxxy in particular, plus LiseB, amrm, D&Wontheroad and tattoocpa, that I can recall. Praying this week will be the week for you all, and all the other filers still waiting since November!
Thanks Sparkle! (and the others too). It's nice to know there are other people out there supporting us! My coworkers and friends don't really understand how stressful this process is, but you guys do!
I hope Texas keeps approving and work extra fast this week to make up for being closed yesterday!
-
There were so many approvals this week I hope they don't think "now that we did a bunch we can slow down"!
We are now at 3 months since the petition was received, my guess is only 2 more months to wait...
-
I can't belive that, literally 10 minutes after I wrote that post I got an e-mail...
On February 6, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).
!!!!!!!!!
That's great news! I hope they keep up and work hard today so more approvals before the weekend...

I'm ok with flying in for the interview - just hope that my French will be good enough for me to get around Paris and get all the stuff I need to get done there before the actual interview. I know I'll need to buy a special envelope, as well as pay the visa fee, while there. It would help if I could do those things here...
On the other hand, I get a good excuse to go to Paris.
There's a Post Office not far from the Embassy, they are used to getting people who forgot to pay the visa fees. They also send the envelopes and know which ones are for the embassy. And in case you forgot, there's an envelope vending machine inside.
As long as you try first in French, people are very understanding with non-French speakers.
I hope you have a great time!

Nothing new for us either, but VJ has been updating my timeline so people do seem to be getting approved...
My timeline has no been updated and still states Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 10, 2014 andJanuary 20, 2014*
I even received an automated email from VJ telling me to update my timeline because according to their system I should have been approved. It's so frustrating! It was going so fast two months ago and now nothing.

Where I'm from makes your snow storms look 'cute; LOL
How about the "snow storm" that's hitting the South of the US right now? lol
My flight back to Europe has been cancelled, I get to enjoy 4 extra vacation days with my fiancé in the US! Now if only we could get some good new from USCIS...

We have pre-clearance in Dublin so once you are cleared in Dublin you are good to go straight to final destination in USA.
I went through Dublin airport this Saturday to visit my fiancé. I'm a French citizen and usually leave from Paris, but I currently live in Ireland so I went through Dublin. I wasn't aware of the pre-clearence, and very nervous because I had a very short time between my flights in Philadelphia. It didn't help that last time I traveled to the US (in August 2013), I was taken to second screening for something about one of my expired student visa.
But my exprience with Dublin pre-clearance is the exact opposite than yours. I was so happy to know I would not have to go through border control in Philly I was in such a good mood, the officer asked me what was my final destination, I responded Charlotte NC and he then told me he wanted to move back to the US in NC and asked me where I would recommend living, and then "have a good day, welcome to the US". Not one question asked about the visa/petiton or anything.
It made my trip much better, as I was not nervous at all on arrival!

Click on 'Sign into my account' on the left hand of the page and its on the next page displayed. You have to register first. Takes like 1 minute.
I did that and it says account successfully created, I get an email about it, then every time I try to log in on the website it says "500 internal error". I tried from my laptop, my phone and my work computer but it's not working... I guess I'll just have to keep checking the website and hope for a Christmas miracle!
