  1. My fiance's interview was in February 2014. She is also CCP, her case is still in AP. Now I contact the Department of State everyday during the week and we send emails every two weeks. Maybe we will hear something soon...

    Chuck!

  2. Hello Bob,

I disclosed her membership on the initial I-129 form. I provided letters including one of her disclosing her membership and the reason she joined (for better job and pay) as well as her intent to discontinue her membership after she receives fiance visa approval and a letter disclosing my knowledge of her being a CCP member. Her interview went well, now we are in Administrative processing status. I will keep you posted..

  3. My apologies Darnell, but I scrolled up, I didn't see any specific information. I can only say that we practically sent everything(inclucing police reports, marriage/divorce documents, letters from employer, birth certificates, ID cards, college degrees, letters acknowledging CCP for both petitioner and beneficiary, version of her resume, and other documents required for the process except the I-134 with supporting documents.

  4. She lives in Chengdu.

Also, about 45 minutes after her interview, the consulated telephone(cell) her to confirm she read and understood the abuse pamphlet, which she has read and understands. Suprisingly, later that night the CEAC website changed status from AP to Ready. Hope this means things are moving..

    Thanks!

  5. Fiance had interview today, she was given blue card with administrative processing written on it. Also, her passport was given back to her. What does this mean? I understand the AP requirement but why was passport returned. Is this normal to return the passport?

Finally, the officer only took form I-134 and supporting documents (tax transcripts, letter from my employer, and recent tax return) and her resume. Should I consider this a good thing?

Thanks in advance for your response..

  6. 1. When completing our DS-160, my fiance did not understand the question regarding telecodes, so, she left it blank (does not apply). She simply did not understand the question. Will this cause her application to be denied or can this be resolved at interview, since the application has been completed and confirmation letter has been mailed to the embassy with packet 3?

    2. After completing the DS-160, my fiance realized she did not include the National ID number, however, this number is listed on every translated document she submitted prior to receiving packet 3. Will the missing national ID number from the form DS-160 result in her application being denied? or should she create an entire new application.

Thanks in advance for your assistance and/or feedback..

  7. Thanks!

I checked the CEAC website today, it reads, "

    Status Updated Date: 06-Jan-2014

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed or available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached."

How can it already be under AP if my fiance has not received package 3 at this time? or is this normal?

As I stated before, my fiance and I both submitted written letters regarding her disclosing her CCP membership and my knowledge of her membership. Also, her police report was sumbitted with the 1

I-129F application. Could this be the reason?

Please tell me what does this mean?

    Thanks in advance

  8. here's a clip from a set of instructions, OF-171, prior version:

Applicants who have worked in technical fields should bring a detailed resume, in both Chinese and English, which should

include the applicant’s professional and educational history. In many cases, simply listing employers and job titles will be

insufficient. The resume will include a complete list of all employers, all specific job responsibilities and projects, and the titles,

descriptions and dates of all publications.

So, unsure exactly what yer reading, but that was the prior stuff.

IMO, they want to know if yer fiance was working in a field that might require a MANTIS search...

    Hello Darnell,

My fiance is awaiting package 3. My questions are, does the resume require notarization? and My fiance is a manager over the statistics and medical records departments. Her degree is in accounting. Is this considered technical from immigration view point?

Also, she is a member of the CCP. We disclosed this information with her K1 visa application. We also included her personal letter explaining the reason for her membership is for job security and pay. Also, I included a letter explaining my knowledge of her being a CCP member. The application was approved with this information. Should we have concerns?

    Thanks in advance!

  9. It's been over a month for us. I have been calling periodically throughout the week and also sent an email. All of the responses are the same like I'm speaking to a Robot. Next time I call I'm going to try to ask them what the weather is like today. But it just seems like if you haven't reached the 8 week mark you get the stock response. Here is a copy of stock email I received just recently.

    Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) has not received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please allow at least eight weeks from the date USCIS approved your petition for us to receive it.
    Sincerely,
    Delia

Also I haven't tried the DOS number yet. I'll try them this week assuming they are open

My NOA2 date is also 11/21/13. I telephoned the NVC on Monday, December 23, 2013. I was told, "your case was received today, it is in th process of being prepared, then it will be assigned a case number. It is too early to provide you with a case number at this time. Please allow up to 8 weeks." So, it is likely that your case arrived around the same time as mine, just that my case was luckly pulled before yours. You should receive a different response very soon. Good luck!

  10. Texas Service Center

    Received NOA2 on November 21, 2013.

Today I received email and text message stating,

"On December 13, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

    Starting to feel better now!

I am excited now because it seems things are finally moving again!

  12. Good news!

    Received NOA2 Approval letter today!

10/23/2013: Sent I-129F to Dallas Lockbox
    10/25/2013: NOA1 Issued
    11/21/2013: NOA2 Issued

I feel better now after receiving approval. I front loaded the K1 Visa Application with CCP disclosure letter from fiance and a letter disclosing my knowledge of her being a member of the CCP. Also, I included my fiance's criminal background letter as well as reference letter from her employer.

    My approval letter states,

The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about the visa issuance, or if you would like them to forward the petition to a different consulate. The petitioner can also file form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we notify another consulate of the petition approval for visa processing purposes.

  13. Thanks to everyone for sharing your helpful insight and experiences. We have mentally prepared ourselves for a longer approval date, due to additional background check. Having said that, at the same time, we are hoping for a shorter background check time frame. I will keep everyone posted with future developments.

  14. Hello to all,

My fiance' and I have recently applied for Fiance Visa, she is a rank-and-file CCP member, is there anyone here who has a fiance with ties to the CCP that have been through the process or currently in the process? If so, please give insight as to what to expect during this process. Thanks in advance!
