  2. Hey folks

I need advice from you regarding F3 visa for married children. I am a US citizen and a senior , want to sponsor my married child and wondering which would be

the best way to sponsor.  I hear F3 takes about 10+ years and  considering my age I dont want to take that  chance .

That child overseas can also be sponsored by his siblings  here in US  on a F4 visa. What do you think

    thanks

Hi, I am struggling to get a copy of my birth certificate as none of my family lives in Pakistan anymore. Can you please help me and let me know where I can get the birth certificate requested from online. I live in Dallas and not sure if its possible to get it online

    Try

www.mamooinpakistan.com  . If this doesnt work out for you and you are from Karachi , contact me and I will find some agent for you .
  4. I want to apply for fee waiver on the Medi-Cal basis  but there is a requirement from USCIS that I get a verification letter from Medi-Cal specifying

begin and end date. Medical people tell me that it has no end date, it is an open ended thing . How do I resolve this issue. Thanks

Why are you so sure you broke continuity of residence? For absence less than one year, that presumption is a rebuttable one, which you can overcome by presenting facts and evidence claiming you were absent involuntarily (e.g., family emergency, work) and you maintained a US residence during your absence (e.g., had home, paid utilities, made financial transactions, filed taxes, and kept immediate family in the US).

Because  I have a weak argument. I do not possess a house or rent an apartment, I have never worked int his country , have never paid any taxes or utulities, so you can see my weak position.

  6. I am wondering about the time "spent outside "  in a year rule . Does it mean a calendar year or just the period even if it overlapses two years. Example would be,   Left USA  08/06/2016   Entered USA 01/26/2017 .  Total time out 5 months 02 days. Would all be counted in a year or 4 months in 2016 and rest in 2017. I hope I explained it clearly Thanks

  7. no problem. I am glad that I could help somebody. I had hard time finding this information. You are right in saying that Birth certificates used to be issued by the municipality . Not any more , at least in Sindh. You can of course try

your municipality. I got mine and my wife both from Nadra.ll You don't have to go to Nadra by the way. The municipality will issue it thru the union council. Check this out.

  8. Birth certificates are required. It is not a big deal . Nadra does it now . All you have to do is fill in the required forms , pay the fees , attach the NIC and give it to an agent. It cost me 5k per certificate otherwise it would have taken long to get it .

Of course USCIS accepts it. They accepted mine and I got my GC. They know all about Nadra and the Pakistani system.

  9. I am a US citizen and have petitioned for my 82 year old mother (I-130 and I-485) . At the interview my mother was asked for death certificate of my father who passed away 25 years ago in middle east . She does not have the death certificate. can not understand why this certificate was asked for?. This is not a requirement of I-130 or I-485. No decision was made by the officer. Any suggestion advice would be greatly welcome.?.

  10. Hi

I filed (I-13- and I-485) for my parents in Nov. 2013. Got NOA in a week. NBC was in Lees summit, MO.

My parents were scheduled for interview in November at Santa Ana, CA. father went for the interview in march, was approved and got his green card a week later. My mother received a letter one week before the interview stating that her case has been identified as an "interview waiver case" but because of backlog her case may take another six months to complete.

Both applications were filed the same day(Nov 20, 2013) , both got an interview in march 2014 one case was finalized and approved the other delayed by more than six months ?. It is quite puzzling.

    Any reason for this.
