  1. I'm Confused i got another email saying our case was transferred : On November 14, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.

But this is the first email i got :

On November 13, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

What is the real date that they transferred our case???huh.pnghuh.pnghuh.png

If you read through other posts on this very site, you can find that answer, probably about 12 times too. It's going to TX CA or NE. Keep calling and asking and then read your letter when you get it, THAT will be accurate.

  2. I just called USCIS to see if they could tell me where we were transferred to and they said I have to wait for my letter... Haven't I waited long enough?

Call them again and keep calling until they tell you (talk to tier two). Most times you get people that don't know what they're doing or what they're looking at or HOW to find the information, but keep trying. The info is there and they cam find it (unless you just got notified today or yesterday sometimes it DOES take a day to show up.

  3. Thats good to hear :)

They usually forwarded the case to the nearest USCIS local office where the petitioner reside. so probably our case was forwarded in California Service Center.unsure.pngunsure.png

LOL, no they don't. Petitioner address has nothing to do with service center address where your case will be transferred to. I live 200 miles from the TX service center, but my case is in CA, 1600 miles away.

  4. well this is just it, I didn't think it mattered really what country you came from as rules are rules right? Visa waiver is just our type of visa I'm pretty sure she just meant any kind of visa..i don't know..im worried its not good information as I don't want to screw things up for us following this advice..

me too Shamo Lisa Im curious as to what people say which is why i thought its best to come on here and ask about it. but yeah she said it very matter of fact and I was shocked because I didn't even ever factor that as an option thinking that rules are rules..

There is a visa waiver program...

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html

But the countries applicable are limited.

  5. Hi,

I'm gonna post this in a few threads as I'm not sure what to think and welcome any knowledge or advice on this as I was taken aback when I heard this today at our info pass appt. From a lot of advice on this thread I went a scheduled an info pass and this is what I was told...

So I'm Australian and met my husband who is American in Dubai we had both been working and living there a few years. We decided to live in the US as he wanted to return and in January got married in Colorado while on holidays from work in dubai. In Feb we filed the i-130 and in mar the i-129f which we thought would help and it seemed from a lot of research that that was the way to go about things. We and heard nothing until 2 weeks ago when we got a letter saying its been transferred to nebraska.

The plan was to move to New York in July which we did, thinking that by now I would have had everything done and unprocessed and already be looking for work. How wrong were we. We did move everything from Dubai to NY in July with our ignorant thinking this whole green card thing is a breeze not realising the lengthy delay that was about to hit us, I am Australian so have been here on Visa Waiver program and ESTA (90 days) but now have to leave in 2 weeks when it is up. Disappointed it has taken so long we decided to schedule an INFOpass appt and went today here in NYC to find out what the hold up is hoping to get some insight. We came back with a whole bunch of other info that we never expected to hear.

First our immigration lady could not understand why we married here and left back to Dubai and then applied for both the i-130 and k3 (i-129f) she thinks the k3 is pointless. She said it would have been a whole lot easier if I just came here with my now husband and got married and applied for the i-130 together with the i-485 (adjustment of status) in one hit and that if we had done that I would have been processed and legal by now. In fact she said we should have waited till we moved in July and done this all as before July we were still based in Dubai. She did say it was too late to do this now as we have already filed the i-130 and it must be done concurrently. We felt very disappointed that this was even an option and we had no idea. She did explain that coming from Australia my options opened up as opposed to people coming from other countries.

SO what she suggested when my husband asked about me being interviewed here rather than sydney if I was visiting at the time if we could do it here. She actually suggested that since we have already filed the i-130 and have to wait for that approval that once we receive the approval and if I come back to the US (which is what i plan to do after I leave in a couple weeks is return a few weeks later) and am in the US when we receive that approval that I can apply for an adjustment of status (i-485) on the spot before it goes to the NVC and get my employment authorisation and all that and basically just wait out the rest of the process legally and be able to work and get a social security number and all that.

I was shocked to say the least as I did not realise we could do that, i and to keep asking her questions and have her repeat what she was telling me as I was preparing to go back to australia next month and wait out a 6 month separation (because of the delays) from my husband. What I don't understand is if this is legal to do why isn't everyone doing this? Has anyone done this or heard this, as ringing the call centre you only get useless information and not anything like this.

I want to find out if this is the case before i leave, because we had decided if we had to have a big break from each other that maybe I could got o germany and visit my cousin there for a couple weeks and then come back in on visa waiver and stay a couple more months before going to Australia and waiting it out. Otherwise if this is an option I might just go to Australia now and come back to him as soon as its approved as I think its only a couple months away that approval letter. I hope this makes sense.

Must be nice. Many of us are marrying spouses in countries not on the "Visa Waiver Program" list. So most of us have to wait this out while apart, and didn't even look into anything like that since there's zero chance of that for us. I was told even applying for a tourist visa while a spouse visa is in the system, that both would probably be disapproved just for having two visas in the system.

  6. I just got transferred to local office on Nov 8, 2013. How long is the process untill i get to hear the decision?

    Mine*

I'm guessing that you'll get another transfer notice around the 12-13th (11th is a federal holiday for Veteran's Day, so USCIS will surely not be working), that says trasnferred to "a USCIS office and is now being processed" or "transferred to another office." No one I've seen here has ever been transferred to a local office but to TSC, CSC, NSC. The USCIS director ordered all I-130's from NBC to split up between those three service areas, so that's what happening. But the USCIS online system is not always accurate.

  7. Can any one help me

I called usics 3 times in last months and once yesterday.

    Spoke to tier 2.

He said my case was transferred to a local field office.

But he never told me where. Only dates which was sep26.

He said they cannot give out location ??

Any clues on local field office.

Is it office in my state of usics. ?

When I first got to this site, it was on page 125. I read through all 125 of those pages. I'd suggest everyone read through this entire forum topic and everyone can get many of the answers that everyone else has already had. that being said, most everyone that has been told it was a local office found out later that was not true, but it was at a service center. I'd call every day until they tell you a service center. No one at USCIS has given me the same answer twice, but I kept calling until I at least got the same answer that most of the people with successful case progress here have gotten. Hope this helps.

  8. How can he talk to a tier 2? I think he always talk to a tier 1. Yes Lee Summit is NBC that's why i'm wondering a lot about it. Good luck, hope to hear some good news soon. Thank you.

When he calls USCIS have him tell them "Can I talk to a tier 2 customer service rep? I'm confused where my case is because I'm getting conflicting information." I always act confused when I call, so they then transfer me to someone else that knows nore information (sometimes they do, sometimes they don't).

  9. We haven't received any snail mail or even email regarding our case but when we checked our status it's say it was transferred oct 25th then now processed on a uscis office. When my husband talked to a uscis rep, he said it was transferred to lee summit, grrrrr what's happening? Pd mar 11 as well.

Lee Summit MO is the NBC. Did your husband talk to Tier 1 or Tier 2? They told me that too, then later they told me CSC, so they could be wrong... But I would expect something early next week based on other timelines. At least I hope so.

  10. Four weeks is what they told my attorney, but I think they will approve before that because I saw three cases at Nebraska being approved around two weeks.

Is there someone who can put a timeline to track the approval of the transferred application. There are three Nebraska,Texas and California Service Centers. I saw the post above that stated it will take 4 weeks in Nebraska Service Center. I think it would help to track so really we know what is the truth.

Ya, I haven't kept track of 'how many' have come from Nebraska since I just now started keeping track in my head. I have seen one from Texas and two from California (where mine is at), and many more from Nebraska (just a guess based on all the posts - hard to keep track when so many people say congrats to posts about approvals). But everything I've noticed is almost exactly 10 'work days' from "your case has been transferred AND IS BEING PROCESSED" to being approved.

  11. Guys,

I was checking eBay when I received this:

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On November 8, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Wooooohoooo. Just got mine approved. It was also at the CSC. I don't know if it has to do with anything but I called Monday asking for military expedite due to future deployment. Then I got an email Wednesday asking for my military ID (which was already in the file). Normally they ask for orders or notification letter so the lack of need for it made me think that it was already toward the top. I faxed my ID in and tonight at 2220 CST. I got that in my email. My pd was 14 March I think.

    Congrats!

When were you transferred from NBC to CSC?

  12. 3rd updated ( all 3 petition)

nov. 6 - transferred to another ofc

nov. 7 - transferred to your local ofc

nov. 8 - transferred and being processed

    good.gifgood.gifgood.gif

a kind of relief and stress reliever after how many months of waiting

btw - after this approval right?? then at NVC - should i advise my hubby to prepare the supporting docs and affidavit of support???

I've had my affidavit of support ready since about two months after I got my NOA1. It's never too early to get all that stuff ready (everything you CAN have ready, that is - some forms you have to wait for new/updated/other information before filling out or signing). So yes, I'd get working on that. So you don't have to wait too long in between notice and submitting documents.

  13. Hi all,

I received my 3rd notification regarding the transfer:

"The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office".

Does this mean my file is still with NBC?

1st was saying it was transfered to another office, 2nd was saying it was transferred to our local office.

How can I find out where it is? Will I receive a4th notification?

    Thanks!!!

I just got that text/email. On Nov 5, the notice said 'local office' then today I called and they said it was at the CSC. And now just got the 'at a USCIS office.' So your probably just arrived at the CSC, NSC, or TSC. Hopefully within a few weeks we all get an approval. If I were you I'd call tomorrow and talk to a Tier 2 rep and find out if they can see which SC you're at.

  14. Our case was last touched on 11/05 and the text said 'transferred to your local office,' but didn't mention any kind of snail mail followup. Does that usually follow in a transfer?

I had that same question and asked them today with Tier 2. They said a letter was mailed to me on the 5th, same day my status changed just like yours did. No letter has arrived but they said it's on its way.

  15. Guys mine was last updated Nov. 5th, and since then it says that it was sent to a local office..called USCIS and they also said local office

But no one from here has been transferred to a local office, what do you guys think? My PD is March 18.

My PD is also March 18. I called on the 5th (mine ALSO said local office online) and the customer service person said it was going to "my local office" which was Houston, but they couldn't verify that. I called today, pretended I was more confused than I really am, and they forwarded me to a Tier 2 rep, and he told me it was actually at California Service Center. I too, don't think any are transferring to a local office. The initial reps you talk on the phone know the least of anyone about our cases. So I'd suggest calling tomorrow, asking to talk to a Tier 2 rep by telling them you keep getting conflicting information from customer service, letter, and the website online. That's what I told them. Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

  16. If you check this data here, you can see why the Nebraska folks are getting approvals sooner. I don't think anyone got their case sent to Vermont, because it looks pretty backed up (similar to the National Benefits Center), and California looks like it has about 1000-2000 cases at their location, but Texas has about 40 and Nebraska has even less than that. So I'd guess those trends will continue, at least until we see how it changes after all the transfers are complete.

    http://dashboard.uscis.gov/

I guess that doesn't really mean that ALL the Nebraska people will be approved first, they could have sent 10,000 cases to NE and TX and only sent 8,000 to CA, and only 2,000 stayed at NBC. Who knows, just a thought...
