  1. That's the concept but really, it's what she would put as her delivery address if ordering something online. Just because it doesn't conform to what WE think of as a street address doesn't really matter. Use the space well. I get deliveries all the time. If it's a new driver, they always call. Some people just put the Barangay as their address, but surely, she can be more specific than that. My road has no name, much less a house number. Another tip. Don't waste space typing Brgy or Barangay. They know whatever comes just before the name of the town/city etc. is the Barangay.
  2. Complete her address using the street address field to indicate whatever she would if she was wanting something delivered from Lazada. My address starts with "Red Gate fronting XYZ Store....." then "Purok X, Barangay name, Town, Province and son on. US Citizens do not immigrate to the USA, so NO is the correct answer.
  3. Sure. "I am submitting a revised I-864 as petitioner based on my own current income, which is fully sufficient." You need not say more. You have completely adequate income from a stable permanent US Govt. job. I expect they will see that and approve without a problem.
  4. No. The box just below the one you mentioned is for stepchild. Check that one. Include supporting documents listed in the I-130 instructions for each relative. Required documents are different for the child than your spouse. Adding that each package must be able to stand alone. For example your marriage certificate will be in both stacks/packages. Mail both stacks in the same envelope.
  5. If the petitioner's current income from employment far exceeds the requirement, then they can presumably qualify on their own. The Consular Officer did not make a mistake, in my opinion. Even though the petitioner and parent live in the same house, the petitioner does not need to combine income with the parent. In this situation, the parent does not qualify as a joint sponsor, so their income doesn't help. What is the petitioner's stated "current income"? My solution is to provide a new I-864 from the petitioner, ignoring the parent and equity in the primary residence altogether. If that doesn't carry the day, find a qualified joint sponsor.
  6. Answer yes and indicate the offense and detained. If there was a charge and fine, say so. Don't expect more questions at the USCIS stage, and if the police report is clean, don't expect any issues at the Consulate level either.
  7. I'll add that you will find your travel costs will exceed the direct costs associated with the immigration process. Presumably, you've made one trip already, and will probably make 1 of more additional trips, then your spouse will eventually travel to the USA.
  8. Great advice. Also become an A-Student of the I-130 instructions before completing the forms. Same with any form. Do not rely on tips, except this one. "Do the homework" described in the previous sentence. We'll be here to answer anything you don't understand.
  9. I know that is the correct document. I asked if that's the one you have. If it is, you should be ok.
  10. If you have already decided to change your name. Use the new name on the I-130. It's fine to complete the name change later. Even so, you can change the name any time, as long is it is early enough to take the new passport to the visa interview. Not that when Bill Smith marries Mary Jones, those are always the names on the marriage certificate. Mary Jones is not yet Mary Smith until AFTER the marriage takes place, so she has no Mary Smith documents yet.
  11. You don't name the document she has. Is it this one? Document Name: ...For Islamic religious authorities, it is called the Talaqnama. Issuing Authority: ...Muslim religious bodies.
  12. I agree it's better to meet first. The length of visits is also very important. The best evidence of a bona fide relationship is always the time you spend together in person. That applies to every country, but not in equal measure.
  13. If you paid the AOS fee of 120 and cannot pay it for the children, they are already connected. If it will let you pay that fee for either child, don't pay. Call or email to get them connected. Do not proceed one at a time.
  14. You give NVC everything they ask for, whether sent before or not. There are no "cosponsors". You mean "Joint Sponsor". Now is the time to become an A-Student of the I-864 and its excellent instructions. Study carefully. Interpret literally. If the joint sponsor is married filing a joint tax return, then their spouse should also provide an I-864a, whether they have income or not and whether their income is needed or not. It's not just about income. It's a contract.
  15. Make sure the cases are connected and processed together at NVC. If you get your wife's visa first, it will expire before the children get there's.
  16. This is a common message anybody gets if their last tax return doesn't show qualifying income. If you are confident you have qualifying CURRENT INCOME, simply ignore the message. It is a suggestion, not a request or requirement.
  17. The first answer you got covers consummation issue but the above does not. Above is all very good information, but if you do the online/proxy/Utah marriage, you must be together with your spouse AFTER or DURING the ceremony and show evidence of that when filing the initial petition. In short, one visit only BEFORE the marriage, is not enough to start the process. Since you'll be dealing with a Consulate that sees a high level of US Immigration fraud, the strongest evidence you have a bona fide (not just legal for immigration purposes) marriage is the evidence of the time you spend together in person. If your goal is to minimize travel and time together, you need to change that goal.
  18. Nothing in that link indicates the man ever held a US passport. What's your point? I said all a person needs is a US passport. Did this guy have one?
  19. And since she lives in Japan, no documents from the Philippines will be needed except birth certificate and police report. If a CENOMAR is asked for, it will show here having no marriages in the Philippines. Might be a good idea to get one of those, just in case. Comes from the same place she gets her birth certificate, the Philippine Statistics Authority. (Formerly National Statistics Office)
  20. Consular Officer cannot see documents that have not been submitted. Submit them.
  21. You don't need somebody following the same path. What you need is the correct answers and procedures. See the anonymous quote in my signature.
