I had 500 pages of texts/calls, facebook and email messages (international phone via work, not a problem) over a 10 month period. What I did was give them a 10% sample (first page, every 10th page, and last page). 50 pages. Something like that. This way it showed continuity over time. My lawyer said it was more than adequate. Just got our NOA1 so I dont know if they will want more. If they want data I can bury them in data. 10 trips to Colombia in a year and over 1000 photos together, plus videos, etc. Proof of our relationship is not an issue!

Cualquier entrada o la experiencia acerca de la Embajada de Colombia? Parece que es un proceso de entrevistas bastante fácil en Bogotá. Yo pensaba que iba a comentar y seguir este hilo desde que mi esposa es colombiana. Conocimos a octubre de 2012 y nos casamos 31 de agosto 2013 (parte de la decisión inicial fue Sabía que este proceso tomaría algún tiempo y estábamos listos). Empezamos este proceso en octubre pasado. Se está poniendo viejo. La veo cada dos meses durante una semana o dos. Ella vive en Bogotá, pero hemos viajado por todo ... Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Platón, Medellin, Cali. Gracias para todo...

My wife arrived a week ago last Tuesday, December 2. All went well at the airport. The "cover page" on her folder ripped off in my computer bag and that caused a bump for a few minutes (as well as an additional bag scan) but after I finally realized what they were asking me for, everything went smoothly. Coming from Colombia to DC in December is the hardest transition she is having right now, as well as all of the slang used and speed in which English is spoken, but she is adapting very well.

I am just getting our interview documents together now. The lawyer just sent 2 inches of docs, plus what I have. Now I have to sort it out and categorize, see if I am missing anything etc. My wifes interview is in 2 weeks from today. I am leaving for Bogota in 12 days. I am hoping she will have a POE on 2 Dec. That is what we have planned.

I have a ton of people asking me everyday when will she arrive. Many, many Colombians are also waiting on her to arrive...people she has not even met yet, but are friending her on Facebook in anticipation! hahahaha

Well I must say this is the best Friday I have seen on VJ in a year. I am so happy for everyone, it has been a long time coming. My wife is doing backflips. She has been calling all her friends and family today. I can't express my happiness enough, for us as well as for everyone else. Have a beautiful evening and start planning!

So funny...i can feel for ya!
My wife is coming from Colombia. She has never been to the US. She is probably going to arrive in DC in December. I wanted her to arrive in the summer or fall and not when all the leaves are missing and when it is so cold outside (compared to where she is from). Anyways, the past few days I have ordered clothes for her from Victorias Secret and Nordstroms:
1. Two winter wool coats
2. Four cashmere sweaters
3. Three cashmere or wool winter dresses
4. Two pairs of high heeled full length leather boots
They all got here today. It was nice to start putting her clothes in the closet. It felt like we were one step closer to being together.
Everybody knows about women, clothes and shopping. Colombian women are on steroids when it comes to clothes and (especially) shoes/high heels...Thank God I make great money!
Anyways, she has some things here for her first few days and I am sure the first week we will spend a lot of time taking care of her "winter wardrobe" (What am I going to do? All of my closets are full of my shoes and clothes!) HAHAHAHAHAHA....first world problems. I am blessed!

I just got off the phone with a Supervisor review. She was very helpful and took great care of me. I am very happy this morning CASE COMPLETE! It is not showing NA on the payment page yet, and I dont have the email yet, but she cleared the checklist after reviewing the Police Record. She had to modify the checklist in the system and marked it complete while I was on the phone with her. She said they will try to schedule my wife's interview for November (haven't started scheduling yet for Bogota).
