Hi There following the post closely. Congratulations to all who got approved n done with this journey with USCIS. And hats off to them who are done but still active n help and guide others thank you. 
I have new update on my case n would like to have guidance n help if any one experienced something similar. 
I had my interview on February 6th and that day my IO request me come back for biometrics on February 15th. I went and did it only my IO was absent that day so other IO took care of me and told me only my IO who took my interview can make decision so wait. After waiting 3-4 weeks I called 800 number and spoke to L2 officer he confirmed that my biometrics are uploaded n all is fine and now when it is almost 82 days after I received call in notice from Federal plaza with explaining three lines
Ask for: Biometrics information collection
Reason for appointment: Review of your application
Bring with you: your Permanent Resident card

Please suggest or guide if anyone experienced this before.

Hi there I m following this forum since April 2018 when I applied for my N400 online. I applied online on April 13 2018

received my biometrics Appointment end of April and had my interview at NY Federal plaza on Feb 6th 2018. Everything went fine by the end of the interview my IO told me she can’t make decisions as computer is down and she can’t verify my finger prints otherwise you are all set and gave me appointment to come back on feb 15 2019 just for fingerprints. I went on that day but my IO was not present that day her day off, so other IO took care of it and my fingers prints was taken. Since than I am waiting for any updates my online status still says we scheduled your interview. I called USCIS twice once spoke to L2 officer he advised to wait couple of more weeks. After waiting almost 4 weeks I called again the L1 officer refused to transfer to L2 officer and said your case is still pending for decision wait 90days from your interview and than call. No updates still I check my case status 3-4 times a day. I filled on 3 year marriage base I m from queens New York. While checking the online fillers time I a have exactly Similar time as @Rockioz.

If any one had similar situation please share as it is very frustrating to wait n wait n no answer.

Some you can. I was at a very very busy location today where the average wait was 2 hours. I saw some people get turned away or asked to come back... the worse that can happen is that they say it's too busy today. 

 

LUCKY YOU!! I did mine this morning in Buena Park... it was 2+ hours of terrible wait time. I did Santa Ana my first time when I did AOS and it was smooth and quick. I probably was in an hour in 30 minutes or less... today, I was there at 10:30 and out by 12:45.

need help I filled my petition early feb on feb 1st package delivered on feb 4th received my acceptance letter on Feb 11th Vermont center dated Feb 6th. But since feb 19th I am away out of country as my mother was critically sick n sadly passed away n I still away. Just thinking of missing my biometric appointment. Tried to check my receipt number or case status on uscis website but not giving any answer. Can you please provide me with any special instructions on anybody's biometric letter like special web link or direct call number regarding this as I don't want to no show and denial in my application. Please help I m from New York metro area

Hello! Everyone I was following this topic for few months now filled my AOS in end of June 2014 NPIW September 23rd 2014. I called USCIS 2 weeks ago spoke to the agent she checked my case status saying my case is out of time frame n checked which city I applied from and she assured me that she is going to contact the agent who is working on my case with notification.. And I checked my case status today online x

1. both. we had emailed the embassy with a question and they told us to wait a week and then ask again. we got the confirmation letter in email and then packet 4 2 or 3 days later via mail. there is no packet 3.

2. i think it was about 1-2 weeks. we emailed the embassy because they just changed things and wanted clarification on the new process, told us to email back the next week, and then by the end of the week my fiance had the hard copy of the letter and packet. once nvc gives a case number, it only takes days to get to india, but the embassy isnt immediate to process your case either. i think that is why they said to wait a few more days.

3. when you get your packet, it gives step by step instructions on what to do. scheduling your interview is the last step, but YOU get to choose the dates. you actually have 2 appointments to set up, ofc to take fingerprints and picture (which there are plenty of spots and you will probably be able to go in next day), and then interview (which we had to wait only 2 weeks).

4. pcc is confusing. register online, pay, and once the payment clears you can just walk in to the office and pick it up. i think it took my fiance only 2 days.

5. not at all. my fiance called ahead of time and got an appointment for later that week. BUT you can not get your medical done until you have the confirmation letter from embassy stating your case is ready to more forward. as soon as you get that letter, get it done cause itll take a full week to get the results.

6. as far as i know, you can attend the interview with your fiance still. and it looks better when you do cause they can see your interaction together.

7. the only forms needed now are the ds-160 which is done online, and the i-134.

heres a copy of the letter we got;

if i remember correctly, i think you can start the application without having a case number and fill in the blanks later. you will not be able to schedule your interviews until youve paid the visa fee.

A-I never received any package from New Delhi Embassy. We got our appointment letter in an email, that also after we sent them an email.

2. how long it took from getting case number from NVC to receiving you interview package
A- We never recieved the package. My fiance called the NVC and through them, We came to know my interview was scheduled. So Via an email we demanded my appointment letter.

3. Did you schedule your interview or you were assigned date and time already when you received your package??
A-My interview date was assigned by New Delhi embassy.
U must call NVC to know your case status.

4.How long it took you to get your PCC from passport seva kender
A- Ur Fiance needs to schedule an online appointment with local Passport Seva Kender. He will get the PCC the same day, if no issues.

5. if it was difficult to get appointment for your medical exam ??
A-No, but they do need ur appointment letter to schedule an appointment, That also U can schedule online.
**If the Visa gets approved ur fiance will have to go within 6 months. That 6 months will begin from her medical date, not from Visa approval date.

6.do you know if they allow your fiancé with you at interview at New Delhi embassy or not ?? as I want to be there with my fiancé on the time of interview so need to make travel plans and prepare all needed documents also.
A- Yes,ofcource..The petitioner is allowed to accompany the beneficiary.it will be great if u accompany ur fiance.

thats fantastic! hopefully the time it takes at the nvc wont be as long as it took ours.

my helpful hints are these:

-make sure the pcc is from the regional passport office. you can register online, fill the form, pay and then just walk in when your ready to pick it up.

-as soon as you get the confirmation letter or email from the embassy that they are ready to work on your case, get your medical appointment done. it takes a week to get the results and you cant have your interview without it.

-get all your i-134 documents together and mailed asap. remember that the signed form needs to be an original, not a copy so you have to mail it. it takes time for snail mail, so i would try to get this done first.

-check, double check, triple check that you have everything you need to bring to the interview!

once the embassy receives your case, it goes relatively fast from there. we got our interview just 2 weeks after they got it. good luck!

. Hi davesings I m in the same boat as you are checked your timeline. I also sent my i129f on July 31st received by TSC on August 2nd, email n Noa1 is August 6th since than alien registration changed twice 28th August first with email n txt notification n while checking my status online again it says on October 16th alien registration changed since than no updates on the status. There are lots of petition filled after my filling date already approved I don't understand what is there criteria we are in New York may that matters I don't know. Just waiting n thinking of calling USCIS on Friday if nothing changes since than. Will update again so best of luck to both of us.

Thank you Devy & Lynette! I have a feeling y'all will get an approval this weekend! I will be praying for you guys. I know the feeling...so just be patient. I called USCIS and requested that I speak with a USCIS officer. First I thanked them for working through the government shutdown and for doing a great job (no pun intended) Then I told them that I could not understand why some petitions with a later submission date were getting approved while my petition had no change in status since 6th of september. I asked them whether my file was assigned to any USCIS officer and if there was anything that was missing that was delaying the approval. The USCIS officer gave the standard answer "Every petition is different and that normal processing time is around 5 months" I told her that I understood all that, but i just couldnt understand what made some petitions so "special" to warrant an early approval. She then asked me for my mailing address and date of birth. I just said " i hope I am not in trouble" and thanked her for her time. Not sure if that helped.

HI imsantosh thanks for this details conversation as I am planning to USCIS next week if there is no update on my case. My K1 filling date is august 2nd and NOA1 date is august 6th, Alein registration number change twice august 28th and than on Oct16th and since than no changes...

Hi Rose4dave no have no idea about this as of now but I read couple of post from other forum some people received it few hours or days before there case approval mine is also now more than a week no change. I called USCIS last Friday but they said no update your case is in initial review if you need more information please apple for info pass through there website, But I decided to wait for few more days will call them may be next week again.

I did not get an email when the second time alien registration number was changed, I just randomly saw that on USCIS website, and it was about a couple of hours later I got both text message and email from USCIS saying my petition was approved, and going to be forwarded to NVC. I believe yours is coming soon too, just hang in there.

Hi all, I'm wondering what does that mean "On September 27, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). " This is the second time I got this message. I filed application on Aug, 9, received this message on Aug, 21, and now again??
