It doesnt make any sense at all f1 visa ,h1, b1 all these visa can there spouse and children while they come to usa and USA citizens cannot bring there spouse and kids on visiting visa also. And now even green card holder can get there spouse and kids with few months but citizens has to wait for years and months. This is really very bad.

Force them to cross illegally? really? nobody is forcing them to come here. Not my problem that they were born in a different contry. If you can't get here legally, then don't come. We have laws. Don't come here and expect us to accomidate YOU... UGHHH.. and I heard some news story about some illegal complaining to Obama that they are being deported unnecessarily.. Um really??? the nerve of an illegal to stand up to our president like he has a right to demand something after he broken our immigration laws..... its sickening. and I can't get my husband here the legal way in a decent amount of time. 8.5 months and counting.. meanwhile the illegals get to sleep next to their loved one, go on vacation together and get on with their lives... .

I-130 sent on December 20th to the Chicago lockbox from France using express mail. Not hoping for a quick NOA1 at this time of the year but I am with you nanana, hoping our petitions get approved fast. Happy holidays to all!

Did you include G-1145 form ? if yes, you are going to get a notification on your phone and email and then after few days you are going to recive a hard copy of noa1 I -797C form with snail mail. Do you have tracking number for your package? You have to remember that Christmas are coming so they are going to have some days off probably..

You guys will not get transferred cause your files are going/went to the service centers directly from the Lockbox.
So it's Lockbox-> Service Center
That's the way it used to be up until August 2012 when USCIS started sending them: Lockbox-> NBC-> local office (that was a disaster)
All the transfers you're seeing do not apply to you. They apply only to people whose cases were sent to NBC and have been collecting dust for many, many months.
Petitions filed after end of Octoberish are being sent directly to: California Service Center, Nebraska Service Center, Texas Service Center and Vermont Service Center.
Btw, there are two NBCs (National Benefits Centers). One in Lee's Summit, MO (that's the backlogged one), and one in Overland Park, KS (that's the one everyone has been waiting to become fully operational. Never happened).

Also, I was told by a former IO that passport pics often get ruined when they scan them. They get stuck to a scanner or sth.
