I'm almost certain there is no fee for the DS-160, I haven't seen that anywhere and my fiancé didn't have to pay any fee. So just the MRV fee!

The MRV fee is not for the DS-160, that's the fee you pay once you have your interview date, it's the fee for the visa itself.

So I'm a November filer, and was past the 5 months and did the same as you. I found out, it won't allow you to do that, as it actually goes by their "internal processing times" so I called and they wouldn't let me either saying they processing dates from October at my time. I got frustrated just like you, so I understand. They also weren't nice whatsoever, so I went to my congressman and the woman in charge of immigration was more than welcome to inquire about my case. She did so the same day I sent my papers, and 3 business days later I got an approval. She had never even received a reply to the inquiry until after I got approved so I do believe their inquiry helped. If they won't let you put in a request over the phone, just go ahead and contact your congressman or senator. I got my NOA2, 5 months and 16 days after I filed.

That is for the I-130, I am for the K-1 visa. So you have the incorrect threads for my topic.

    HI TheFoxxy,
did you have any issues putting in a service request? I called today, and neither a tier 2 officer, or supervisor, would put in a request saying they couldn't because it wasn't past their internal processing times.

I have just called USCIS because we are past the 5 month mark. The lady I spoke with said she couldn't put in a service request because they are processing applications from October 22nd supposedly. I asked to be transferred to a tier 2 officer, and am waiting for the call back for it.
Has anyone had that situation where the person wouldn't put it in? This is absolutely ridiculous.
