Thank you as well. This waiting is hard but one day it will all just be a distant memory for all of us, And the joy that follows will be worth all this pain.

I have never posted on this thread but I just spent the last 4 days reading every post. My heart goes out to all of you that are still waiting. This process is very unfair and will make us all go crazy if we let it
So now to tell my story, we applied on July 18th 2013 and were the very last ones on the july thread to get out noa2 on May 31st 2014. It only took 3 weeks to get our NVC case number and AOS invoice but because of a missing cosponser we had to wait. Our IV bill took another 6 weeks to be unlocked and thankfully we found a cosponser by then. After waiting for them to finally get the stuff together we were able to send off everything at once on the 23rd of this month. It all arrived at NVC on October 27th. So I just our wait has just begun yet again.
The worst part about all this is after reading all these post I just know we will get a check list and have to wait even longer, but on the bright side we won't have to file for change of conditions once my husband is here lol.

Well after calling exactly 90 times (gotta love the call count on iPhone lol) and then waiting on hold for 40 minutes I found out our case was received at NVC on June 2nd. So how long should I wait until I start calling for our case number? Or will the email I sent cover that part for us?

Thank you. I have been reading all day about this part of the process and I think I might be more confused than when I start lol. Guess it will all make sense once I start seeing the things mentioned.

I need your help. My husband is being held by the police in Nigeria after a traffic check and will not release him because they know he has an American wife and are demanding an ungodly about of money. Does anyone know if there is something I can do other than pay almost a thousand dollars ?????

I understand where you are coming from. It was a very odd situation, but I guess it was some what my fault for not telling everyone that I personally was never asked for the money. Maybe that would have cleared things up a bit. They were only demanding the money from my husband. The only reason I knew they wanted money is because my brother told me after he contacted the station. Anyway it doesn't matter now since it has all been cleared up. Thanks for caring enough to warn me. I know all too well how bad scammers are in this world today.

I want to thank you all for your opinions. I am the biggest skeptic even. I have know my husband for 10 years but only started dating 3 years ago. Here in the USA we are trained to think every nigerian is a scammer and that's why it was so hard for me to commit to him. After years of getting to know his friends and family I finally decided to just give in to love. I know this sounds like a scam and I have to admit at first I was wondering myself, but I know my husband too well to think that. Like I said he just fell victim of a Hungary police man and I know it will all be well by morning. You guys really are the best for trying to help the "innocent victims" and I pray one day your advice wakes someone from the sweet words that are too often used as a tool for money.

Ok do as soon as the tier 2 officer reviewed my information SHE SAID that my case was out of processing time and she was going to file a service request for me. She put me on hold for maybe 2 minutes and then came back and told me I would here something by march 25th I'm shock. The hold was less than an hour as well. And the tier 2 conversation was less than 5 minutes

My husband and I were married in Warri last year and even though I got divorced only 2 months before our wedding we had no problem. I didn't have to show any paper work. They accepted my word that I was legal to marry and all was well.
