  1. here's your answer"

The following are the Filipino migrants who are required to attend the CFO-GCP:

    1. Fiancé/e/ spouse/ partner of Foreign national;
    2. Fiancé/e/spouse/ partner of former Filipino citizen;
    3. Fiancé/e / spouse/partners of Filipino with dual citizenship;
  2. You have to choose from the dropdown AMERICAN (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA). We have the same case, my petitioner also had dual citizenship, both Philippines and US, but I still attended the seminar, got my certificate and left without any hassle at the airport.

    Hello.

I have my citizenship interview next month.

I was reviewing the form and I found some errors that I didn't spot when I submitted it (I should have had someone to re-reviewed it before I submitted the papers, but well, it is already done)

I am a concerned if those errors will cause a delay in the decision or if it will even be a reason for denial.

    The errors were:

    1. I put my phone # instead of my work #.
    2. I said my husband only had 1 marriage, when he actually had 2, including me. However, I did provide information about the previous spouse and marriage and attached the divorce certificate.
    3. in section 12, when It asks if I belonged to the Nazi Government, I forgot to mark the boxes "NO". However, I was not even born at that time, so I guess it answer the question itself.
    4. in section 10, for current spouse's home address, I put the state instead of the county, nothing in the state box,  and for some reason, in the box "county (foreign address only") says unknown, which I really doubt I wrote that. But the address itself is the same as mine, since we life together of course.
    5. I forgot to add N/A or "none" to those questions did't apply to me.

I can't withdraw the papers at this time, so I just hope I don't have too many problems.

Do you think these errors will cause me problems?  I was reading that some minor errors or typos are easy to fix in the interview, but I don't know if this will be my case.

    Any advise?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Don't worry, everything will be verified again by the interviewing officer. I had a new employer at the time of my interview, she just typed the new information herself on her computer. And the officer will verify your address a number of times during the interview. Well, good luck to you!

Need some advice regarding our situation.

My father (a US Citizen) filed an I-130 for my married sister in February 2007. My father passed away in April 2010.

Going through the notices we received, my sister received her I-130 approval from USCIS in August 2010.

My sister recently received her notice from NVC. We mentioned to them in an email that the petitioner, my father, has passed away and they asked for his death certificate which we emailed recently. Still waiting to hear back from them.

Our mother (my deceased father's wife) is currently living with me in the US (she has a green card for over 10 years) and my brothers all immigrated to the US a while back and are all US Citizens. My sister's only child  also got married and immigrated to the United States a few years ago and is a greencard holder.

I was just searching regarding how the immigration process works for a deceased petitioner and to my surprise it seems that the application would be revoked. Is that true for our situation? My question is, is there any hope for my sister and her husband to immigrate to the US since my father passed away (and my brothers and mother have been in the US)? She has been waiting all these years and most of her family has immigrated to the US and she would like to move here as well to be with family.

I would appreciate if there is any advice if there is any way she can still immigrate to the US. We should not have an issue supporting them.

    Thank you

Have your sister's child petition her mom when she becomes a US citizen.

  5. Hi,

Just a clarification. I had my medical last Monday at St Lukes. On day 2, I was instructed to head to immunization, then at releasing. Does this mean that I passed already? The releasing officer told me not to open the CD.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

Well, if you already have the cd, congrats! You're done with your medical.

  6. thanks., so do u mean i need to wait the package from embassy bfore i fill up this form??? how long bfore i receive the package? coz im planing to fly back to Philippines after ash Wednesday, coz im working at the Church

Here's what you should do. Do you have your MNL# from NVC? If Yes, you should go and pay your visa fee at BPI right away so you can schedule your interview. You can do the DS 169 anytime you want, you dont have to wait for the embassy package. I received the package two months after i got my MNL#.

    DS 160, sorry.

  7. It took ours 48 days to get approved. We were surprised because i thought it will take us three months or so. The fastest approval that i've read here was a month. So relax, i know the waiting could be so frustrating at times. Just hope that you don't get an RFE as it will just delay the approval. Good luck!

  8. Yeah. If I were you I would do the same. But I hope I would not need to have 6 shots it would be hard for me to take care of my son during the medical.

I never had chicken pox, so thats another shot. If you said you had chicken pox, you have to show them your scar if any. I think most people get one to three. Im in the room with two other people, one got just one shot, the other had two. Is your son having the medical too? So dont go on a thursday or friday, they will just ask you to return the following week from what ive heard.

  9. Yeah. We're still in the process of subbmiting aos and iv packet :) and because of your post I am so not looking forward for my medical. Hahahaha! What category are you?

Im on k1. Oh yeah, i kept putting it off for days, but we had to do it sooner or later, might as well get it over with, right? Just be healthy. Aha

  10. I wish it will just took 24hrs cuz tomorrow its weekend. Feels like i cant wait to have my interview schedule. Good luck! ☺️

When you try scheduling online, are still typing in your receipt number? Because i remember, when i tried scheduling after four hours, i was still putting in the receipt number. But after a day, it was automatic, they have your receipt number already.

  11. I pay the visa fee earlier like 2 pm at the BPI bank n then after 4 hours or more than that i tried to register online to have my visa interview schedule n then it says "there are currently no appointments available" even the next year 2015. ?

Oh, you should try again tomorrow. Based on my experience, they said we can schedule after four hours, but mine took 24 hours really.

OMG. I don't think I can bear 6 shots in 1 day. Haha.

I know! My arms and thigh are hurting right now. I had two shots on each arm, then on my thigh.. You havent had your medical yet i suppose?

  12. Hello, everyone, I just finished my medical exam today at St. Lukes in Ermita and I just want to share my experience.

I went yesterday morning, Thursday, as I have read somewhere that there will be no children on thursdays--something to do with their tuberculin test.

I arrived at the clinic at 8.30 AM, the guard checked my requirements and instructed me to go to the US Reception. There was no waiting for me here, I was immediately processed by the nice lady at the counter. She asked for my requirements, one photo ID with my name printed at the back, took a picture of me, had a fingerprint scan of my index finger...took me around 5 minutes for this, then she instructed me to go to the fifth floor to pay the fee at the cashier.

Cashier: there were two people ahead of me, took me around less than five minutes as i gave the exact payment. Then i was told to go to the laboratory.

Laboratory: i waited for like 15-or-so minutes to have my blood sample taken. I thought i needed to also pee in cup but the nurse told me that for US, urine sample is for pregnancy test only. Then i was told to go to xray.

Xray: waited for less than 15 minutes to have my chest xray taken.

Vital signs: waited for 10 minutes to have my blood pressure taken and another 10 minutes for height, weight and visual acuity.

Physical: yes, everyone will disrobe, i waited for maybe 20 minutes for this, but my actual physical exam was 10 minutes only. The doctor just asked a lot of medical related questions, then did the physical for like 3 minutes. Yah, that was fast.

Immunization Interview: maybe 15 minutes for this, 3 minutes for the actual interview, then the nice lady doctor advised me what shots i will be given and she said im done for the day and proceed to the check out counter.

Now here's a gossip i heard. I wasnt totally confident about my chest xray because i had a flu a week before and i was still coughing when i did my medical exam. So while in the queue for the immunization interview, the lady asked the guard what if she gets asked to do a sputum test, then the guard the told her she need not worry because she's already in line for the immunization interview. So thats the first sign of me not taking the sputum test.

Check out counter: 10 minutes waiting, then the lady asked me to come back the following day AT 7:30 AM. So here's the thing, sputum collection opens at 6:30 am, immunization opens at 7:30 am, so i told myself why would she tell me to go back at 7:30 the following day if not for my immunization?! Yehey.

    Day 1 i was done around 10-ish...

Day2: arrived at the clinic 9:30 am. GuArd at the reception checked for my records and stamped IMMUNIZATION. i was glad, whew.

Went up to the immunization area, waited for 15 minutes then i got my shots. They advised me to go to the releasing area to wait for my results. Here, i waited for more than an hour to get my xray cd and immunization record. I was done around 11-ish.

So based on my experience, i dont see why you have to go there at 3 or 4 in the morning to queue. And why go on a monday or tuesday or wednesday when you can go on a thursday when theres no screaming children. But heres what ive heard, if you go early and maybe youre in the first 30 , you can do everything in a day.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. Especially the nurses at the immunization room.

  13. Who among you experienced it? I applied for my NBI clearance last Feb 5 and I got a hit. They told me to be back today, feb 13. When I was there earlier, the officer told me to be at NBI Manila for further checking. I have to go through quality control. I am worried now because of some unpaid internet bills. Could it be the main reason? I need to get my clearance tom :( I need helpppppp!:'(

Hi, were you able to get your clearance already? How was it? I was told to do the same today when I went to Galleria. thanks!

  14. Some people are saying that they were required to present their passport, along with the other items you mentioned and when they didn't have the passport with them they had to return another day after securing their passport. And, others say it's wasn't ask of them. Just FYI.

yeah, i was asked to write my passport number at the back of the bank's copy of the deposit slip.
