Lol MAAAAN!!!! I PRAY NOT!!! Its going to be a close fit. We need a perfect interview with no delays or AP for this to work. But we believe in a powerful almighty God and we are standing firm in His word! No matter how we feel or how the situation looks. We are standing on Gods promises to take care of us and work it for His good. No matter what. He is our God

Anyways there is hope, Nigerian Government has created a committee to address the security and information sharing requested by Trump, hopeful he will have a change of minds and let lovers live where they choose.

Thank you. My laywer has said the same. I'm praying for quick issued visa.

If approved, you should get your passport with the visa in it within 5 business day...  However I will book a flight that departs and arrive the US before the 22nd of February to avoid Trump standing at the airport himself and waiting for Nigerians.

  3. Sorry to hear about the wait. Those guys run the game..... most of the documents you submitted can be classified as private and confidential Docs and telling her u wouldnt want to discuss medical history with her will definately stir her up since immigration is not a right as I was told here.

One other thing I see might have to do with the country where you married your spouse and as a result they will want to make sure it's a legitimate marriage.

All you have to do now is wait, pray and hope it doesnt take more than time....

  4. Am confused, how do I go about get a social security number? Do I have to apply for this seperately or does my green card fee covers all this...... I just migrated on IR visa 2 weeks back.

  5. They need to get in touch with family or friends and raise an affidavit of support . Waiting till this late in the game is cutting it pretty close ... DV visas have a "stand by" list because the US govt is very much aware that not all winners will meet the requirements. Your friend stands to loose this slot with the way things are going unless they can turn this around asap.

Yes I agree with you that they are on the verge of loosing the slot.... just hope something postive comes their way + this is summer and fares are really expensive.

  6. If the primary winner can get to the US then they will get the green card. Not sure what happens to the rest of the family they may need a new petition as family of LPR and wait the 2 + years Otherwise they are out of luck and Nigeria no longer is a country that can enter future lotteries.

This can be another avenue if they cant come up with the required money to board the whole family. Thanks for your input.

Each visa holder must enter before expiry. If there are any family members (not sure if there are, OP did not mention this) and they do not enter, their visas expire and as you say the principal - if he has entered and got his green card - then needs to petition for them under the usual process. If the principal enters alone only he gets the green card.

Thanks SussieQQQ, its for a family of 3.
  7. Visa approved today.......

This was the easiest part of the journey! The CO didnt even ask for any of the supporting documents I went with and I was approved.

    Questions:

*How long have your wife been in the USA

    *How did she migrate

*How long have you known her

*How many times has she visited since she has been in the US

#I also responded to d question that ive vited twice as well.

She immediately said they will be needing my police report because NVC didnt send any to Lagos Embassy but I told her I already sent it to NVC and I have the photocopy with me but she later saw it on her desk and said ive been approved without seeing any of the documents with me.

  8. 10 days to my interview and am confused..... am the beneficiary and I discovered in my interview letter am asked to come along with petitioner's marriage certificate and petitioner's birth certificate.

The marriage certificate should be the same as what was sent to NVC so I will be attending the interview with a photocopy of it since the embassy is with the original but for the birth certifacte my wife only have a birth certificate that was issues by her church and she said that was the same certifcate she presented before migrating to the US 6 years ago... just wondering if this will be accepted or do we have to obtain another copy from the government?

  9. I hav my interview on July. 17 in Lagos what d likely Questions? Cos. I. Can't wait to see My wife soon now ! I wish myself Gud lucks n suceSsful interview approved ! Amen !I need useful exprience to get my. Self prepared thx U all

We will be interviewed the same day..... goodluck to us.

  10. As with any tragic news story, whenever I hear about something happening in the world, I immediately wonder if one of my fellow I-130 peeps are affected. I just heard about the explosion in Abuja. If anyone here has their spouse in Nigeria, I hope they are safe and okay.

Thanks bdrew612 for your concern, the regular explosion thing has become a big menace to the residents of northern Nigeria and we can only hope for change. The abducted girls are still with the same bad guys responsible for 99.9% of the blast in Nigerian.
