Hey guys,

So I sent my ROC papers in August and trust me we had enough documents and prove. I didn't get any RFEs or anything but was called for an interview. I thought it was weird because we sent enough prove etc.

My interview date is March 23d, which is tomorrow. I just got a call from the officer's assistant saying that my interview was cancelled and the officer is going to review the case without the interview. I asked if it was a good or bad thing, and he said it happens a lot and it might be good since I don't have to have an interview.

He told me that I'll be receiving a letter with further instructions. He didn't say if I'm going to get approved, or get RFE or get called for a new interview.

Did that happen to anyone before?

If you didn't get an RFE, you may just be one of those who get randomly picked to fill their interview quota. I really wouldn't worry too much. Good luck - let us know how it went.

I don't know why am I so unlucky, but I just got a letter saying that we have to come for the interview on March 23d. I honestly don't know why. I sent so many different documents and pictures and all.

I filed on May 28. and got my biometrics appointment early in june and got it done on June 29.

but the case status check online it still says,

On May 28, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 27, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Should I be worried that its not updating?

Does this mean that they didnt get my biometrics? or does this status really not change? Is the next step just a notification of approval/denial? Or should I be seeing something on the online case status that says the biometrics has been received or something?

They don't update it. Next update you will get when they issue the card/approve your case

Looks like California Center is approving May filers right now. So we are going to be approved around January?

Ugh so long. They used to be so fast (3-4 months).

In general, how long does it take to get approval after biometric done?

i would say 2 to 5 months

Can somebody update us? We finally got the biometrics letter.... October 14th. We will try to do it early, however.

OMG finally!!! Congrats guys. Try to do early bio, don't go there early though, go around 2pm (check what time they are open), they have way less people around that time. Also make up some story that you are flying somewhere so you need to do it early.

we submitted I751 and I got my appt for my finger prints on july 2015. I got a new job and they are asking me for a new residency card; can I just provided the extension letter? or am I going to received a temp card?

show them your first GC and the letter. there is no temporary card

Anyone's status changed from Received to Initial Review?

I don't think there would be any changes until they approve the case.

Hi there! So I went ahead and completed my biometrics early (09/23), because I'm not going to be available on the date they scheduled me for.

I went there around 10.30 am, but there were like 50 people already waiting. I explained the guard my situation and he sent me to some sort of a manager. He told me to come back between 1pm and 2pm when it's not that busy. Came back at 1pm, took me only 10 minutes to complete the appointment. Yay!

We had the most incompetent person this morning. She told us to just wait for the notice, so I asked her if we should wait indefinitely or what? She referred me to see the wait-times on the website. We had to confirm and re-confirm that we were waiting over 30 days already and that other people we knew had gotten their biometrics letter within 2 weeks. She then put me on hold and came back on saying she would put in a service request and that if we were not contacted in 15 days to try back. No mention of re-sending the Biometrics letter.... I'm thinking we will call again next Monday when hubby is off of work.

We finally received the biometrics appointment after calling to USCIS. It's on 09/28! Omg I'm so relieved.

We had the most incompetent person this morning. She told us to just wait for the notice, so I asked her if we should wait indefinitely or what? She referred me to see the wait-times on the website. We had to confirm and re-confirm that we were waiting over 30 days already and that other people we knew had gotten their biometrics letter within 2 weeks. She then put me on hold and came back on saying she would put in a service request and that if we were not contacted in 15 days to try back. No mention of re-sending the Biometrics letter.... I'm thinking we will call again next Monday when hubby is off of work.

It's basically exactly what they told me. I asked if during these 2 weeks I should get my biometrics, she said yes. Good luck ^) Keep me updates

That's what they told us, too..... So frustrating.....

Hey guys. SO I called them again and they made a request to resend me the biometrics appointment. The lady on the phone said it should be here before October, 1st.

I'm super upset, because if I receive it in 2 weeks, then the biometrics will be in two-three more and that would be 2 month since filing the case... all waiting for nothing

I called USCIS they told me if I don't get my biometrics by 17th (I received my NOA on the 17th of August) then call them back and they will start "an investigation". I checked my mail box 10 minutes ago - nothing

People who sent ROC after me already got their biometrics..I'm still waiting. Getting nervous

It took some people only 2 weeks. It's been 3 weeks for me and nothing yet

Nobody is getting biometrics dates anymore. I saw people getting the letter pretty fast, within 2 weeks from filing ROC. It's been 3 weeks for me and nothing
