  1. I understood from the link that its not interested to mention the immigration status in the resume, but i have read somewhere that its interesting to show you are legally authorized to work , to have training or to volunteer in USA , ??!!!!

my whole professional experience are in my home country in one city , interested to know if i can added my legal status in USA, in my resume , because some they may don't be interested just to think i m not legal resident

  2. The GC expires on the date it is issued. Your POE date is not relevant. In this case the CBP may not have changed the stamp. My guess is that your file was processed the next day. I would not worry about it. Both the resident since and the expirationdate are the same, only the stamp in you passport is different and who will see that?

    Dave

Thank you daveand roza , i worried , now im ok, since both resident since and expiration date are the same in my green card , i thought there is mistake or something ,

Your green card has your expiration. If you never got it the date in passport would be the date. You always go by date on your card.

yes my green card has the expiration date , wich is the same like my port of entry 07 feb * 07 feb ,

  3. Hi everybody, i have read somewhere yesterday somebody asking the same question not sure where can i find the question and the answers.

i have received last friday my CR1 permanent resident card , with the following information: surname, given name , ....

resident since : the 07th february 2014 wich is my port of entry date , and the expiration date: 07 february 2016

my question is : wich expiration green card date is correct? 07 february 2016 as expiration date on my green card , or 06th february 2016 on my admission passport stamp?

do you think i need to contact USCIS, because the dates are not the same? it seems like there is just day or 2 off , not sure if i should worry or not

    help me please '

Your assistance in this matter is very much appreciated

  4. Hi,

Since i came to USA , 1 month ago, i ate meat and chicken as needed , no pork for sure , forgetting how they slaughter them, as quick as my friend in my home country he reminded me about the way how the HALAL meat should be slaughter, i stopped eating the meat and the chicken (20 days ago), i eat just fish and vegetables waiting to find a Halal place, i did found one islamic store in the city where i live, the -halal- chicken was not fresh (not like in the big supermarket) mixed with non halal chicken in the same queue , no body was there buying any halal meat or any chicken ,i asked the Meat seller where they slaugh the meat and the chicken , he told me they have butchery somewhere, i would like from where you Muslims you buy Halal meat and chicken? is this islamic stores with halal meat and chicken are Trusted ?

    what about chicken ?

it is permissible to eat meat from the People of the Book (Ahl-e-Kitaab), i.e. the Jews and Christians

do you eat chicken at McDonalds and other such places in the USA?

    Thanks

you can find halal meat in costco

  5. That way as well, your choice.

I think most people they just pick a plan online ,and they apply, without going through the same situation like mine, yesterday we received a message on the account asking to verify my status , after the call we made , they edited the status , and today they asked for the income information , bank statement, or pay check stubs or SSI for me and for my husband , we have not applied to any plan yet, since we receive important news from time to time, we have a choice to apply for one of the plans they have in the system , or to withdraw the application and apply directly to the affordable health insurance in another website ,

  6. Hi VJ family,i have a question , i appreciate your help.

Have you applied for health insurance ?

Have you applied online?over the phone ? or in person, in some local organisation ?

I and my husband we liked 1 plan among the plans they have online, we didn't applied online, we needed some assistance in some local organisation, before we apply online , we went to the available organisation , the agent created an account for us, he needed to answer some required questions concerning my status , he needed the green card number which i still have not received yet, he entered just incorrect numbers! , incorrect expiration date for my residence !ect,,,, he said when i receive the green card i can mail it to covered California, fax it ,...ans he said i can edit the information anytime i want , yesterday when i log in the account i couldn't edit any of these incorrect information, i got a message telling im eligible for this insurance and that i have 90 days to send the proof of my status ,

have you went through the same thing ?, have you faxed any green card to covered California ?

we were told by the agent that we can't apply now over the insurance website we already picked, even before we talked to any agent, but we need to continue the application in covered California account and pick one of the limited plans they shows us,

i need some clarification about this subject

    Big Thanks

  7. Have you ever thought that maybe it's you and the relationship is just fine? You seem a little needy to me, I don't really understand people coming onto the internet talking about canceling a visa especially when it only benefits you. You should be the last person concerned about canceling it, if you don't want to go you don't have to.

    you re wrong dear

you should understand that people are different ,
i got married to live the good sense of marriage meaning, nd have kids .marriage first, then visa, im going through different troubles in my marriage, so if there in no solutions there is no travel, who is the number one in your opinion concerned to cancel the visa application or postpone any interview? the petitioner? have a little courage to do that
  8. nope and it is doubtful they would ask why. your goal is just to let them know you can not make your scheduled interview and that you will need to reschedule for a future date. you don't have the date that you would like today and can they let you know how to schedule a date when you are ready to do so. also ask how long you have to reschedule your interview, as in how long is your extension valid for.

I have read somewhere that you if you do pick a date to reschedule and cancel again, you may be subject to another fee, which is the reason to see if they can give you an extension and reschedule later

thank you so much for your effort to answer my questions,

    may god help you

if anybody has something to tell me, any advice, any similar situation, i would like to hear from you

  9. Email the embassy and tell them you'd like to postpone the interview for couple of months. The Embassy will hold your petition there for one (1) year so mark you calendar - if you do not reschedule your interview within a year they will ship it back to NVC.

Email IVCasablanca@state.gov and put your Casablanca case number in the subject line alongside words REQUEST INTERVIEW POSTPONEMENT

Then in the body of the email provide your and petitioner info: full names and dates of birth. Also explain that you'd like to postpone your interview for a later time.

You don't have to be specific when you want the interview to be.

Good luck and I hope you sort this out with your husband.

do you have sample letter / example?
anybody have any model to follow?
  10. If you think the issues are fixable, then instead of cancellation, I suggest you ask for future interview date, instead of outright cancellation.

IF you feel the issues are not fixable, then it makes more sense to cancel your visa application with the consulate.

thank you, we need to talk in person first, if i postpone do i have to indicate the reasons why i want to postpone?
like 'steve be' he said and 'milimilo' i will have 4 months to schedule an interview with the embassy
  11. Sorry to hear that but that's a very difficult decision to make. Think twice before making this decision because if you do what you are planing now and things gets better between you and him, then it will be harder to put things where they were at this point. Usually couple have problems especially if distancia is involved. So if in your mind you think that you want to be with him and work things out, then I woudn't do it. Just wait until he makes this decison if he doesn't stops the case then don't do it. Now you are making this decision because a lot feelings are going through your mind but when things calm down, believe you will think different. In my opinion, I would wait. Sorry if my opionion differs from everybody else. Hope you make the right decision.

thank you, im thinking right now, before doing anything,he hurted me a lot nd i have forgived him a lotof times , but we re human nd one day we explore i'm living th day tody

thank you for help, your help is much appreciated, dont i need to explain in my email why i need to postpon my interview , i think i just have 4 months not 1 year to have new interview appointment then the validity 6 months after the interviw? until i find a solutions 'if any' to my troubles and later who will schedule new interview date me or the embassy

  13. you can postpone your interview by emailing the consulate.. you could also call, but the email will give you the written proof. the embassy in general can give you extensions on your open application/petition .. usually up to 4 months.

you can do a few things.

    1. outright cancel which will have a detrimental effect if you decide to get back with your spouse and continue.. you would have to start almost from the beginning.. I am not exactly sure how this work if the applicant cancels their visa app, but the petitioner leaves their petition live in the system. either way it would definitely add time.

    2. reschedule your interview

    3. forget to bring your medicals to the interview and receive a 221g request for additional documents, giving you more time to think.

    4. go to the interview, get the visa stamp and use the 6 month validity to think it over.

can i still have time to reschedule my interview?
