Did your fiancé get her visa?
-
Yes you can just send your tax transscripts. That is all we sent and it was not an issue during the interview. Your tax transcripts are proof that you have filed taxes.
-
Yes it is. They tried to charge us around 3000 B when I went with my fiance to get and then she laid into him and I think she ended up paying around 300 B and she could pick up in around 10 days. I learned that day I never want to make her mad...
-
She needs money...............Lol
Thats a good question though. As I "recall" she just went in and told them she needed to pay the K-1 visa fee, and handed over the cash. They gave her a receipt. The only number I can think yo umay need is the BNK number. Long probably has a more recent memory.
Sorry, she needs nothing. She just needs to let them know that she is paying for a K1 visa. Its a pink form and has 4 boxes for the various visa types on top. Make sure she she checks box (3) K visas. If you want I can send you a copy of the receipt that we got.
-
Yes you will send in the confirmation page of the DS-160 with Packet 3. She will will pay the visa fee at the Thai Post and send in a copy of the receipt that she gets from the Thai Post that show the K1 visa fee was paid with Packet 3 and she will need to bring the original receipt with her to the interview. .
-
Yes you can send now. Just note that she will bring in the police certificate when she comes in for the interview.

The medical is in English already. The documents will be sealed. She will not have access to them. Jin's immunization form was in English as well.
Just translate the birth certificate and marital status. (if she has kids, get the birth certificate translated now even if they are not immigrating together) You can wait of course until you file the AOS. It's just cheaper and easier in Thailand.
As slowlyman stated if she has kids make sure the father has signed a letter of no objection. Here is a link from the embassy website in English and Thai.

USCIS will send to the NVC. The letter your fiancé got in the mail should be your NOA2. Give it 2 weeks and start calling the NVC and Department of State about case number. NVC will send to embassy

I would wait till you have your tax transcripts before you send her Packet 3. That way you can double check everything. As you stated the I-134 is very important.
If you are sending tax transcripts you do not need to send W2's.
If you do online banking you can print the main page that shows your savings, checking, mortgage, and IRA so it's all on a single page. My fiancé just had her interview 6 November at the Bangkok embassy and that's what I submitted. I printed the main page from my bank account that showed my savings, checking, mortgage, and IRA. We also submitted my tax transcripts for 3 years, and my last 2 months of pay stubs that's shows year to date earnings along with bi-weekly salary.
Just FYI during the interview the embassy wanted to see many picture of us together even though we lived together 6 month in Singapore and had both our names on a lease for an apartment. Also make sure your fiancé has either originals documents or certified copies from the Thai Government office. This is very important.
-
Yes you can. Just note that she will bring the medical and police cert at the time of the interview. You will use the BNK2013XXXXXX. Congrats.
-
If they took her passport and didn't give her a 221g then she is approved. She will have her visa in her passport when she picks it up Friday. Congrats!!!!!
-
Make sure you send him a spare signed copy with original signature. USCIS lost mine and luckily I had my fiancé sign 2 while I was there so it was no problem when I got a RFE. I was able to put it back in the mail that evening and not having to wait.
I would would send two (2) set of everything that you have to sign cause there are at times that USICS loses something.
-
Good luck and if you have any questions send me a message. I can send you a copy of the letter that I sent them.

I'm not counting on Dec, just hoping. I have all of the packet 3 items finished, just waiting for the case number and email from the embassy to send it in.
Thanks for the advice.
Don't wait for the email. Once you see that your case status has changed to ready send Packet 3. Then once you get the packet 4 email you can send the embassy an email asking for stand by. I sent an email last week and was able to take a canceled slot. Here is the thread I started.

Me and my fiance are extremely happy right now. Once again THANKS Steve for the advise!!!!!!

Thank you for contacting us.
Please be informed that the interview slot has currently reached the maximum availability. However, if there happens to be any earlier interview appointment canceled/ rescheduled, we will be in contact with you to move up the appointment.

Just to be clear, long meant to say Karee not Karen. Karee has probably gone by many names but I don't think Karen was one of them. I just love the name Karee because he worked hard to earn it.
Yes Ning correct...dang iPad auto correct!!!!!

Thanks. Sorry I should of asked the age. But yes have her do her medical and police certificate now. The police cert for us took a few weeks. Also once you get your case number you can track it here:
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==
It will show when it leaves the NVC and when it arrives at the embassy. I would send her your I-134 and documents now so she has them and have her download Packet 3 for the embassy website. That way you and her can go over the packet before she sends it in.
I ended up assembling our Packet 3 with a cover letter and sent it to her to have her sign the DS-2001 and updated letter of intent from me and her. We FaceTime all the time so it helped her on the DS-160 which wasn't to hard. I also sent her 2 copies of everything that I had to sign just encase something was miss placed or lost. Once the embassy received our case she sent Packet 3 by EMS. Do not wait for the embassy to send you a letter or email. Once u know that your case has been received send Packet 3.
I have gotten some really good advise from Ning, slowly man, and Karen on here. They have helped me out a lot. If you have any more question ask. Once again congrats!!!!

Your gonna have to wait for the case number.
If you were processed through CSC Center, the wait is running long.
If you were processed through TSC Center, you should have your case number already.
This is incorrect. My fiancé went and got her COC in Thailand and Singapore with just the NOA2 along with her medical in Bangkok with no issues.
Please if you don't have experience in the stated county do not give advise that is not correct....

She can go do both now. Also make sure she has a court order granting her sole custody of the child or have the father sign a letter stating he has no objection of the child migrating to the US with her. She will also need a copy of his IC card and house book. Here is a link for the embassy website that gives a sample.
