  1. i got my non-o in 2006 so it makes sense that the price is up, looks like tourist visa went up also (it was 25$ per entry last year). having a thai spouse must make it much easier to get a non-o, i got mine for doing volunteer work and needed to provide lots of documents. my first application was denied at chicago and the i applied in denver (now closed i think) and got approved for multi non-0. i did manage to stretch it to 16 months like others said.

If you can get a non-o from oregon (be advised most thai embassys and consulates state side will reject you for non-o without heaps of documents and you lose your money) that easily it may be a good option. It does cost 125$ for the non-o multiple entry visa (dont know the cost of single entry) and after 3 months you have to border hop anyways. So if all you need is 3 months a touist visa is great (total cost around 85$ with extension). Or if you need 4 months just do one month on arrival and then a trip to Loas. I like to go to Loas as a vacation within a vacation when i visit thailand, its great fun there!
