for me fedex was 64$ and arrived in 3 days

i separated my photos into 2 section

primary- photos of us together about 20 pictures

secondary- photos of us with the others family and separate photos of us at the same location just in case they wanna see more

one way tickets are expensive, check multiple airports, even small ones near you

i got my non-o in 2006 so it makes sense that the price is up, looks like tourist visa went up also (it was 25$ per entry last year). having a thai spouse must make it much easier to get a non-o, i got mine for doing volunteer work and needed to provide lots of documents. my first application was denied at chicago and the i applied in denver (now closed i think) and got approved for multi non-0. i did manage to stretch it to 16 months like others said.

so the only copy of her proof of birth (no birth certificate) is in the hands of the us embassy BKK... maybe i should extend my vacation a little bit and go to burma after my girlfriends thai visa expires on 21 jan, then she could get additional copies...

I like to fly eau claire to chicago and then take korean air to bkk. she would really like me to fly over to pick her up, then she could take 4 suit cases also, so i might do a after chistmas fly over and then fly back when her thai visa expires on the 21st of jan. it would be my first winter in WI in the last 10 years.

If you can get a non-o from oregon (be advised most thai embassys and consulates state side will reject you for non-o without heaps of documents and you lose your money) that easily it may be a good option. It does cost 125$ for the non-o multiple entry visa (dont know the cost of single entry) and after 3 months you have to border hop anyways. So if all you need is 3 months a touist visa is great (total cost around 85$ with extension). Or if you need 4 months just do one month on arrival and then a trip to Loas. I like to go to Loas as a vacation within a vacation when i visit thailand, its great fun there!

starting to worry, it has been 12 days since packet 3 submission and still no answer. I also sent originals like requested in packet 3 so if it is lost trying to reaquire proof of birth without birth certificate from Burma would take so much time (and $) that my application would expire...

We sent in our Packet 3 on 8/15/12 and got an interview date of 8/27/12 which they changed to the following day, 8/28/12. Good luck!

how many days after you sent in packet 3 until you got an answer from them?

corruption, if you want to pay the 100 baht fee only they will tell you it takes over a month to get it

my girlfriend just showed the thai post that same document and paid the 7,440, the workers seemed to think it was up to date, but who knows
