I did do the tracking number and they have received it. We called them but as usual told us nothing. They informed us to do a walk in.

I have done some searching in reference to this issue but could not find the answer I was looking for.

So quick question. I just received my Biometrics appointment letter on the 23rd of May, however the date they had us down for 31st of May is bad for us and we are not able to make it. On the 24th of May I sent the letter back to USCIS to have them reschedule. I still have not received the letter with the new date and was wondering if I should be calling in to see what's going on or should I give it another week or so to verify they in fact did receive my letter requesting to have my biometrics re-scheduled?

Would you mind sharing when your packet was delivered and when your check cashed/NOA1 arrived? Apologies I don't think I previously saw it.

Packet sent 9 April, check cashed 4 May and NOA1 delivered 6 May

My info:

Sent on 4/8, Arrived 4/11, Check cashed 5/5, NOA1 received 5/6 dated 4/12.

Inputting the receipt number into the case status tool shows nothing.

I have been told that the first case number is pretty much worthless on the status check, you have to wait until you get your biometric apt letter and that is the case number that you can start checking your status online

Thanks everyone, only reason I was asking is I see quite a few people having their checks being cashed within a week. But I will sit back and enjoy the wait.

I filed to remove conditions on the 9th of April and they have still not cashed our checks. I know the Vermont center is probably the slowest out there but is there anything we should be worrying about?

But you can avoid the RFE altogether. Don't wait for it. When you receive the NOA, read it thoroughly, and then send the W2s. If you do that, there's no RFE and no delay in your case.

The transcripts should be enough, unless your case is complicated. If you had only sent the tax returns (not transcripts), without the W2s, then you would need to send the W2s. You will see that the NOA you receive gives you an additional opportunity to submit evidence. Then is when the W2s would have been submitted and an RFE would be avoided altogether.

It's for removing conditions.. We sent one tax transcript and one copy of our taxes (1040) So I am guessing that we will get an RFE for the W2.

So I have a quick question. I just filed 2 weeks ago and I did not include our W2's. I did include tax transcripts for the past 2 years. How many of you all have had an RFE for not including the W2's in your packet?

I am getting ready to fill out my I-751. In Part 7 and Part 8 under the "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center" Should we signed there or just print our name?

I was also curious if most people sent in photos along with the other documents?

So I am looking for some great information on traveling while in the process of ROC. From what I have read USCIS gives you a 1 year extension letter as most of the time it takes them longer than 3 months to process the case from the day they receive your packet at D-90 days prior to the original green card expiration date.

So to my question is, has anyone had an issues traveling at lets say D+60 past their expiration date to another country. I am thinking that the only problem we could encounter is if the interview date was during our travel date and if so would we be able to change the interview date?

Any help would be great and always appreciate the help here on the VisaJourney.

You have nothing to worry about your I-94 being expired. Just send those documents back with the check and all will be good.

Just to second that, your packet will get sent back to you. Without the payment, they will not "accept" your AOS.

I would call your local congressman/lady. You will need a copy of the offer letter stating you need to be working by XX date or else you will lose the job opportunity. You can click on the following link to find your local rep: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

K1 is 1,070. I would write one single check. I believe there has been instances where people have split up 2 money orders. As far as K2, I am sure someone else will chime in.
