  1. Based on my research I did meet the guideline, if you look at the poverty level in Illinois, it's less than $14K, so I gotta make little bit less than $30K, and I do. I don't know what you mean by shaky, but nobody told me that the CO or anybody else would make a final decision. When I called NVC to inquire about my case the operator told me that it's been reviewed, and all they need to do is set up an interview date, which they did few days later. That is all what they told me, and when I called NVC yesterday to inquire about this checklist, the operator told me just send my wife I-864EZ form filled out and signed, nothing else, no W2 or tax transcripts.

  2. OK, First I got a P4 letter, and in that letter it tells you what documents to bring. One thing that I didn't understand was where it said financial evidence, etc. That's when I posted a question here if anybody knows what that could be. Yesterday I got a checklist from NVC saying that I have to fill out again I-864ez, and that the name on w-2 doesn't match the name of the sponsor ( which is weird because my name is the same and I know what I sent).

So, I called NVC to ask them what is going on, the operator told me that I have to fill out the I-864ez and send it to my wife so that she could bring it with her during her interview.

I jut wanted to know if this is something common for the beneficiaries to bring petitioner's AOS (or any other) documents after the approval/review at NVC???

    Is it clear now?

  3. guys, I got my interview on January 15, '14, and in the P4, it mentions which doc's to bring, nonetheless, what I am having difficulty with is the following:

F-Financial Evidence Code -> I. This form is incomplete. You must present a completed form at your interview.

I filled out I-864EZ, and the checklist I received was because address field was left blank, which I sent back and the case was reviewed, I am way above the poverty line, so not sure about this one. Should I send my wife (beneficiary) my tax transcripts, or W-2, or something of that nature???????????

    any ideas

  4. Question about I864-EZ leaving blank or N/As... for my understanding anything that is not for me i would leave blank but since i read about getting checklists for any blank fields i want to make sure i am not leaving anything blank. so most of the questions i have are about empty fields.

    14. Citizenship /Residency

    i am a US citizen

i am a lawfull perminent resident. my alien registeration number is A- ___

i checked usc obviously but for A number for the second one should i write N/A? even when i check USC?

same thing for part 5. sponsor's income and employment

i entered information in section a. Empolyed as an ____

for b. retired since___ and name of former employer___ should i put N/A or leave it blank?

for number 19. federal income tax information.

i checked both option... for tax year 2010 (3rd most recent) I was listed dependent in my dad's tax return so I wrote 0.00 in total income. is that ok?

for preparer information section should i put N/A N/A in all fields? or leave it blank?

I left some fields blank and got a checklist because of that. If I remember correctly I left more than 1 field blank but received a checklist ONLY for part 3, where it asks for residing address if different than mailing address. When I called NVC the guy over the phone told me that I have to fill it out, i.e. put in my address again, but some people here only put N/A and they said they had success.

When you deal with government it's really hard to tell you what to do/follow, especially with these IV forms.

All I can tell you is that I filled out I-864EZ and in Part 3, FOLLOWED, their instructions and received a checklist, so good luck

  5. No, your case is only complete once all 3 things have been accepted (AOS package, IV package, DS-260). I'm telling you to ask if the DS-260 was accepted because that's what the false checklist is based off. If they say it's been accepted, then 1 out of the 3 things have been accepted, then you'll only have 2 things left.

But, you may not get any false checklists for the two other items, so you need to call them and ASK. This is the fastest way to know if things have been accepted or not. So, when you call, ask them three things:

    -Has my DS-260 been approved?

-Has my AOS checklist response been approved?

-Has my IV package been approved?

Only once all three above questions are 'yes' will you have a case complete.

Saylin, I asked them those 3 Q's, anD the agent told me that they have REVIEWED DS-260, and the IV but not the AOS, that is because I had to mail the I-864ez again which they received on 11/12, so only that hasn't been reviewed, As far as approval goes, I was told that at the consulate/embassy is such a thing done not here at NVC they only review the doc's.
