Hi everyone . we mailed our AOS package on 28th October 2015 , received biometrics appointment for December but sent it back and asked for a january date as we was leaving for UK for holidays before then.

They amended the date until we got back no problem. Had my biometrics done today. Now its just a waiting game i guess.

One thing i cant seem to do is check my case online - not sure why as i have been putting in the nuber that begins with WAC and nothing it keeps saying i have wrong number.

What other number am i surposed to put in when it asks me for my number please anyone know ?

Don't just check for CR1. Check for the EXPIRATION date.

The issue wasn't the CR1 or IR1 designation but rather that people had a 10 year expiration when should have only had a 2 year expiration.

Yes mine had 2016 on it for expiration

do you think its ok because in my port of entry stamp , they noted CR1 Feb 1, 2016 and in my green card expiration date is : Feb 2, 2016 , day +

Just checked USCIS site today and GC was picked up by USPS yesterday (March 11th). Tracking number was provided as well. Expected delivery tomorrow.

ELIS is still showing Optimized though. Maybe it will change today.

Sara82, you should checked yours as well since we both got 'optimized' on Mar 6th.

And make sure it is the CR-1 - and not the IR-1. Otherwise, more paperwork and more waiting, and who would want that!

It says CR-1 on it thank you for that though.

UPDATE - Green card arrived in post today.

It went to OPTIMIZED on 5th and mailed on 10th sara82. So 5 days

Yayyyyy. just checked on Elis and it says CLOSED.

Went onto USCIS to check case status and it says Card produced and mailed on march 10th 2014 . Yayyyy im expecting it in the post in a day or two. Will update when it arrives.

However i have received NO emails about this... i repeat i have received NO emails concerning this or to track it.

Sorry been out of the loop. This has been a difficult journey. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a second checklist to be processed? Is it the same 20 days? I had a few missing information on the I-864 document. They sent it to me yesterday at 4pm and I sent it back at 6pm. What can I do to get it processed quicker? Thank you so much everyone...

I thought it was 30 days , but anyway it stil takes the same length as the first one - i had 3 checklists - that toook up another 3 months of waiting !!! Good Luck on your case.

Well my Elis has been in OPTIMISED process for 5 days now - Waiting patiently for it to go to closed and card produced !!!

Date of entry = 27th Jan.

Just checked my elis and today it has gone to optimized YAYYYYYY.

I already got my SS# saturday just gone.

Waiting for GC now yipeeee.

Just dont know how long the wait will be but will update when it arrives.

Hey, don't rely on them to send you the SSN.

I also waited for 3 weeks then I went to local SSN Office (Chicago), waited there almost 3 hours waiting for my token # to be announced, and then the officer lady told me that NVC has not forwarded them my SSN request yet, and usually they dont, that's why she is getting many cases like me who wait for 3 weeks and then go for the inquiry. After that she asked me to file a new appication form right then and there and after that I got my SSN within 2 weeks at my address.

So dont waste time in waiting for them to send you SSN, I would suggest go to the nearest SSN office very next day once you land in US. And dont throw away the address stub which comes along with the SSN card, it serves as an address proof for approx 90 days, I used it to open my bank account as well as to get my Illinois State ID Card.

CASE COMPLETE. You just have to wait now for your Interview letter and sorry i don't know when that will be .

@ justoleme, did you started the I130 petition with your married name or maiden name?

Married name - but somehow they kept using my maiden name UNTIL I sent them a copy of my passport with my NEW MARRIED name.

This was sent before CC to them because i was concerned they had names wrong.

However from then on it was all under my married name.

You have CC - Go ahead and book this medical, there is usually a 2 week wait to get in at the London Doctors for the medical.

I had my Medical before i received my Interview letter from NVC.

I would like to advise if you do have the Medical in London before you receive the Interview letter that the day you have the medical is day one of the 6 months you

have before you enter the USA.

So if in by any chance the Interview letter is not through within 6 months then you would have to take a medical again.

I myself had 6 weeks left to enter the USA after the day of my Interview in London.

Hope someone can help with my query.

my partner's case is complete with the NVC and we await the Interview Letter, however, I was just checking on CEAC and there seems to be an error on the site, so cannot get an update. Additional checks on London's US Embassy site (where partner is to have interview) seems to imply that the embassy will not schedule interview dates until medical has been completed.

However my understanding and what is stated on the State.Gov website for the visa process, states that NVC will work with embassy to schedule and interview, once letter received, you must complete medical before interview date.

The latter is my expectation, please someone tell me I'm getting confused and all we need to do is wait for the Interview Letter and not schedule a medical before we can even get a letter?

So you did fill the elis form online with your maiden name and have you received your green card yet?

To me it seems the online form will be used for the green card printing and it will require extra time and money to change name from maiden to husband. That's not good.

I filled the Elis form in in my married name - still waiting for my SS# and my green card.

However after 3 weeks we can go to get a SS# at the SS Office. So this week we are off to do just that.

Yep i hope too, that's why we need someone who's been through point of entry recently to answer if they still give the form.

I came through LAX Jan 27th.

I didn't have to fill any form in at POE. they took my finger prints i signed something and that was it.
