What would be best to do now ?

To wait 45 days and hope that everything will be fine and I will receive GC , or to schedule infopass in local office .

It's ridiculous situation ..... we did everything we supposed to do , and ...... 45 days again ????

I am so frustrated , and do not know what to do now .

Situation .

I had interview on GC on January-12 , approved , I received approval notice from immigration officer with whom we had interview , also she put stamp in my passport.

on January -14 we moved ( because of new job of my husband to another state ) ,changed on-line address on the US CIS site , sent tham hard copy of that document, sent changing of address sponsor , so we did verything that required , than I received by e-mail notification , that petition I-485 approved , and e-mail that card production orederd on January 21.

Guess what ? Green card has been sent to my old address , and post office returned documents back to US CIS as we do not have any longer that address.

I called to US CIS yesterday and they said that besides changing address on-line ( though it said on the site ) I had to call them and change verbally (???) so , they changed address when I called , wuestion what's happened with on-line changes and I need to wait now up to 45 days untill they send me GC to the new address.

QUESTION . I had just verbal communication and confirmation ( verbal ) that address changed in teh system , Do I need to wait now untill March -20 ? Or I need to schedule . Let say how can I be sure that they will not aqrue up again ?????

WHAT SHALL I DO NOW ? ANY ADVISES , IDEAS ???????

I am frustrated as from one side it's a good news , but from another I do not know how to deal with immigrations in that case .

We are going to change apartment we live now to house in the same city but locatted in the another district , and looks like it will happen right before or after interview .

Does somebody know , what shall we do , and how to inform immigration regarding changing of address as after approved interview they usually send GC as per address stated in the petition ? How to inform them and ask to send after interview GC to another address ?

Menaxoxo , How are you ? Any positive news ? I can tell that there were no touches in my case status on-line ,Nothing ......, status is * intial review * on the site.No changes from October 01.

But I received letter today . My interview scheduled on January 12 .

Really? Do they open on Saturday??

Yes , I thought that they do not open as well , but we decided to drive there and to take a look , office was opened . Not sure about hrs , but from 09 AM till 3 PM or so , there we a lot of people but line went really fast .

Assume all other offices open as well on Saturdays .

Hey everyone,

This is my timeline. Today is 11/05/09. It's been 2 weeks since my biometric and I haven't got any letter or email from the USCIS. I checked online and it says that all my forms were last updated on 10/28/09. Should I be receiving anything soon? A work permit maybe? Thanks!

My biometrics were done on october 17 and I didn't receive anything since that time and on-line status was not updated , last touch was on 01-october , i read that from time to time on-line status updates not on time . And usually it takes 2-4 weeks before you get your work permit .

Did they take only dox you mentioned in the post ( letter from teh employer , bank statements ) or they took everything inclooding Birth certificate. marriage certificate etc ??????

I adjusted from B2 too! I don't know if IO normally takes the originals (I didn't think they would until I had my interview) but you should bring the originals as much as possible because even if IO doesn't take it, she/he might wanna take a look at it.

It's no way to issue / have several originals of Birth certificates . I have only one that has been issued after I was born 30+ years ago , its possible to request a copy in case original lost , but this is nightmare to do and takes a while especially if I do not live in the place of Birth anymore , but usually it's ONE document , as the same as passport .

One passport , one original of Birth certificate , one original of divorce decree etc .....

Completelly frustrated.

Dear all , who had interview , please !!!! Do IO usually take original of documents ? or translated and notarised copies are OK ? We sent to US CIS translated and notarized copies of all documents .

I have originals but I can not give it to them for their files.

Is it a normal practice ???? that on the interview IO take originals of documents ? just getting scared , as I really need to have my Birth Certificate on hands !!

No kidding guys,

INTERVIEW LETTER ARRIVED....

I got a touch on my I-131 this morning, went to check the mail box and boom! Found the unexpected interview letter. I guess i am getting a birthday gift as the interview falls right on my birthday...Meanwhile, no touchs on the I-485 or the I-130 yet..Let the document gathering begin yee pee! As many as are still waiting on their letters or approval for any of the forms filled, just hold on to your faith, be calm and you deffinately will get it...

The same situation , no touches I-485, I-130 , they are still in the status acceptance ...... looks like I should not worry to much ???? as USCIS internet service simply too slow and not updates anything on time .

I received the letter with biometric appointment scheduled for October 23 , but after I read that a lot of people done biometrics by walk-inn we decided to take a chance and to try walk -in today .

It was crowded place today , we came ard 13-00 , but line went really fast . It took us about 45 minutes for everything . Nobody said even a word , so it went really well and fast . Thanks for VJ :-)) otherwise I would never be brave enough to try to get biometrics earlier :-)
