My interview letter also mentioned proof of selective service registration. When we got to that part of the interview, my interviewer asked me how old I am (I'm over 31) and then said something like, "So this doesn't apply to you" and moved on.
I found this on a law site....
if you're a man and between the ages of 18 and 25, you're legally required to register. If you're thinking about applying for citizenship, or there's a chance that you may apply some time before your 32nd birthday, you should register so that you don't jeopardize your chances of becoming a citizen.
Your 32nd birthday is critical because you have to register by the time you're 26 years old, and the USCIS will look back five years. So, if you're 31 at the time you apply and you didn't register, your application may be denied. If you're 32 years old, the USCIS will focus on your conduct from the age of 27 onward, at which age you had no obligation to register.

hey i know ))),yours is gonna be before me , and there is oath ceremonies on June 21 ,July 12 and 26 ,August 9, September 16 and so on !!!By the way in the interview letter, they did ask me to bring -1.interview letter,2.Green Card,3.International Passport and also any proof of selective service ,i don't know why they asking me selective service cause i was lawful non immigrant till i was 26,5 ,and of course i was not required to register do you have any idea how i can proof them that i was not required !!!and what about yours ,did you get the same requirements???
I've just thought.....are you Male or Female? It's only males that have to sign up for selective service, so if you're female you need not worry about that part.

They'll probably see your age wasn't in the range to sign up for selective service, so it should be ok. I have no proof, except my age at the time I entered the U.S

My letter has the same information on it. Plus it says bring originals of any documents that you submitted with your N400 application (marriage certificate, children's birth certificates, etc)
I didn't move to the U.S until I was 31 years old, so I was over the age limit for selective service.
I know about the ceremonies...I don't think we'll get the 21st (would be great if we could) but I'm guessing it'll be the July 12th one.

These are the rules for my local office in WA state. I guess different offices have different rules. Check with your local office for their policy.

Another day with no movement on my interview being scheduled. The wait is killer! Come on, New York!

I got a text & email notification at 9 PM on 5/3/16 to say I was in line for an interview, then 30 minutes later I got another saying interview was scheduled. (I'm in WA, so I use Phoenix for my files) I know NY is really slow as I lived there for 5 years. I hated the times I had to go to the biometrics center (the people who worked there move like they have bricks in their pockets). -

My Green card date is 12/19/2005 and my check was cashed on 4/01/16. if someone would add that to my details next time they update the list.

It's been over 2 weeks since I've done my biometric. Do I have to be worried? BTW, It took them 2 weeks to process my check..
You just have to wait. I looked at the times on the chart and some people had their biometrics before yours and still don't have a "In line" message yet.

Congratulations!!! Really good news , i am out of state for couple days ,was not able to check my mail box!!! But my online status is the same . It says interview scheduled and we will send you a mail !!! What about your status ,does it changed to "we send you a mail or we will send you ,without changing . Thank you !!!

On May 3, 2016, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC******* We will mail you an interview notice.You might have your letter waiting for you! I think your interview might be a day or two before mine, that's the way our times have been from the start.

They received my package april 28 and they haven't cashed my check yet... I.m super worried my application might be rejected =(
It was 6 days after I sent my packet that the check was cashed.....wait a little longer before going crazy.

I just got a text message saying i'm in line for an interview. My green card date is 2005 if anyone wants to add it to the time line.

Generally it's a good sign and means that your checks are completed. In a few cases, checks continue after being placed inline and result in delayed interviews. In very few cases, checks continue after the interview. In all likelihood, your checks are done.
Usually (in every case I've seen in the last few years with the exception of 319b cases), you won't be placed inline more than 1 month before your green card anniversary date, Also, in the majority of cases (about 6 to 8 out of 10 times), you'll be placed inline exactly on that date (1 month before anniversary) even if your checks are done before that.
The table doesn't show your green card date, but for example if it's June 5th, then I'd expect you to be placed inline on May 5th. If you are already past that mark, then you'll be placed inline as soon as they're done with your checks.

My green card is good until 2018 (10 year card).....I've been married for 13 years this year, so thought it was about time I did citizenship. I'm in no hurry for an interview, just want my background check to be completed.

Did check online status today ,it says " in line for the interview" since april 28 ,i had my biometrics on april 25 !!! Does it mean that they already got the result of the biometric (FBI ) check ?? Or its just routine thing ??

I did sent my application on March 26 to Phoenix ,AZ got my NOA by mail on April 5th ,and still waiting for biometric !!! And i see that almost all you who sent on March got their biometric appointment!!! Why its taking so long for biometric ((

I'm in Spokane too. We're almost on the same times for our N400. I sent mine in on 3/25/16, received on 3/28/16, NOA received in mail on 4/8/16 and I received my bio-metrics appointment today 4/16/16. My appointment is for 4/26/16.
You'll probably get yours on Monday....fingers crossed!

My interview is tomorrow morning. I'm pretty excited!!
Can't believe I'm almost done dealing with USCIS.....no more address change notifications, no more biometric appointments, no more waiting for NOA's!!
