VSC has no consistency whatsoever!

Well USCIS updated their processing times yesterday. It says November 25 2007, since now I'm out of the timeframe so I called USCIS. The person that I talked to told me that the official that has my application is working on April 2008 so she was going to send him a remainder. She says that I don't have any RFE or anything. I hope this is normal. She confirmed all my info, got my email and phone number. She also said to call in 45 days if I don't receive any notification. I guess I'll keep waiting.

I had no intentions of leaving the country without either a stamp or the actual card. The question was whether or not I should continue waiting and hoping on the approval or just go get the stamp asap.

In reality, I guess I should be able to wait until November 19th which would be 3 days before my trip to go in and get a stamp, on the other hand, I could just go and get it today/tommorrow......

I just hate going down to Newark!

I'm debating whether I should go get a stamp in my passport to extend. I guess any day I could be getting approved, and I would hate to waste the trip down there in vain. There's a possibility I may be having a short trip to mexico in 4 1/2 weeks. My return would be a day after my NOA expires.

Any suggestions.

Just out of curiosity, those of you who waited a year or longer. At what point did you make the info pass appt to get a stamp in your passport. My Extension will be expiring on December 12th, should I be going to get a stamp in November or should I wait until it's expired.

I plan on leaving the country on december 20th for 2 weeks.

I wouldn't bank of Christmas, maybe January or so. I filed since December and still waiting and I think there's still a few folks before me who are still waiting.

I agree too, hopefully mine will pop up before halloween. According to the 10 month theory, I should be dancing within the next 4 weeks......wishful thinking perhaps?

I was touched the day after my biometrics.

Besides the hell I caught trying to park, it was pretty easy. My appointwent was at 12, I arrived at 11:35 and to my surprise there wasn't a line and there were only roughly 30 peope ahead of me in the waiting room. By 12:05, I was out of there. Funny thing, the lady taking my fingerprints said to me when she was finished "you'll get the card in the mail in a few weeks"

LOL, she obviouly has no clue.

VSC is running circles around CSC. We mailed Claudeth's petition on the 23rd of November and haven't heard anything and the check hasn't been cashed either.

Jasman, aren't you expecting your files to be returned? Do they still cash the check in the event of a return?

NJ accepted the extension letter. However, I believe I ws lucky and they confused it with the regular 10 year green card renewal letter. Nobody seemed to know much at that office.

Which NJ DMV did you go to?
