I recently got my F2A Visa and wanted to know if I could use Etihad Airlines Homeland Security PreClearance Service which allows people to save their time in the USA.

its not mandatory but your wife can accompany you with your interview. all she needs to bring is her US Passport and for you all the evidences and documents required. thanks

My Interview was rescheduled from 27th April to 11th May due to Islamabad Embassy's domestic issues. But thanks to the Almighty. My visa has been approved.

On 11th it was approved.

on 12th the ceac status was changed from administrative processing to ISSUED.

Hi, This is proved to be a really helpful forum for those who just have received the P4 letter....i wanna ask as i have received interview letter on 29th april 2015...should i go for medical appointment..???..i m curious bcz i heard in islamabad embassy medical instruction that medical should not be done 4 weeks prior to interview ....can u give advise to me..

That is a very valid question but I was in a similar situation when my Interview date was changed from 27th April to 11th May due to some Embassy's domestic issues.

Although I was all set with my medical and got the reports on 15th April. Which was not early as per the previous date mentioned. So you dont have to worry. Sometimes there are complication s in your medical which could jeopardize your whole interview. So be vigilant and do your Medical early as it may take a week or more for the reports to get ready.

My F2A Interview was supposed to be on 27th April 2015. Just 10 days before my Interview when I am all done with the Medical, Flight tickets ti Islamabad. I recieve an Email on Friday afternoon at 4PM that my interview has beeen rescheduled (Without any given reason) and the new date is 11th May 2014.

Has anyone else sufferred this or am I the only one alone.

My F2A Immigration Interview was scheduled for 27th April 2015. I have my medical reports in hand and Ticket to travel to Islamabad. Today I got an Email from Embassy Islamabad which says that they have changed my Interview date from 27th April 2015 to 11th May 2015.

I just want to know. Are they allowed to do that.

I just missed a call from the US Embassy Islamabad, whilst my Interview for F2A is just next week.

I called back on the land-line number and the operator said that the person who called you from the embassy will call you again.

Anyone had any such experience.

Good News Folks !! we had our interview on tuesday, approved and visa in hand by thursday afternoon (picked up in isb)...

interview turned out very basic, did not even last a minute, CO was busy on his computer and in very good mood. im guessing he had his mind made up before interview started.

This is all he asked and said your passport will be available for pickup in one week:

1. who sponsored

2. where does he work

3. how did you meet

4. yours parents alive

We did not submit originals to NVC only copies, so before the interview a staff member took the passport pics, passport, medical report, original birth certificate and urdu and english nikah namas. During the interview the CO did not ask for no documents, not even for copies of civil documents. After interview we realized the CO did not return the originals of birth cert and nikah namas. We were worried but we received the originals back along with passport and visa from the courier.

Few things to note... the shuttle fare is Rs 500 per person. the courier charged Rs 850 when we picked the passport.
