Hello,
How long it takes NVC to schedule interview at the embassy in Algiers after being documentarily qualified.
We had our case DQed in August 10, yet we are still waiting.
-
Unfortunately, I did not. I got an RFE so I just ignored it.

Hello everyone,
I applied for a K-1 visa for my fiancé back in December 2020. After that we got married in March 2021 and submitted I-130 petition on July 2021. Today I got an email from the embassy telling me that they are in receipt of my K-1 case with further details on how to proceed.
The problem is that even the I-130 petition had been accepted by NVC and only waiting for an interview to be scheduled.
I am wondering what to do?
Plz help

Just checked and ours has changed to active review today also. Not sure what happened at USCIS, but seems like the July filers just got batch processed. Of course, we can't get too excited by this yet until approved.
Is yours still showing actively reviewing?

We submitted on 6th July 2021 and went into active review on 21sr July 2021. We thought we were in Nebraska, we found out today we've been moved to California.
Looking at the processing times there it could be an outer 2 years before we hear anything. This is becoming a rela mental struggle.
We submitted ours on July 8 online. The NO1 receipt came from Nebraska but wa month ago when I talked to uscis agent I have been told our case is in Texas.

I filed my I-130 online and the NO1 receipt address shows it came from Nebraska service center. Today i Talked to a live agent through Emma and he said that my case is in Texas. Which one to believe?

Yes @Algman. Fill up I129F, attach the receipt notice of I130 and copies of the necessary docs
I am definitely going to do that. Thank you

I am in the same boat. I sent a request letter to cancel I129F for fiance. But still it says "CASE RECEIVED". After filing I130, I once again filed I129F for K3 visa. It does not cost money, I know they are not granting K3 visa, but at least it will get their attention to my I130.
Do you mean since I already filed for I-130, filing K3 is free?

Hello,
We filed for I-129f in December 2020 then we got married on March 2021. Then we filed I-130 on July 2021 and both cases still pending.
Is there anything I can do to speed to process? Is it really that our I-129f considered void?
Thank you

How do you get Emma live chat to tell you which center is your case at?
I have been trying but with no luck.
-
Any updates? I applied on July and haven't heard from them yet. My service center is Nebraska as it shows on the receipt

Hello everyone,
I am a US citizen and On December 2020, I sent an I-129F application in order to bring my fiancé to the states. On March 2021 we got married. Is it possible to amend that I-129F petition to a I-130 petition since USCIS still didn't open the case yet?
Any advice will be very appreciated.
Thank you

Hello Everyone,
I filed jointly back on October 2016 at CSC and after 5 months from filing we got a divorce and it was finalized on Mars 2017. I hired a lawyer on June 2017 and my lawyer sent a letter to USCIS along with other evidences explaining to them what happened and asking them to amend my case to a divorce waiver.
I have never heard from Immigration ever since.
Is this normal?

Anybody in here who is still waiting to hear from USCIS? Since my fingerprints were done in December 2016 ( I am an oct 2016 filer ) no word whatsoever from USCIS. No interview, no rfe, no nothing. Put in a request and got a respond that my case is put on hold due to pending security check. Contacted senator but since my background is pending there is nothing they can do. Someone said to file for writ of mandamus but that would cost me a lot of money. I have an Info Pass appointment now July 10th to get a second 551 stamp and will ask them about my case when I am there. Just wanted to see if there is anybody else whos in the same boat? There was someone who filed november 2016 who still waits for a respond but they already went to an interview and got an RFE but in my case I didn't get anything at all.
I have to say that I traveled a lot to Europe during the process but that shouldn't be an issue I believe
My case is similar to yours. I never heard from them. They didn't even issue me a new driver license because of the pending security checks

I have travelled on two different occasions with an expired green card and the stamp on my passport to Nigeria and I had no problem at all, to and fro.
Thats good news. USCIS took my expired green card and the extension letter from me

Thanks for your reply guys. I wish someone with a similar case would give us his or her story though

Hello guys,
Did anyone travel oustide the US with only I-551 stamp on passport as a proof of legal residency?
USCIS took my expired extension letter and GC from me when I went to get my passport stamped for another 6 months.
Thank you

Hello everyone,
I have my interview this Thursday "12/04" at the US embassy in Algiers.
We applied for a CR-1 visa and we paid all the fees.
I want to know if there are additional fees i should pay during the interview?
Thanks.

Hello there. I am a US citizen currently petitioning for a CR-1 visa for my spouse. I am trying to fill out the I-864 EZ and came across a couple potential problems. I filed my taxes from 2011 with my ex husband. Therefore, I am not sure what to put for Adjusted Gross Income. It isn't just MY income. Also, does anyone have an example of a cover letter I could file with the AOS package? I found one on here but it won't let me open it. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the quick response.
So, in addition to that, I need him to send me a signed I-864 form and a proof of citizenship "copy of passport".
Should he attach another I-864 signed by his wife coz her name appears on the transcripts?

Hello everybody,
Our petition got approved by USCIS two months ago. We got the case number and we are trying to get our stuff ready for NVC stage.
My wife has a good job now but she still needs a cosponsor coz she didn't make enough the last 3 years coz of school.
We found a cosponsor, he runs his own business. When I asked him about his tax transcripts for the past three years he made his accountant send me 3 files each has like 50 pages and it has this written on the Cover "individual income tax returns"
Can you please tell me if that will work?
If not, what should I tell him exactly to send me coz I am not familiar with this tax thing. It is so confusing.
-
yes we did sign on automatic updates.
Thanks for your response.
