Hello everyone!

I just filled for my N400 on 02/06/2019. I got my appointment letter for the biometrics on 02/08/2019 which is scheduled in 2 weeks. My timeline says, case completion April 2021!!! Is this really legit???My husband is a US Citizen  and we have been married for 5 years now(I wished I applied for N400 2 years ago..since I was still eligible then!). I wanted to know if someone here had a date of case completion shortened over the time??

Bachelors in Social work. Yes he will be in the middle of the course and is planning to visit during his winter break. My parents already have a visiting visa, so they will be here already.

What I meant was is there anything else one could think of that he could take to the interview that would convince them he is going to come back.

He is currently enrolled in college to obtain his bachelors in  Social work. He has 2 more years to graduate from the program and is in a middle of his course, so Yes, he is definitely going back. He was planning to get a letter from the university saying that he is a bonified student of this university. Im not sure what other evidences he should get. I have an invitation grom my school that I can provide.

Hello everyone!

I have been in the US for last 5 years and graduating from graduate program this fall. I was really wanting my brother to be here with me, atleast for 2 weeks during that time. He is 21 and a BSW student in India. He had applied for B2 3 years ago for my daughters christening and was denied then. Any thoughts how he should prepare for the application this time?

yes...i just picked it up from the vfs location.!!!

got an email from the vfs that passport ready for pick up in the morning....went and picked up the passport with the visa in it...without any ERRORS!!! yayyy!!

had the visa interview on 6th sept at new delhi...had opted for pick up from vfs location, wanted to know if anyone here had to go through the process in new delhi? kindly share how long did it take to get the pickup ready...this is a terrible wait!!

we had marriage certificate in vietnam justice department but we havent celebrated our wedding yet, then my husband came back to the states to file I-130. if they asked me " when i celebrated my wedding,?' should i tell the truth and explain or should lie ???

legal wedding is all that matters.....dont lie about anything

Would you please share when you would get visa?

I have interview on 16th Sept in Delhi. So, wanted to know the approx timeframe for my travel.

they provide u with options for either pickup or mailing....i had already created a profile at ustravel.docs before the interview and optioned for a pickup.

the american lady told me 10 days after approving the visa. we can check the status online or call them up after a couple of days. im planning on calling on monday...since saturday sunday is a holiday.

Had ma visa interview today at US embassy, new delhi at 8:00am...just got back home..had to share ma experience with everyone here!

reached the embassy at 7:25am...asked to form two lines..immigrant and non immigrant, went through the security check.Was then given a token number, went in sat waited for ma turn...was then called by the indian CO, she took ma fingerprints then i was asked to meet another indian lady who asked me only one question, who is calling you? she then returned all my originals and took ma passport and asked me to wait to be called for the interview.

nearly 20 min later ma token number was announced, i went to the assigned window, there was a young american lady, she gave me a smile.

CO: HEY.MORNING..HW DO YOU FEEL?

ME:IM GOOD

CO:RAISE UR RIGHT HAND..(asked me to take the oath)

ME: DID

CO: TELL ME HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR HUSBAND.

ME: ANSWER

CO: HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE THERE FOR THE WEDDING?

ME: ANS.

CO: WHAT DOES YOU HUSBAND DO? WHERE DOES HE WORK?

ME: ANS.

CO: WHAT DO HIS PARENTS DO?

ME:ANS.

CO:DOES HE HAVE BROTHERS OR SISTERS?

ME:ANS

CO:WERE THEY THERE FOR THE WEDDING?

ME: ANS

CO: HOW OFTEN DO YOU BOTH TALK?

ME ANS

CO: HOW MANY TIMES HAS HE VISITED YOU?

ME: ANS

CO: IS THIS THE FIRST TIME YOU ARE TRAVELLING TO THE STATES?

she smiled again, gave me DS230 to sign....flipped through the papers again smiled and said.....congratulations your visa has been granted..the passport will be mailed to you. I WAS ALL SMILES....!!

i spoke to the executive at the embassy call centre and he said i neednt....the website says i have to...!!! kindly post if anyone knows

omg!!!omg!!!just called up nvc!!! got the interview scheduled for 6 september 2013...8:00am....delhi!!! God is good!!! his works are marvelous!!!

called up nvc yday...they said interviews for india in august have closed....september( MAYBE)....!!!this is depressig!!

Nope, As far i know, They only accept PCC issued by Passport Office. they do not ask for the one given by local police station anymore. And regarding the expiry date, it mentioned as 1 year valid in Packet IV instructions document posted on consulate website. I did email the consulate, and you know how they would reply...i was asking for PCC validity and the replied me saying that " looks like you want to know your application status, plz contact NVC "... now what should i say?

Does anyone in here have mumbai consulate direct email id?, i send email to info@ustraveldocs.in and got the above reply..

good observation robinhood... they did not give any appointments between 07/12 and 07/28, i really can't understand whats wrong with them at all... delay.. delay... and delay......

And also on other note, i saw a recent post in new delhi consulate review posted on July 5th saying that they were again asked for PCC even though the one submitted to NVC was just 6 months old... Its because of NVC delay our PCC is now more than 6 months old, do we have to get a new one again? I thought PCC is valid for 1 Year right? any idea on that?... link is below..

hey....

i have a doubt....i knw two PCCs are required...one from the passport office and the other from the local police where you reside.....the local police one is valid for 6 months, just found dat out yesterday...mine has expired too...i think it will take a week to recieve it...

Does the passport office one has as expiration too??

We stress to call. the emails are coming like 3 to 5 days later. So call monday you never know. Nothing else but wait and get interview ready ready your interview reviews for your country and get your evidence and whatever together.

i recieved an email from the NVC on 24 june 2013, saying dat they have recieved all ma documents required for the pre processing of our case....the beneficiary, attorney will be notified when the date for the interview is scheduled...

does this email mean that the case has been COMPLETE???

called up the nvc yday(regardless dey being so rude) cudnt get enough information

help.....do i expct a date for august?
