Yes it's a total mystery what happens over weekends with AP. I believe that transport still happens, just no scanning or tracking of any kind. So with any luck it'll be on board for delivery Monday morning. If not, hopefully Tuesday. A friend suggested calling AP on Monday morning if there's no tracking at all and making a fuss, lol.

I do have transcript as well as 1040A from joint sponsor. But,in 221g slip,its been mentioned to submit tax returns of joint sponsor n W-2s of joint sponsor. They have asked for the year 2013 only. I do have tax transcript of 2014 too. Lets see....how it goes.

Hi, SF!

It is *MY* understanding that, if you submit tax TRANSCRIPTS, you do not have to submit W-2s or any other forms. The transcripts are an official record from the IRS that the tax return was properly filed, including W-2s and 1040As.

Hi dear.
In my 221g, its been mentioned to new joint sponsor. As follows:
Provide signed originals of:
1. Form I864 from a new joint sponsor
2. If joint sponsor is married, Form I864A between both
3. Anyother household member contributing his income
Provide one set of the following supporting documents:
1. 2013 US Individual Tax Returns (IRS Form 1040) from the joint sponsor (and spouse)
2. 2013 W-2 forms from the joint sponsor


What i have received just now from my joint sponsor is as follows:
1.Filled n signed I864 and I864A from joint sponsor n his wife as they are filling jointly
2. Tax transcripts n 1040A for the year 2014,2013,2012
3.Bank Stament
4.Pay stubs of last 2 months
5.Employment letter
6.Copy of passport

Dont have W-2s of 2013. Can it create an another hitch in my process. Should i ask new joint sponsor to provide me W-2s or should i submit without it. Please help me out....so stressed.

Going through same hell. CO asked me to submit a new joint sponsor bcz he has already sponsored many in past. So he is ineligible. Where the hell they were uptil now? NVC never told anything about this nor my interview letter mentioned to bring new joint sponsor. I was so careful since inception though it leads to AP for me.

No. Its not mentioned anywhere in interview letter. On the day of interview CO asked for new joint sponsor bcz my joint sponsor has already sponsored 16 people in past n now he is not eligible to sponsor more people. So i need to submit a new one in drop box.

Did they ask you to come with the new sponsor when they sent out your interview letter? Or they didn't mention it till interview? I am wondering if they requested for this because the initial sponsorship had expired or for any other reason. what is your thought on this?

My interview was at 12pm, and I was heading out at 1:15pm. Everything was very smooth and quick I think!

First I had a pre-interview, they requested my police certificate, 2 photos, medical and proof of relationship ( I brought with me a LOT of evidence: cards, chats, photos, photo album, bank statements, insurance card, etc, etc )

The questions of the pre-interview were:

- Have you been in the U.S? How long?

- When and how did you meet?

- When did you become boyfriend and girlfriend?

- How many times have you visited him? and how many times your husband has visited you?

- When was your wedding? Who was at the wedding?

- Does your spouse speak Spanish?

- Do you speak English?

- What's your occupation? What does your spouse do for living?

- Where does your spouse live in the US? Who does your spouse live with?

- Was your spouse or you married before?

And I think that was all, then I had to wait for the final interview with the CO (this interview was in English), a very nice man, he only checked my documentation, and said: Thank you so much for bringing so much evidence, I like the photo album, who made it?, I explained it was a gift from my husband, then he went: oh! very nice pictures!, enjoy the U.S, your visa is approved! it will take around 4 business days once you send us the call center's confirmation page to pick up your documents.

And that's it! I was nervous the day before, but there's no need to be nervous, just bring everything you need. A lot of people there were sent back because they were missing documentation.

I had my interview on 18th March. CO took my interview,took fingerprints n oath n at last issued me a 221g and asked to submit new joint sponsor. He took all docs n medical report but returned my passport with 221g. I need to submit new joint sponsor with passport in drop box. Anybody facing same,please share here. So,we can update one another. Thanks.

Exactly. Indian CO opened medical report n put it with other papers in file but never returned to me. Just returned passport n 221g and asked to submit passport with new joint sponsor in drop box.

@sf786 on IV day, they opened the medical exam envelope, they reviewed it and put the papers with all of the other papers of the case (i guess) in the envelope that they gave me sealed...but i don't have any copies of that exam...

No dear. I dont need to go there again. They took my interview and done everything. I just need to submit my passport and new jount sponsor in drop box. I have asked this to CO before leaving interview window. My status is showing AP right now. After submitting,it may take few days,i dont know exact time. But i need it early bcz my husband is here in India right now n he want to take me home with him only. Need your prayers...

sf786 does this mean that you will go in second interview? or now you just need to drop the new joint sponsor and wait for their call? what about ceac status? it shows administrative processing? how much do you need to wait after you send new i864? please those answers will be for future help to anyone

Yes i can but i dont want to. Because it will justvstretch more n take time. We have already contacted our another relative,he will send it in few days here and will submit a new sponsor as it has been asked.

You can contest if you believe your JS meets the requirements but it will be an uphill battle. Just a find another one. I'm pretty sure your husband has other relatives or friends willing to help.
