  1. No worries..just to the surgeon office as quickly as possible this week and get the form complete and mail it back to them along with a copy of that letter. They don't care about what you did or didn't in the UK as far as AOS is concerned...

You gonna have to comply with the instructions given in terms of AOS. This hiccup has nothing to do with you getting an interview by the way.

  2. You shouldn't write any explanation letter for your ROC. All documents they do request you will be in the notice they often send to applicants. In your case, these kind of letter opens up more questions than answers in the first place. If your marriage is genuine then send only evidence of a bonifide marriage and let them decide if an interview is necessary to take a formal decision . It's not mandatory to have a kid or credit card but love and faith.

  3. If you are divorced to your wife ( petitioner ), yes it will affect both ROC & citizenship. You can finish up your immigration journey without her BUT you gonna have to prove that your marriage wasn't a scam wich you entered only to gain legal status. And if you can't provide anything substantial as far as real financial commingling then you going to be in a difficult situation to keep you GC. After a year with no child and no financial commingling like you enumerate it's unlikely that uscis will give you a free pass on this. I might be wrong but you better find an good attorney before the next move.

  4. Although I understand what the OP is going through at this time but it's also important to acknowledge that immigration journey is a "WAITING GAME "it's a tough and bumby road to say the least. While millions of people are waiting just for NO2..I suggest you to be more patient and we all pray for you to receive your visa in a very short time. You're half way through this long journey. Good luck

  5. Yes the dwheels76 is absolutely and undeniably correct. There's a clear evidence that she wants to emigrate and the consulate officers know as well. So don't make it more difficult for her and for yourself when your petition is approved and she will have to face the same persons whose gonna interview her. Just chill out and let your petition get approved and she will get her immigrant visa. Good luck

Subject : Request for Evidence "RFE"

-if you noticed that a RFE has been issued to you as it appears online "status", make sure you go online and schedule an infopass as soon as possible.

.As you may know, it put on hold to your dreams, aspirations and everything else in between.

-if you don't receive the mail 10 days after it was issued, call uscis and talk to an io in pronto to see if the mail was sent to your address.

    - finally go to your infopass appointment before an io and ask them the mail whereabouts or a new one in your own hands.

-In doing so, you wouldn't be going through the same ordeal that many of us in this forum had to go through and it save you time & money

  7. I deeply share your frustration as it's been a new normal at uscis not to MAIL RFE to applicants so they can promptly respond to that. Its really shameful and disgraceful on the part of some the reckless employees whose doing so for a simple purpose..delay and/or deny you benefit sought. I personnally went through the same ordeal year ago and had to refile a new package with new fees $1070 because the mail never left the office. I salute your tenacity and relentless attempt to call them out. Bravo!

  8. No. If they sent you an RFE request for evidence to verify the credibility of your relationship and/or proof of eligibility of benefit sought, uscis will give you 87 days to respond. Once they received the documents requested, they will process it and update your application accordingly but don't expect a mail coming to you for that matter. Keep checking your status online..you will see updates
