Changnoi got a reaction from aditya3245 in July 2013 I-130 Filers
PD July 25 ....First transfer notice - Jan 13.....Second Transfer Notice - Jan 14.....and today I received Third notice Jan 16
No hard copy yet...will update location when I receive it.
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
Thank You Lord for a quick decision....Amen

That part has varied a fair bit. Sometimes people receive the three notices in consecutive days, others have a gap of several days. A few people have received only two notices, a few have received four. For my transfer, I received the first notice at 7:45 in the evening, the second at 7:15 the following morning, and the third electronic notice didn't arrive until days later, on the same day I received the hard copy. Don't get hung up on these details too much; if you receive the first electronic notice, you know a mailing is on its way, so keep a lookout for that and don't sweat the rest

Congrats to everyone who just got a transfer!
You should receive three electronic notices. You can disregard the content of these; every transferred petition since March has received these same three notices. It's a strange quirk in USCIS' system, but these aren't important. What matters is the hard copy you'll receive in a few days. Petitions are being transferred to Nebraska, California, or Texas, and your hard copy will state which center your petition has been sent to. Best of luck everyone, and be sure to check back in to share where your petition went when you find out!

Welcome to another monthly thread for NVC! In this first post, you'll find useful links as well as phone numbers/email addresses. In the second post I've compiled a FAQ and at the end summarized the NVC process. Please read through everything before posting questions as it's very likely that your question can be answered by reading through the links and/or FAQ.
Note: Please keep in mind, since NVC required everyone to use the online DS-261 and DS-260 forms starting September 1st, 2013, a lot of the following guides have become outdated. Please use caution.

    You're married.
    You have to file CR1.
You have to get a certified copy or original for NVC.
You don't need the original for at least 3+ months from now.
I think you can handle the wait time.

No it can be any US citizen/ Perm. Resident.
Just make sure to include a copy of sponsor's identification in the AOS packet.

Changnoi reacted to dwheels76 in How can you tell if your case have been touched?
I wouldn't look too much into "being touched". First as you see not every clerk or whoever logs they touched your file. A touch can be i picked your petition up and moved it to shelf B. It doesn't necessarily mean anyone is working on it.
Some never see anything from initial review (which all petitions say once a receipt # is assigned to approval).
Its just a waiting came 6 to 10 months now they say and depending on your local office well it could be more or less.

We had an issue on our G325A as well, this is what we were told to do and it worked.
If it does not fit in the block, you are gonna write "See Attachment", inside that block and you are gonna type up a attachment sheet. For example on ours it was the G325A and my wifes mother birth place was to long for it so this is what the attached sheet looked like below, only difference will be the block that its to small to write in. You are gonna write exactly what the question is after the date of birth line and type what the block asks and your gonna answer it underneath the question. Then when u send the forms be sure to attach it with a paper clip and include it in your cover sheet so they know you have an attachment for that form. I hope this helps and good luck on your journey

Changnoi reacted to Tegeras in NVC Waiting Time Way longer then USCIS!
You got lucky with the USCIS. Had you had to wait the actual 6 months like many have reading these forums then your wait with the NVC would have seemed fast.
    Count your blessings

A baby alone is not proof of a bonified marriage... Sine you have years together, it should be easy to send in some additional evidence along with the child's birth certificate... Just choose some from your list and add it to your package...
