Things have been pretty busy for me the past few days and I haven't been online, but last friday I had my interview and we were approved!!!! We are so excited, and tonight I checked and her passport just left Ciudad Juarez this afternoon at 7:45 pm so I am expecting to be able to pick it up on Friday!!!

A big thanks to everyone here its great to have you all here supporting each other and its amazing how much time and effort is put into helping others, Thank you especially to Dwheels and Saylin you are some of the most selfless people I've heard of, and you make the process sooooo much easier. Thank you, actually that is what I am doing, and I wasn't able to get Tuesday off because there is a cruise ship in town and those are the busiest days, Im going to just make appointrments to make sure we can do everything the same day. and if not, I will just go the day after her.

Im just filled with joy, Im on my 7th month in NVC and I got my Case Complete today!!! Im so excited now just gotta wait to see when the interview date is to start making arrangements at work and flight details to go to the interview with my wife!!!
How exciting after 16 months of this process Im hoping I'll be done by the 18 month line, when originally I thought i would be done a year ago lol

YESSSSSSSS!!!! We just had our AOS fee invoiced and it's now PAID. :) Ahhh, the little things that makes us happy. haha

Today its been 1 year since my NOA 1 and I inocently thought I had hopes to be back in the US for Christmas last year, now i am hoping and praying for a quick case complete to be able to get an August interview... We'll see what happens.

Ok Soloenta your crystal ball needs some polishing!!! It said the ds261 would be ready Monday or Tuesday and it wasn't until today!!! But ya I'm still happy today I was able to fill it out!!!

I am in the same situation as you. I am living abroad and my job will end when I move back to the US. You have to write your current annual income as $0. I will be doing the same and using a joint sponsor and showing assets. I suggest you do the same.
From the NVC website:
“Can a credible offer of employment for the visa applicant replace or supplement an insufficient Affidavit of Support?
No, the law does not recognize offers of employment in place of the I-864.
A job offer may show ability of the applicant to overcome ineligibility as a public charge, but does not meet any I-864 requirement.”

ok I have a question about the i-864, I am living abroad so i abviously need a co-sponsor and now that I have my case number I started pressuring him and he told me he hasnt filed his taxes for 2012 nor 2013 soooo, I am looking for a new sponsor, I just need to know what amount on their annual income i am looking for, because my brother has a farm with a lot of income, but it also has a lot of expenses and he has a lot of children, so I need to know if it is total income or adjusted income.

and on a side note, this community is the best. I got so excited when I got my case number yesterday and only here seems like other people are excited for the same thing to other people that arent going through this dont really understand how it is such a big deal, any one I mention it to, they are like.. oh so she got aproved? so she has her interview or what is so good about getting the case number?? but ya its great to spend hours and hours reading all of your comments and seeing the process everyone is going through and to have such a large vj family that gets excited for the same things as me

Wow Soloenta your right on the money!!!! I got my case number assigned today but can't add my emails until tomorrow but the operator (Robert) was super nice and said if I wanted I could just give him my emails and he would add it first thing tomorrow when he arrives at the office! I'm soooo excited!!! Things should get rolling quick now

Ya its a great place to be, its a popular vacation town for chihuahua and durango. I will keep you all posted, I've been more of a lurker up till now cuz im just waiting 4 my case number but the fun should begin any time now

I'm living in Mazatlan, I've been here for just over 11 years now! and I love it but things evolve and its time to go back to open some opportunities for the kids.
hehehe actually I wasn't even going to call until next week like on Tuesday, but once I saw you got your case number today I called right away, but nothing yet but you've got a great point why wait, I might as well take advantage of Magic Jack and make a free phone call everyday till I get my case number

Congratulations Soloenta!!! I bet you are pretty happy today to have received your case number, I should be right behind you, I got my NOA2 the same day as you but NVC didn't receive my case until 04/28 so maybe by Friday or Monday I will get my case number, I hope so anyway.

OMG. I am so happy, I'm crying!! Just got an interview date. June 4th at 9:15am!!!!!

I received my approval today!!!!! Finally, I am so happy, I finally have hope again to have my wife and kids in the us for school next August, now here's to hoping for a quick process in NVC
