I called tonight, when she gave the MNL# I asked right then if she could email that to my email address that she had on record. She said to try that on Monday (call and ask for the rep to email it).

And yes, I did email NVC as well.

I called them twice....they said they would send something out....... it was just hot air, nothing came until I sent the inquiry by email. When you have them on the phone, ask them to send it while you are on the phone with them....pin them down on when it will be sent.

I assumed it would be sent out right away that day.....but no so..... :-(

The funny thing was that the response email back from NVC corresponded to when our file was shipped out to the Embassy in Manila, maybe some correlation there......

Yup- I had my case number by phone already....I was trying to get something in writing, I had sent an email, talked to two reps at NVC about getting a notice and then finally received an answer from my email and it took over 2 weeks...

As the question says. I got the case number today (wow, fast - got the NOA2 Monday), but need confirmation via email for the medical, per guru Hank's guidelines.

My request took almost 2 weeks to get a response....it certainly was not very fast.....of course, with thousands of people calling them everyday looking for information.....just saying :-)

Seems like your heart is in the wrong place.....she is what she is...if you can't openly accept what she has done and not be angry about it you should move on.....

I guess I was wrong. Ours wasn't in that shipment. I just checked the CEAC and our status now says Ready! It must have shipped out Monday instead of Tuesday.

I just looked at mine also and it says "READY" which if you read the notice means "Ready For Your Interview" Our files must have shipped a few days ago.... :-)

There is no way to know for sure. I'm just basing it on the date NVC shipped it.

We might get the NVC Letter after the interview - lol. NVC didn't receive our case until Friday. We got caught up in the VSC to TSC transfer nightmare and they didn't mail our case to NVC until July 10th. Glad that is over haha.

I checked DHL and our case is on it's way to Hong Kong now. It should be in Manila by Friday.

I did finally receive and email from NVC late last night with our MNL Case # and the email said that our file has been forwarded to the Manila Embassy !!!! :-)

What about your nvc aos and your visa app? Didnt you get your mnl number before all that?

15 business days after our NOA2, I called the NVC and was able to verbally get our MNL Number....up to that time, we had received no notices from NVC.

NVC will not send out the notice with your MNL Case Number until it ships your file to the US Embassy in Manila.

Once you have gotten your MNL Number verbally, you can the pay the Visa fee in the Philippines, which then allows you to schedule your interview date and go and get the Medical and CFO.

Don't wait for NVC to do anything until they actually ship your file....you can start getting things done before that by getting your Case Number verbally.

Congrats !!

Gema's interview is on August 12 when is your lady doing her medical Gema plans to go this coming Monday the 29th ?

My Lady has a bit of a cold that she just picked up a couple of days ago....if she does not get completely well by the end of next week, she will wait until after our interview on Aug 8th....better to be safe with that.

If her lungs are not clear at the time of the medical.....she will have to wait 2 months to come back !!! and we don't want that to happen...

Looks like she will do both the medical and CFO after our interview.....we feel that will be a safe way to get everything done.

I have been checking the NVC site everyday to see if there was any activity.....to my surprise :-) Our file is now in transit to the Manila Embassy !!!

6/13/13- Received NOA2

7/8/13- Verbally verified our MNL Case number

7/23/13- File in transit to Embassy

8/8/13- Interview to take place

I am a happy camper today !!!!

Still no official notice from NVC......so checking the NVC site is an important thing to do

Now for my love to get through the Medical and CFO......

Immigrant Visa Case Number: MNLXXXXXXXXXX

Our approved petition was sent to the National Visa Center last July 18. How long does it usually take for the NVC to do background clearance and send to the US Embassy in Manila? Anybody from the Philippines here? Thank you!

We received our NOA2 on June 13...we were able to call and get our MNL Case Number on July 8th, still have not received our written notification of our case number and the file is still at NVC.

I am wondering also how long it will take, our interview date is Aug 8th

NVC will not email your MNL # just by asking them. You have to request it by email and they will reply to your email, make sure include all the required information in your email:

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Hi Hank...I did all that by email but never received a response, so then I called them and they said they would send out an email confirming our Case Number, and still nothing....they also said that the notice with the Case Number will usually only go out once the file has shipped....just saying... :-)

anyone approved recently got your MNL case number yet? i just called NVC today and they told me to that they have received my files from ISCIS and to wait 20 business days for them to access my files and give me my case number. to those who have been approved and got their case number how long did you have to wait? thanks

We waited 15 business days.....called and was able to verbally get our MNL Case Number, I still have not received it in writing or by email even though I have asked them twice to please send it to me :-(

Our NOA2 was was sent to me on 6/13/13 and I was able to get our MNL Case Number on 7/4/13

According to the NVC Website, our file is still there and has not been forwarded to Manila :-(

I am getting a little worried because our interview is set for Aug 8th and without the file there.....I am not sure what will happen !!!!!

This isn't the place where you have a crib sheet. That's totally contrary to the whole point of it.

Your fiance shouldn't know your brother's cell phone number. Why on earth would she know such a thing unless she calls him on the phone all the time? Does she do that? There is such a thing as being unnaturally prepared.

Comments on this forum have indicated that your fiancé should know the name and phone number of her Finance's nearest relative....and that is my brother ??

My Fiancé' is trying to memorize lots of information about me and my family.....my Brothers cell phone number, my mothers Maiden name, etc....

This is a lot to memorize....can she have a piece of paper to reference this information during the CFO interview ??....I don't even have my brothers cell phone number memorized....

Please tell me your experience regarding this at the CFO....we just want to be prepared...
