  1. Thank you, and good luck today! smile.png

And yes, the embassy will receive the package before the interview no problem. But my question is if them getting the medical results before they receive the package will complicate things.

Almost all medicals show up before the interview, so I am guessing that they have a filing system to store the medical results until the interview takes place....I don't think it really matters when it shows up to the Embassy, they will just hold it.

    Just my thoughts....

    Cheers,

  2. My fiance completed and passed her medical yesterday. Our approved I-129f packet still has yet to be shipped out from NVC (although we did get an MNL### by phone). Will this present a problem (i.e. will the embassy still be able to match up the medical results, which they obviously will get before the NVC shipment of my packet, with my packet?)? The interview isn't until October 2, if that makes any difference.

You will be fine.....Oct 2nd is a long way off and from everything I have seen so far, your package will be there in plenty of time....

    Congratulations on the medical.... !!!!!

My fiancé will be doing hers Thursday....she is sleeping right now in a hotel close by the hospital and will be getting up at 12:30 am to get ready, some food and be first inline !!! she is hoping to be done in one day :-)

    Cheers

  3. Apparently if she shows up at 4:30, she can get it done in one day. Provided she passes the x-ray of course.

She plans on being in line at 2:00 am....uggggg !!!! hopefully one of the first...then if all goes well she will be done in one day.

  4. Hay naku, cjmc. You're a nice enough guy, but I guess you didn't get that I was being facetious in the other thread. You should know better than to try and elicit supercilious comments on a message board - especially from a Filipina. What did you really expect to read?

The whole idea of this thread was to get some honest remarks about the topic....oops8rh.gif Maybe I was wrong to ask such a thing secret7vf.gif

  5. America is a country of Immigration....that is how it all started......way back when...

The drive for people to immigrate to this country has always been about freedom and to find a better way of life.

I have personally found that the Filipina I am going to marry has strong family values and shows great compassion and love for me....

"True love" is a two way street....unconditionally giving to your partner to make them happy....when this attitude is in place with both partners.....WoW !!! that is certainly true love heart.gif

I have found this now and have had a hard time finding it in the US in the past with other relationships.

    Just my thoughts !!!

  6. Seriously tampon?! Haha just kidding :-P I myself wouldn't try that lol its uncomfortable.

Anyways back to the topic. I just want to clarify. So SLEC do count one week from the last day of your last period? I am still really confuse. My last day was Yesterday and I am already set on Thursday for medical but this is holding me because some says they might do gyne exam?

Please advice me if I will pursue on Thursday. I don't want to wait until next week as I want to have a few days gap before my interview and I can only make absences from my work Thursday or Fri because workload isn't heavy . my schedule interview is Aug 12

From what I understand and from all the reading I have done, you calculate your last day by adding 11-14 days from your first day of your last period, so we used 14 days just to be conservative and then you added the 7days.

So basically, you can have your physical 3 weeks after the first day of your last period.

They will do a gyne exam from what I understand....

Good luck, we have been struggling with this also....the definition of the "Last Day".....

  8. Ok....since we are on such a sensitive topic and we seem to be able to openly talk about such a thing.... I have another question....there seems to be a cultural difference between the Philippines and the US in using pads instead of "Tampons"

Through all this, I get the feeling that Filipina's seem to use pads and not "Tampons" for their monthly period, is this true ??

I would like my Fiance' to try and use "Tampons" because in our US culture, they seem to make that monthly chore go more smoothly, less messy and you can go swimming....

Hey ladies, jump in on this conversation and try and convince my Fiancé that it is ok to try this....maybe she will like it :-)

    This should be interesting...... :-)

    Cheers,

  9. The count is supposed to begin on the first day of the last menstrual period. Day 11-14 is usually "one week after the last day of their period" for most women, and also coincides with the start of the fertility period. That is why they also ask about recent sexual contact.

We just kept it simple and waited for the Monday 2 weeks after the start of her lmp.

That makes a whole lot of sense....thanks for that input :-)

  10. It looks like some questions regarding what is considered the last day of a woman's period.

Some women are having their medicals done very soon after their so called " Last Day"

What is considered the "Last Day" according to the medical examination people ?? How do they ask that question ??

Has anyone run into trouble answering the question ??

We are just trying to figure this one out.....there seems to be some confusion over this.

They only want you to do the physical one week after the last day...."so when is the last day" !!!

    Input Please :-)

    Cheers,

    cjmc

  11. With lots of searching and reading on the internet.....the consensus is:

"The last day of your period is the last day you see red blood the brown discharge is your ####### cleaning itself and blood turns brown when its old"

I am a guy that does not know anything but did some research :-)

    Cheers,
