    Hi, all!
    I do have good news.
I just heard from my immigration attorney, my VAWA petition was approved!!!!
What to say, it's nearly the happiest day in my life! I'm just so excited to start new life feeling myself like a person, not a prisoner locked up in bad circumstances.
As for my child support case they just started enforcing the money, but for some reason I'm getting only child support or spousal support each month and never both, they say it will take time to get it work properly, this process depends on his employer and other factors. However, I'm happy to know that soon I can get a work permit. I'm not quite sure whether I have to stop going to school (I'm taking ESL classes now) and find a job immediately or not.
But I am in a big need of car. I really need to get a driver's license. Because the transportation system here is very bad, and my son's school is not on a way to anything, it takes me about 6 hours a day to get around (to his school - to my school - to animal shelter where I volunteer - to his school again - home). And he keeps getting sick from all those germs. This is probably the biggest challenge for me right now. But at least one of the banks finally let me to open an account. It's just a debit card but it helps me pay some of the bills so I don't have to physically go places to do it. With this card my life became so much easier, that's for sure!
So life is getting better and better and I'm glad that one day I decided to make a difference and many of you supported. Thank you.
It's interesting that from the time they received it and to the time they approved has been only 10 months. Just a miracle! Or maybe it's not only luck but a result of constant work and not giving up. I'm grateful for that chance to have same rights as every other person and I hope many of those who suffered in a past can get hope and opportunity to move on and just be free.

Action speaks louder than words that's for sure, especially in a long term relationship. But to establish a relationship, some mutual understanding should be shown, mostly by words, especially when there are two differenct cultures involved. Then, once that is established, saying I love you every 5 minutes, once a day or none at all should depend on their relationship.
I do like to hear my husband say he loves me once in a while, or else it'll feel like being with a roommate with benefit

Good that she does show effection. should be nothing to worry about but to hear ' I love you' once in a while is good for a relationship, especially with different culture where you cant really 'read' the gesture coz of the difference.
One thing to consider, Thais are very much 'service minded' so that should not be confuse with 'love'. I would pour beer/water/offer food to person I just 'know' and they would think I care, but I just did coz that's what I do, gave wrong impression to many though

anya-D got a reaction from in Is "New York Chinese Food" any different than other Chinese food in the US?
Not really the case here... the owner is Chinese but the cooks are all Mexican (or Hispanic at least). The food's not that bad though, actually, but wouldn't say very good like when I was in Chinatown in Canada.
Ha! didnt see this before I posted

    Hi Ladies!!
It's been a very fast 11 weeks of my life I'm going back to work (a week early) next week. Sam is so adorable now he is smiling and laughing and trying to grab stuff.. he's also sleep at least 6 hrs straight at night (since 9 weeks old) and just florish! He's been to the daycare a few days a week and he's fine so I wont worry about that but it's the seperation that is going to make me sad. I also got a waiver for Sam to sleep on his stomach at the daycare and he's a lot happier there now. He is gigantic though.. weigh 15 lbs 7 oz (98%) and 24 inches long (90%) he's very strong.
I'm going to take him to Thailand in December and he will be 6 months by then. His cousin was just born this Tuesday and he will be 3-4 months by the time I go and they can meet. I'm wondering though, when you go oversea, do you carry your own car seat? I dont think there's a car seat rule in Thailand and we will be using a lot of taxi I dont if I will get to use the car seat at all. Is there anything like a carseat for traveling infant? I plan on just holding him in the taxi, I know it's not the safest thing but i dont really know what to do. ideas?

    sorry for the big pictures!

    Hi ladies
So finally some update from me.. He finally came!! My baby arrived Monday June 21th at 8.58 pm - it's the first day of summer! (we were hoping for Father's day gift). I was in labor since Sunday early morning 4 am and waited at home until 6pm but got sent home becasue I was only 2 cms. That night was the worse night, contractions got so bad I yelled and screemed and forget all the breathing! I finally got atmitted to the hospital on Monday morning around 6.30 am. I decided it's time for the epi coz I was too tired to deal with the pain. It was a really hard and long labor and around 6 pm I got a fever and I wasnt fully dialted yet and the situation was not very clear if they would need to give me the emergency c-section or not. By around 8.40 pm my midwife decided to have me try to push (still about 9 cms)and about 5 pushes later (about 20 mins) Sammie decided to come see the world! He weight in at 9 lbs and 21 inches long. Thanks to my lovely husband, my sweet friend / doula Brooke and my midwife!! He is a sweet heart!! (oh and I got 2nd degree.. not that bad for such a big boy, my midwife tld me to stop pushing but his head came out anyway lol)
Now I'm pretty miserable with no sleep at night. Sam wont sleep on his back and have bad gas - we put him on his tummy but then we have to watch him closely so that didnt help much (but Sam got his nap and I got a little down time) my milk just came in yesterday and today my breasts hurt
I love Sammie to death though.. with all the aches and pains - he's so worth it
