  1. Well i'm in good situation in here it's like i need to go and look for job or anything , i'm perfect in my country "Hamdoulilah" . And i didn't want to work in here bcz i'm gonna live with my wife , bcz in my work "vet assistant" u can't just go work . U have to sing a contract and the less one force u to sing for 5 years .

I will not tell them that i miss my wife . I will say . We Apply for this visa because we wanna pass our honeymoon and my wife cannot visit me bcz she took too much time from her work so that she can't visit me this year . And we both know that the cr1 visa take too much time so my wife offer me to visit her and see her and pass sometime with her to go see her familly and do our honeymoon

And yes i agree with u . WE ARE PAYING WHAT OTHER STUPID PEOPLE DID . THat just PISS ME OFF EVERYTIME

May I suggest you get a letter from your wife's employer stating that she would not be able to travel because she took 1 month 2 weeks vacation last year.

    Good luck :)

  2. Okay everyone: The results are in : APPROVED!!!!!!

Bear contacted me from home via Skype about 20 min ago. Sorry we have been dancing and celebrating.

I want to FAITHFULLY THANK God first for answering our prayers to bring us together.

I want to GRATEFULLY express my sincere appreciation to my friend Dennis Bounds for doing a 24 hour fast with me from Tuesday night to Wednesday night to ask God for his blessing on the interview and to give Bear the strength, guidance, support, and calming of nerves to Bear during the interview.

I want to express a BIG THANKS to the VJ Web site for all the insightful guidance and information free of charge. I still cannot believe one cannot make a donation to the web master for site support.

I want to express a Warm Thanks to Bourey Peatnut for his help, support, and overall good nature to ALL couples going through the K-1 Visa Process. He is a welcomed party in many person’s life. Bourey, I will get with you to work out the details for sending you and your wife to dinner in your home town.

I want to give a moment of silence for the appreciation I feel toward the members of the all the following Facebook groups who have helped me out today / tonight with their thoughtful, encouraging, and welcomed comments to both Bear and I. All of you have helped me through a very long and difficult day.

And finally to Bear, baby, you have been patient through this entire process. 4 years is a long time for anyone to wait for another person. Through it all, we stuck together. I am so very proud of you.

    I have always loved you.

I cannot wait for the day I get to say “ yes, I definitely do take you as my wife”

    Thank you all.

God is GOOD ALL THE TIME :) Congratulations

  3. Hi NArocks!

    1. The child will be going with her natural mother to the embassy. I read that my husband will need to send a paper explaining he is unable to accompany her as well as I believe El Salvador likes to have both parents with minors

    2. The mother agrees - she sent us a notarized letter we were able to submit with the I-130 good.gif

    3. Under 2 years when I submitted. We will be 2 years the end of May sad.png So we will have to remove conditions

I have started calling her weekly to chat for 10 min or so. We haven't been able to get skype to work on the computer we sent her sad.png

It looks like El Salvador will require both parents to write up saying that she is okay to leave the country. I will ask her mother if there are any actual forms that we will need my husband to fill out and send. Also, I am worried about her flying out of El Salvador alone and having her POE without any support...

What kind of questions were asked in the interview for your stepchild if you don't mind my asking? When I talk to her I want to talk like her friend, not like I am prepping her for an interview (we are family after all!) But I am nervous that the kind of questions they might ask her wont come up in normal conversation.

    Any/All help is appreciated!!!

Hi, they'll ask her simple questions like : Have u ever met ur step-mom ? Are you excited to go there ? What do u want to do when u go there ? Have u ever traveled before ?

  6. HI everyone ! I'm pleased to bring ya'll GREAT NEWS! today I went to the Kingston consulate to do my Beneficiary Interview aka followup interview.

I arrived at 12PM at the consulate and gave one of the baggage holders my bag. My 221G paper was checked and then I proceeded through security. I waited for about an hour in the court yard before I went inside the consulate. Inside, I handed over my documents ( Christening certificate / High School registration form ). I was told to sit at the back . I waited for about 30 minutes or so, then my name was called randomly. The consular asked :

Why do I want to go to the USA ?

Have I always lived with my father ?

what happen to my biological mother ?

How long my dad and step mom have been married ?

    Are they living together ?

Why aren't they living together ?

Guys I'm so sorry I can't remember the rest. Tip : for every question that I answered I tried to expound on it so that the interview can be shorter . It's not advisable to do it all the time, you just have to know when to do it.

Over all it was a GREAT INTERVIEW! At the end the CO said that "everything looks ok " and asked how i will collect my VISA.

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those who helped me during this process :)

TO MY FELLOW FILERS WAITING : God has answered my prayer and he will answer yours just BELIEVE ! :)

  7. I'm going through a similar situation with my fiance having to get DNA on two of his kids. The extra cost of a DNA test that was not expected is very hard to come by and has absolutely nothing to do with your ability to survive in the states. Keep the faith and remain positive. I was actually on the verge of throwing in the towel being that I have tuition and 2 kids of my own to care for. However you have come to far to give up now. Remember a delay is not a denial. Good luck to you

Thank you so much. I know it can be very difficult! and I wish you and your family all the best :)
