Your opt is unaffected by your marital status.
-
I am assuming you are the one seeking citizenship. This question's answer depends on your spouse's number of marriages. If your spouse's first and only marriage was to you, then the rest of Question 8 does not apply.

Congrats Doug and Nancy!

I applied for my first OPT EAD mid-October and received it some time before Xmas.
I applied for my second OPT EAD "early" - some time in early March - and received it mid-May.
My friends who procrastinated applied in April and May and started receiving their cards in August or even September. Many thought it would give them more time to look for jobs, which it did. However, they had to pass up job offers in the interim. They were forced to check no to the "are you authorized to work in the US?" box.

I understand how Netflix binging can get boring after a while. But the legal and immigration-related "excitement" that would follow when a non-green card holder pretends to be a citizen in order to partake in jury duty and then gets caught, is something I'd pay to watch!
-
Wait, now I'm not sure based on your wording. You have an interview and then you get your conditional green card. When you apply for citizenship you have another interview and then the oath ceremony. Good luck!

No. The OPT EAD will take the same time to process as the one through your AOS. Plus with the AOS it is free and with the OPT you have to pay.
If you apply for the AOS in February or March, then you won't have any need to worry about being out of status. Good luck!

You have not mentioned in your post exactly why you did not indicate the 3 visa denials. So, why didn't you?

1. I would not bother with the signature. (Imagine how slow things would go if the thousands of letters they get daily all had to be signed for.). I have also read that sometiimes USCIS just ignored the signature request. Just go with delivery confirmation.
2. Having a spouse fill out the form is pretty common and not considered using an interpreter. This won't be an issue.

I checked 3 years and by the time they processed my case, 5 years had passed. Everything went smoothly from there so I don't think it matters. Good luck!

Click on the "Guides" at the to of every VJ page. It gives step by step directions as well as a list of forms and instructions. Good luck!

Yes, you have to wait the 5 years.

I did but it took about 2 weeks or so for the letter to appear online. Then I also received it in the mail.
-
It has been just 15 business days since you mailed the application. You really have to be more patient. Good luck!

Mine took about 2 weeks to show up online.

Could it have been the incorrect household size that put him under the limit?

I find it very strange that the father's perspective is that the children should only live in the US. Custody doesn't really seem to be the issue (no mention of the mother being unfit, etc.). Knowing that if she were deported (and therefore not likely to be able to return any time soon or perhaps ever) and the father's position being that she should then lose custody of the children, any visitation with her kids will be solely at the whim of the father. I'm not sure how likely it would be that a family judge in this situation would stipulate that the father must provide multiple plane tickets so the children could spend time with their mother given that she previously had primary custody. Not to mention the kids should lose their primary custodian (is that in their best interest?) because that's just what the father wants. I know he wants his kids close to him and so does she, so I see why this is a bit of a mess.

You will be unaffected. Filing married is all that matters. Good luck!

Mine took 8 months. (Read my signature for more details). Other people who applied the same time as me are still waiting not only for Oath ceremonies but their interview dates. Hopefully it speeds up but that doesn't seem likely at the moment. Good luck!

There is no replacement. It is not a document you are expected to have at that time. Therefore there are no red flags. This is thankfully a non-issue.

1. You file 90 days and not 3 months prior to the "resident since" date.
2. Since you have until April 15 to file taxes, it is not expected for you to have a copy of your transcripts.
