Congratulations my dear! Today is exactly one year since I filed. Smh.
A few people have said that the embassy sends it to DHL the next day after it being issued. But u should check https://usvisa-info.com/en-jm/selfservice/ss_country_welcome
to get update on the waybill number as the embassy is a little slow in notifying people. I have been checking the site all day. *fingers crossed*
Thanks....hopefully you will have your visa in hand this week...congrats on your approval and upcoming wedding!!!
-
My status changed to issued today!!! Finally, I applied in May of last year...almost a year later!!! Hopefully, it won't take them long to send off the visas because they are packed and ready to move!!!

Thanks...they are packed and ready just need the visa in hand. I have the plane money set aside waiting. The wedding is scheduled for April 26!First i must say i am so happy you are finally over that DNA hurdle...i really hope yours go to issued today because ypu have been waiting for far too long due to circumstances beyond your control...i am happy to know that they are working on it though...good luck..
It should change to "issued" today if not tomorrow is my guess. Since November!?! That's a long time....I thought my having waiting since December was a long time. We're practically in March now. Smh. At least ur over the hurdle...it's been approved and process moving along.
Thanks...hopefully we all will be moving on to the next phase soob

Mine changed to "non immigrant ready" on the 12th after being "immigrant ready". Based on what others have said it has to be "non-immigrant AP" then goes to "issued" within 2 days.
Thanks it went into "non immigrant AP" today so hopefully it will be issued soon Our interview was back in November! But due to DNA testing we were denied

Hello Everyone. Is good to know that that things are going smoothly for all May filers. For all of you with your loved ones already I can feel the excitement and the fulfillment and I am so happy for you all. For the rest of us not there yet just hang on to positive thoughts and we shall make it. Nurselling its nice to see you are moving fast on the next stage and you had adapted well. Blackcajun Congrats, your fiancé made it and wishing you the best in your wedding arrangement. Ozgirl, I was very happy when I read your post that you made it with the kids. After all the money spent for you and 3kids it was worth it at the end. For the rest of you that I did not mention their God bless you all. I got my interview in March 27th. At first I was so frustrated at the date,so I use the opportunity to enroll in pastoral care training and God has been faithful and I intend to get into a sound Christian bible college in the states when I get there. I am glad Jan is out of the way already. Yesterday was my birthday and it was hard to celebrate without my fiancée I was really hoping to spend Christmas and have my birthday with her. In everything I have learned to thank the Lord. Wishing you all a happy new month February.
Good to hear from you. You will soon be with your love. My fiance and I are still in the waiting game as well. We are waiting for the email with the DNA results. I'm guessing we have another month or two if the results are good

My fiance and Simons did their DNA this morning and was told it'll take 2 weeks for the embassy to receive the results. Hopefully, we'll get approved in February with visa in hand shortly there after. Our outdoor wedding is planned and all I need is him and his kids. We will do it outdoor at my lake house under the oak trees.

My fiance haven't made over yet and he keeps mentioning getting rid of my dog and other dos and don't. His reasoning "you are marrying a Jamaican man and this is how it is" I just simply respond with you are marrying an American women. I'm not giving up my River Bear and i'm standing firm. He has told me no drinking, pork, clubs, I have to wear "tall" dresses etc...I told him I am not Muslim so he can save the tall dress speech

Safe travels....once again CONGRATS!!!!!!

The courier company, Loomis, sent me an email letting me know my passport has been picked up from the consulate and gave me a tracking number. According to the tracking number, my passport with the visa in it, is already ready for pick-up here where I live!!
Even though my fiance and I are through the toughest part of the process so far, I will continue to be active on VJ for a little bit.
Ozgirl, I am so excited that your interview is in just a few days! I truly cannot wait to hear how it goes. I'll be curious to know if you beat me to Washington State .
Blackcajun, I hope all the things you are having to deal with are settling. How is it going?
CONGRATS!!!!!!!! Our DNA testing is scheduled for Tuesday. Hopefully, the embassy semester kit back to the states right away. I'm remaining hopeful and finishing the wedding planning

DNA testing appointment is scheduled for next Tuesday, January 28th at 9am. Praying for positive results and a speedy approval.

It's coming along slowly but surely. Was interviewed on January 2, but I knew there was a problem in what I call "pre-screening" where a non-interview staffer looks through the documents to make sure everything is there. First of all, they never received the Packet 3 checklist from our lawyer, to indicate we were prepared. Then, the Affidavit of Support (I-134) was not received. So I knew right then I wasn't getting approved... plus, I brought the wrong birth certificate, but that was the least of my concerns, since there was a bigger problem of missing affidavit.
I still interviewed -- that was easy and went well -- but we had to send them the I-134. Keep in mind, we are working with a lawyer so everything should have gone well and been done right... WRONG!
Turns out our lawyer had my fiance sign the I-864 (a different affidavit for the Adjustment of Status phase) so yet another delay! We are actually going to fire our lawyer due to her incompetence (in our opinion).
Anyways, consulate has the proper forms now, just waiting on a decision. I emailed them yesterday and they said that a consular officer was working on reviewing our case and they would notify us as soon as the process is completed... and by "process is completed" I hope they mean an APPROVED case
I don't blame you for firing the lawyer. You should not have had any delays because the lawyer should everything completed properly and on time. I certain you'll get an approval within a week or two. Usually when they say a CO has it that means they are just doing some final paperwork to get it mailed out to you. Wishing you the best of luck

Blackcajun, I was wondering how things were going for you! You hadn't been here in awhile -- glad you're still alive . I sure hope the DNA testing can be done in quick time so you can get on with your life with your fiance! Are you guys still waiting for your interview?
Yes he was interviewed in November and received a 221g temporary denial based on paternity. He his bringing his 3 kids with him and they are making him do a DNA on 2 of them. Since thisbhappened so close to the holiday, we decided to wait until after Christmas to continue. Hopefully, it won't be much longer.
How's your visa journey coming alone?
-
My fiance received a 221g and the embassy requested DNA testing on 2 of his 3 kids. The DNA kits made it to the embassy on today. Does anyone know approximately how long does it take for them to finish the visa process after paternity has been established? Also, will they interview him and the kids again?
-
Update on my status: the DNA test kits were delivered to the embassy today so hopefully we can get an appointment quickly to have the test ran. Per the lab I used Jamaica normally has a very quick turn around with DNA testing so I'm going to try to remain positive. Still don't understand why they choose 2 of his 3 kids to test.

Glad to hear you all are moving along in the process...I'm still sr UCKI in twilight zone so to speak. Trying to find a DNA testing location.
