  1. I received my NOA2 on June 18th from TSC (I was transferred also) and I haven't received my NVC case # yet. I did receive a text last week from USCIS saying an update was made on my petition. I assume that they finally sent my case to the NVC but no actual update on the website. Kind of strange.... I'm pretty sure there is a big backlog of NOA2's waiting for case #'s. Its been almost a month for me so since your approval was July 10th I would prepare yourself for more waiting......ranting33va.gif

  2. I am a fellow December VSC to TSC transfer. I received my NOA2 on June 18th. I have also called a few times and no case # yet at the NVC. I'm not too worried about it yet. The first person I talked too said to call back after July 9th (which is today) I already called yesterday so I'll wait a few days and try again. I know this is hard and no one wants to be with their loved one sooner than I do but I knew this would take time. The hard part is over with (getting our NOA2) Hang in there! good.gif

  3. Agree with above post.... Congressional letter is useless and would be a waste of time. Applicant has to do all the 'proving' and it is VERY difficult to prove for most Filipinos.

Do what most of us ended up doing, save some money, take some time off and go to the Philippines yourself. Its a beautiful country and you'll have a great time!

  4. I received my NOA2 approval last week so I know exactly where you are at. The next step is getting your case # from the NVC. They say to wait 2 weeks before calling but I started last week and will continue until I get my case #. I would also suggest getting all your proof of relationship docs, etc, etc together. Look up a specific forum for Turkey on VJ. I'm sure you can find a lot of help for your country.

Oh, by the way, CONGRATS!!!!! Wish you the best on your journey to 'full approval' and being together!! dancin5hr.gif

  5. Hi everyone! I'm a December 28th filer and I got my NOA2 tonight. They sent the email at 11:15pm last night and I am just absolutely shocked to say the least!! I didn't get a text like I did on the notices and the last night notice just really suprised me! I posted another topic on this if you already saw it (I was so excited its just crazzzzy here!) Almost 6 months sinced I filed and almost 3 years since we met so it has been a long journey for me and my fiance! Good luck to all!!

  6. No insults, just reading the what was posted and making a honest assessment of what I see. My fiancé is Filipino also so I understand the language issues. Thanks for writing more about your situation and letting us hear more. I still feel the same about what 'I' commented on. I wouldn't even be thinking about K-1's or visa right now until you can get in better shape with everything in your life. I can understand, for the most part, where you are coming from but facts are facts. Taxes will be an issue you have to address 'before' you will be able to get your fiancé over hear permanently. I don't know exactly how all the child support will factor in but being able to show financial support for your spouse/child will come into play at some point. I would consult with a tax attorney or two and find out what you can do to get things straightened out or at least get started on a path to compliance. Then talk to a family law attorney, mixed with a immigration attorney. Consultations are free at first so you should be able to get enough information to at least get more information than you have now. Save yourself a lot of time and money before you start down a road that will lead to nothing but frustrations. Just my 2 cents.... Good luck!

  7. The lack of filing taxes and W-2's (1099's) WILL be an issue at some point, let alone the child support. I have been paying child support faithfully for over 3 years now and when I have changed jobs it has always been an issue until everything was transferred and I still always paid on-time. I really don't think your very wise filing the visa at this point. I'd be consulting with tax and family law attorneys if I was you! It would be money and time better spent!

  8. Same as everyone else, three notices and a heart attack when I see each one on my phone!!! Ugh! I just know we will hear good news soon but I'm prepared to wait. Also, I went ahead and wrote my congressman and I have to fill out a form to allow them to inquire on my behalf (fiancé has to fill one out too!) I'll let everyone know when I hear something back. Hang in there everyone!!! ClockWatch2.gif

  9. I'm in the same situation. December filer/transfer notice received last Friday. The notice was just sent last Friday and Monday was a holiday so I don't expect anything in the mail for at least a week if not two. I fully understand exactly how you feel though and I ended up writing my congressman last night on his website. I got a response today and I have to fill out a authorization to allow them to inquire for me, ugh! I'll post as soon as I hear something.

  10. I got a transfer notice on my case today also. I almost fell out of my chair when I got the text message because I thought I got a the NOA2!! UGH! At least something happened though!! My NOA1 is Dec 28th. Here's what it said:

On May 24, 2013, we transferred this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

  11. Hello! I just spent a good amount of time reading your post and everyones responses. My heart goes out to you and the problems your having with the denial on your petition. While I can't offer much advice moving forward (I'm awaiting my NOA2) I would just like to say that I wouldn't be too hard on people who are looking out for 'you'. While none of us know your fiancee or you we do understand the process your going through, at least all the waiting, etc. I know from personal experience that there are many scammers and dishonest people out there so someone making comments to that extent aren't trying to say that your fiancee is one its just that they are looking out for you! At least that's all I really got out of it. Just be smart and always look out for yourself!! Good luck!

  12. While I agree that not everyone who is a RSO would pose a threat to anyone regardless of the country it would seem that 'most' ARE! The whole point of someone being a RSO is the nature of the crime that they were charged 'guilty' with. Most (I've seen many statistics) people who fall under this are indeed a threat to children, teenagers, adults, pretty much anyone! I don't like to judge people but sexual crimes are some of the worst ones a person can commit but I certainly understand what your trying to say. We all pay for the things we do but some pay more than others but that's the world we live in.

One more thing, a person being 'trapped in the United States' will NEVER be a bad thing in my opinion. Look at all the people who are trying to get in and live here and I bet most of them really wouldn't have a problem if they couldn't ever leave!

  13. Oh my, wish I had a dollar for everytime I sat down and looked up airfares for my fiances trip over! I'm just as excited as you are and I want to get a good airfare price myself BUT as was just noted there are just way too many factors and things that could delay things. As confident as you might be, you just have no idea what 'could' happen you know? You have to be prepared for that, its just part of the process! Also, why buy a ticket and get it super cheap and then 'one' thing happens and you end up paying more than if you got it the day before you leave?! Just saying....

I can certainly feel your excitement! Its all so close and about to happen for many of us! I'm just going to wait until the interview in Manila is approved 'then' purchase the ticket. I don't have money to waste on change fees and stuff. Good luck to you!!

  14. Ismail-Cassie,

Sorry to hear your worried but try to look at the bright side. At least the CSC is doing December right now! I'm with the VSC and they are just starting Nov. We have a NOA1 date this is very close to each other so I'm a little jealous that Dec is being done in CSC!

I always try to remember that I'm in this for the long haul! I started dating my finance in July of 2010 so when I look at it that way a few more weeks or months won't be the end of the world! I know its hard, trust me!!! I want to just go get on a plane right now and go see my sweetie but I know it would be better to wait a few more months and use that money to be together forever!!! Hang in there!!!
