  1. I read the link provided and it basically states you have to prove you will come back. No ideas on how to do that except family business etc ties... While they will have family ties undoubtedly, my wifes family is poor, so there are zero econmic incentives for return. In her case is it possible for me to get her here to visit for the birth of her grandchild?

Thanks every for ideas on how to proceed.

  2. Thanks for the replies folks. I logged in to the website and I see the payment was processed on the 5th of April. The problem is, still no green card. Also, we received the SS Card but it was addressed to the wrong address. Anyone know where I can double check that information...

They have 4120 instead of 4160 on the addy.

  3. Hello everyone.

I am looking and cannot seem to find what comes next after your spouse arrives in the US on a CR-1 Visa.

We do not need AoS and all that entails. We are simply waiting for green card, as her SSN has already arrived. IS there anything to do until 90 days before the green card expires?

    CR-1 Specific please.

  4. Someone has kindly created a general email (google doc) for all of us to copy and paste and send it to everyone on the email list (on pg 3 of google doc). The plan is that everyone will email/fax them THIS TUESDAY (11/19) in hopes to raise awareness of the issue of the long dreadful processing time. Please help take part in this issue and pass it along.
I truly believe if we all took part in this, we can make change!

Sent a LETTER to him, because my address is not in his district. Also included my Congressman and Senators in the copy list.

  5. infopass for us in not easy since the "local" office is 2.5 hours away in Atlanta... Other than that, it seems all you get is lies and different stories.. Just os discouraged. IN the last 2.5 months my wife has survived a flood in Zamboanga, a Muslim attack on the city, then I made her move back home to Jiminez, where she was closer to the Earthquake, the the typhoon, and now with the low pressure system they had flooding again. All of this has been since she should have bee nhere already.... So frustrating

  6. I feel you....this process is absolutely ridiculous and the whole PD seems like it is barely heeded at all. I have a PD of Feb 23rd and we hear nothing! I called, and was given an opportunity to get a call back, which I did, when I spoke to the representative, she said my case had been transferred back in April, but that she was not at liberty to tell me which local office because they would have to contact me themselves (!!!! seriously?!?! I can't even know where my case file is???)...so I had to do an infopass or whatever, so that the unknown office would contact me...which they didn't. They just sent me a generic email stating that they could not tell me anything and to be patient and keep waiting. Our lawyer has also called and heard nothing, except that the timeline has now lengthened to about 8 months (we are beyond that now too...ugh).

And to add to it all, we cannot see anything on the online system. It just pops up with an error message that they cannot find my case file and to call USCIS. Which freaked me out the first month after filing....but when I finally heard from USCIS regarding this, they said it is normal and that lots of people get this error.

Oh! And not to mention that while I was on the phone with the USCIS Tier 2 about the status of my case, I got another call from USCIS Tier 2, and when I spoke to the other agent, she gave completely conflicting information: saying that our case had just been touched a week ago, has never been transfered, and all her dates didn't match up with the other teir 2 I had spoken with only moments before. I mean, really! What are they doing? How can two different Tier 2 give me different dates and info?! Do they just make this up?? I am so confused by whatever goes on in their offices. Totally ridiculous.

That is similar to my experience. Called, nada, Senators, nada, Congressman, nada, DHS Ombudsman, nada. The only thing I am certain of with them is they cashed my check. EVERY time I speka to them I get a different response, this last was the worst.

I called after 6 months and was told to wait 8, so I called after 8 months and was told there was NO time estimate. When I asked to have my case flagged for excessive time, since it was over 5 months, I was told there is no date for excessive time anymore, that I will just have to wait. So the rules are: Whatever they want them to be at the moment.

Just to think, we are suppose to have priority processing for our families too... wow I hate to think of those poor suckers that do not...

  7. I will add my dates for comparison.

    I-130 NOA1 : 2-25

    Transferred : Nothing

    1-130 NOA2 : Nada

So these idiots have no rhyme or reason. They do what they want when they want and to heel with anyone else.

    Bill

    Let's compare our timelines:

    I-130 Sent : 02-23 02-27

    I-130 NOA1 : 02-26 02-28
    Transferred to Texas: 10-16 10-29

    I-130 NOA2 : Wait for K3 11-08

    I-129F NOA1: 10-25

    Transferred to NBC: 10-30

As you notice your K3 petition is slowing you down now. It will slow you down again once you get to NVC stage, as they will do another step:

    a. The NVC will administratively close your I-129F or

    b. The NVC will contact you with instructions on how to process the I-130 petition to receive an IR1 or CR1 immigrant visa

  8. You case is with the National Business Center and we have no estimates or time frames as to when your case will be processed.

Bleh... So I asked if it can ever be considered delayed, and he replied, not with I130 cases from the NBC sir.

What a load of #######. If a buisness ran like this it would be bankrupt quickly. I cannot wait until they are in charge of our health care... God save us all.

  9. congrats on your approval. The most frustrating thing about this process is the lack of feedback from the government on what is happening. If they would break the process down in to the individual components and let you knwo when one was done I think it would not be as bad for me at least. Like if I knew they had processed the background checks but were still waiting on tax documents or whatever... oh well this is what happens when governemtn is in charge of something. All the power with no responsibility...

    Bill

  10. Well it seems I am in the same position as many of you still here smile.png NOA1 Feburary 25th, still nothing. I will need to check infopass etc... as I have not heard of that. I was told to just wait and calling etc will not help, and might even slow it down.

Thanks everyone, it is something at least to know your not in hell alone wink.png

    Bill

OH yea. When I say I have heard nothing, that is exactly what I mean, no local field office, no transfers etc...
