Thanks R&I Journey. I remember when everything was so slow and we had no idea when what was going to happen. It's good to know things are running quite smoothly for everyone. I am also very excited for you regarding your husbands EAD. Do you have a date yet for the interview? I don't have one yet and the processing timeline showed that on February 28th Portland was now scheduling interviews for applications filed on October 28th. So I'm guessing if they used the entire March to schedule November filers and this month for December filers, then I should expect an interview somewhere next month. Hopefully I get a date before the end of this month lol.

Hey all just received a message saying my EAD card is in production. Do just wait for the mail now or is there a tracking number to follow?

Glad to be back. There's been so much going on. Good things of course.
So glad to hear your no longer illegal here lol. Happy for you that you got your green card congratulations.
Am thinking I have a painful wait for that to happen to me. I got the atlanta lot interviewing lol. They have a almost 8 months backlog so I don't think mine will turn up till the end of the year. Mean while hope to be working while waiting. I hope they accept my expedite.
Hearing positive things with everyone else here though which is so good.

Hey guys been a while been busy unpacking and decided to stop turning down job interviews. Anyway went for 3 job interviews yesterday one as a charge nurse supervisor an two in cardiac heart failure and well I got all 3 job offers the hr was even asking if I would be interested in going for the assistant nurse manager role lol. Anyway so I have decided to take one of these jobs as money doesn't grow on trees here and well me and the roaches from our last place we were going to move in may be room mates if I don't get working lol. So today is the day where I get the horse whip out for uscis and call to expedite my EAD. Was thinking to really lay it on thick and tell them we have no money for food and water lol. Hopefully my cry of poverty and destitute will get me my EAD in a week or two so I can get working. Ain't it funny How none of us cares about when they interview us most of us are chasing the work permit and the Ap lol.

Hey guys it's now day 50 since noa1 still in initial review no news yet am getting all these employers contacting me about jobs. God whats taking these people so long. Decided to just start attending the interviews then make a decision and ask the employer to give me a letter so I can expedite the EAD. If I don't do it this way I believe I will be here waiting forever lol.
Glad to see others are moving along with their application. Let's keep our chins up.

Isn't it funny how what we sent from what we didn't send is constantly playing in our minds like a scratched record. Don't stress they may not notice if you get the donut eater who couldn't careless what you put from what you didn't put as long as he gets his lunch break. You could consider mailing it in anyway to save yourself a rfe. I know I remember putting passport copy in along with the UK biometric page and the US visa page. I remember thinking when I was doing it what a waste of paper they already had this info in the k1 but I put it in anyway. If the forms could talk they would say when you provide the evidence pretend I am a idiot so treat me like one. Pretend I don't know nothing about your immigration status. That's what I did put it all in and I am now going to wait to see what donut finds a flaw in my evidence. Heck I even put a note regarding the medical form why it's incomplete. The reasons being it was not flue season and wrote in laymen's terms an explanation of there exemption policy just incase the donut didn't know the rules lol. I believe they want you to spell everything out for them.
On a serious note you might want to consider mailing it out anyway you have nothing to loose right!

Haha went in to the craigslist like you said and looked under ETC anyway didn't realise I had gone into the uk craigslist lord behold there was a job titled ladies let me sniff your feet for cash lol. If I had known such a job existed while I was in the uk I probably wouldn't have wasted my time going to nursing school lol.
Finally found the US craigslist and looked under etc for Georgia state. Great place to find many jobs that want to pay you so they can experiment on you lol. One particular one caught my eye. Earn cash to be a surrogate mom. I wonder if I need EAD for child bearing. I did notice it said earn $35,000 hmm am seriously considering this one will ask my husband when he gets home if I should apply. Heck already had two kids I had to keep and feed and suffered the stretch marks and fat stomach for zero salary so might as well get paid for the inconvenience this time round. Anyway it might help me expedite my EAD if I had a surrogate job offer letter lol. :) will put in the application and let you guys know if I need the EAD to conceive the babies.

It's really has been expensive has it not.
Now we all got to eat bread and water till EAD turns up lol .
God I have missed my cold stone and creamery ice cream and cake and the regular Chinese take out. My local restaurant probably thinks I have passed away. I will be getting flowers delivered too the door soon with a condolence card for my husband saying sorry to hear about your wife lol. Bread and water is just not the same :(

You know I had to cast my mind back to what I sent in too and I do remember adding a copy of my hubby's birth certificate as proof of citizenship. God talk about lapses in memory too many forms drives you to become seminal. Am thinking dementia is going to be knocking on my door soon too lol.
I do hope it is something minor for your rfe. The main thing is that it's on its way to you so you can quickly fix it.
As for the waiting for a acceptance notice. If my phone and email could talk the would curse me for disturbing them every 5minutes. I better give it till Monday who knows our destiny a one was probably one of the first in the haystack of AOS forms. Gives hope since we both posted ours the same time. I will wait till Monday before I go buy myself a wig to replace the hair I might start pulling out if I don't hear from them lol. We got to laugh right or we may all be crying. God what hard work it has been throughout this journey.

The USPS website says delivered just now. Actually was delivered on the 27th it was the usps that didn't update their system. So thank god.
So yours took two days before a text was sent from uscis? Was that just them accepting the application?

Your right thank you for the reassurance as of today it's still saying waiting to be picked up and that can't be right. So I can only assume what you said with someone not signing and updating is the case here. I will wait till next week before I panic lol

This service is not available in all country's. London for example doesn't do this system either we have to wait to receive a letter for appointment.

To be honest guys there is a backlog and a waiting time for interviews. At the moment London embassy interview dates are currently taking 6-8 weeks. The best thing to do is to call dos and confirm they have any forms you have sent and if they say they do your job is done all you can do is wait it out for the inter view date to be given to you.
Been CEAC ready since August 28th am still waiting on a interview date to be given. Yet I have done medical and filled out all forms including online DS-260 and I have done police cert. I am good to go but no interview date yet.

Either or . Dos or NVC to get your case number after noa2. I. Find dos friendlier and easier to contact. They will give you a case number. If you call NVC don't forget to ask for your invoice number for the online DS-260 form. Once they have generated a case number they will ship your file to your consulate. Mean while start getting your forms together and the affidavits of support I-134.

I totally agree with you godlove it's difficult with the kind of culture we have to be in this situation. I can only pray she finds a result ion to this problem before wasting money filing papers. My mother herself who is nigerian scrutinises any girlfriends my brothers bring home. And in the past has been known to chase a few of them away lol. Just like in the past she has tried to find me a good nigerian husband etc no matter how many times you tell her you want to make your own choices. Just saying that parents have a huge influence on their kids in Nigeria more so the male than the females I feel. If I was her I would be aware of the potential problems that will arise in the future. My prayers stay with all of us in this stressful process.

Wow. This is a difficult dilemma you face. And each and every input you have received from people here is to be taken in to consideration. While I feel you are at a cross road right now and really don't know what to do I feel you do need to consider the possibility of a denial. If by chance you are approved you also need to consider the possibility that this guy will only stay as long as his green card has not been issued because once that happens it is possible he will leave you and find someone his own age. He is young has no children he probably will want some one day in the future. Not to be disrespectful to his parents but their acceptance of you maybe based on the fact that you can get him a green card. I doubt they would want their child to never produce children in the future. Nigerian culture is different. There have been some instances when a man Marry's a woman his own age and for many years try's to produce and has not been successful . Instantly in the eyes of the family she is barren even before they work out if the problem may be from the mans side as to why they aren't producing. Some parents have been known to go to the house pack the girls cloths and dash her out. Then find him another wife that can produce or find him a second wife. If your man is Muslim this may likely be their intentions in the future. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you do have to think carefully before you go ahead with this. Take this advice from a female nigerian who knows what nigerian culture is like. I suggest you take the advice someone gave you earlier and tell him you will move to Nigeria instead and see if he try's to convince you not to do that or her runs away a short while after you insist your moving. This will give you the answer you seek. I truely hope it works out for you and I hope he is genuine.

Call dos or NVC but dos is less holding time. They will both give you the same information. I got mine from dos.

When you get your case number in 2-3 weeks log on to the CEAC website and track your file till it gets to your consulate. Here is the link for the CEAC site. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?
Just type in your case number that NVC gives you there and it will bring up a box with your case details.

Standard letter they send everyone once approved. It is forwarded to NVC where they will generate a case number for you 2-3 weeks after approval. Then NVC sends to London. Once they send it to London you will get another letter stating they sent it to the embassy in London and London will contact you.
