JSC n GOM got a reaction from Jeanna in Port of entry
My fiancé entered through JFK 2 weeks ago it took him about 30mins to get through customs and get his luggage which is excellent time. They won't care who is coming to pick you up but make sure you have a number for the person who is coming to get you. JFK is a very large airport not like sangster or Norman Manley. What I did was I told my fiancé after he gets his luggage do not go outside (it's very cold now in New York) and find a landmark in the terminal where we can meet (like an au Bon pain or dunkin donuts). Once he is at his location borrow someone's phone and call me and tell me where he is located.
I know this is longer than you asked but trust me I am jamaican and I live in New York and deh ah airport all the time and JFK no easy at all. You can get lost easily there so make sure u have the number of the person coming to get you. Good luck! Welcome to New York and dress warm cuz it cold bad!

JSC n GOM got a reaction from Jamaica10 in What should be done while awaiting NOA2 approval??
Here are a couple of things you can start working on while waiting for your NOA2:
    - Getting your affidavit of support and relevant documentation together
    - Filling out your DS forms (230, 156, 156K and 157)
    - Obtaining your necessary passport pictures
    - Obtaining an updated version of your birth certificate (new style)
    - Police certificate (it took my fiance 30days to get his - and it is good for up to 1 year from the date of issuance)
    - Going to the clinic and obtaining necessary shots prior to your medical(there is a post somewhere on VJ that has the link to the shots needed)
    - Gathering support to prove on-going relationship (i.e., pictures, phone records, etc)
Just think of all the details that goes into pulling an excellent package together and all of the other little things that need to be done. Before you know it, you will have an NOA2 and you don't want to be scrambling to gather documents. Hope this helped.

JSC n GOM got a reaction from Maribel&Kyle in Interview today - Approved!!!!
Yay!!! My fiance had his interview today in Jamaica at 8:30am this morning and was approved. I haven't received the full details as yet but the only questions they asked was how we met, they asked him general information about my daughter and what I do for a living. They took all the required documents and none of the support to prove on-going relationship (i.e., phone records, pictures etc). They did also take the DHL screen print. He was out of there at 11:30am and they told him he should have his visa within 3 weeks (hopefully this is true!!)
Overall, it sounded like it was a smooth process with nothing un-expected but he was adequately prepared for anything.
Now let the AP waiting games begin! Once I get further info I will also post a review.
God is an awesome, on-time God!!!!

JSC n GOM got a reaction from California14 in Approved!!! March NOA1 VSC
I literally checked 8 times! But we were approved today!!!! NOA 1 March 8 at VSC...
Few things I noticed... there is a sequence of 10 applications for K-1s together. My last 5 digits 16589. Late last week 3 got RFE's and when I checked today and 2 were approved (including mine). I am guessing the other 5 will be approved soon as well.
Good luck to everyone! GOD is awesome!
