  1. My mother has her interview at the London Embassy next month. I am going with her to the interview, how do I get access to go with her inside? is there some sort of form I should fill out or call somewhere?

Sorry if its been asked before but I did look and couldn't find any details.

  2. I am in the process of filling out a form to sponser my brother to come to the USA. I have not long filled out the same form for my mother and I thought they asked for a copy of MY birth certificate, but I can't find that on the instructions. Am I imagining it?

So far for my brothers application I have the filing fee, I-130 form filled out and signed, my naturalisation cerficate, is this enough?

I know before you inform me that its gonna take years but you have to start someplace.

  3. thats exatly what happened to me, I had the same rejected, call the operator and make sure its ready for payment again before you pay again. Normally a day after you get the rejected. Its because the NVC is in one place and the payment center is in another, the payment you sent hadn't had the paperwork to tie itself upto so rejected. Also I got a email 2 weeks after saying that the payment was rejected!

  4. I have just called the NVC, they told me that the case to sponser my mother is now complete, so I asked when the interview will be, they told me the schedules for April at London are now full and that I would have to wait till May, so I said so can you give me a interview date for May? oh not yet she said we don't schedule them for another 2 weeks, so call back in 2 weeks so maybe call back then, or maybe just wait for us to write to you with a interview? Is this normal I thought when you were "complete" that a interview was given?

  5. Don't pay it until you receive the email saying that its available to pay, I saw the IV was there and ready to be paid and did so, then it got rejected a few days later, then I had to wait another working day until I could pay it, the operator told me its cos the paperwork hasn't been produced so the payment which goes on in some other place has nothing to tie itself into so it just rejects. Before you pay either wait for the email or call the operator and ask is it ok to pay. It delayed me over a week waiting for it to sort itself out.

  6. Im almost ready to submit the documentation into the NVC(packet 3) as it was. I have my mohters info which is:

    Police Certificate

Photocopy of bio page passport - certified by bank in UK

Photocopy of divorce paper - certfied by bank in UK

Original birth certificate - I had to have one done and sent here direct a long version as she only has the short version

Passport photos - DO THESE NEED ANYTHING ON THE BACK, OR JUST AS THEY ARE?

From my self the petitioner _ this is where Im a little stuck?

A Photocopy of my birth cerficate

A Photocopy of my marriage cerficate

A Photocopy of my divorce cerficate from previous husband

I have taken the above to a notary public here in the USA and he photocopies the originals and signed them as I had to and he put the notary stamp on them, is this enough or is there another type of certification here?

    Thanks

  7. Looks good Margy!

    You go girl

I use all the Nuceliec A Products for my hair, the conditioners make your hair so soft.

I had some highlights here a year ago that made my hair dry, I had to keep putting Bumble and bumble hair treatments on it, from then on onwards I go back to the UK for my hair coloured! apparently here they use stronger proxides.

  8. The operator said it was because I paid the IV bill before the email was produced and that the payment is just sitting in the system with no documentation(the email documentation) to marry it up to. She said because the email hadn't been sent to me to say pay and I saw it online to pay and paid it thats why it messed up and it would be friday before they could look into it?

  9. Think Im speaking to my self here!

If anyone else has done this I think I have now resolved it

I called the NVC again today, she told me as the payment was before the email they can't marry them up, so I have to wait till friday and she will review it again. She thinks it will all just sit on the system as it has nothing to go with

  10. Last thursday I looked at the account where you pay both bills, I saw that the ds230 had been invoiced so I paid it, the next day friday I received a email from the NVC saying that the bill was there and to pay it. I went back to check and it said in process. A little later friday it said PAID I printed off the cover sheet. Upon checking my bank account however I see it didn't go thru the bank account, so saturday I checked it all again, it has invoiced me again, so I tried to pay again, it then told me I had already got one in process and I coulnd't pay again.

So today I checked bank account and called my bank up they don't see anything coming thru for the $400 from these people, so I called the NVC they told me they don't know what to say, check again in another week???

What will happen here? will they reinvoice me? will the payment go thru?

  11. I went to the bahamas when I had a green card, I took with me my UK passport and green card, carried with me wedding certificate, wasn't asked for wedding certificate, they are more intrested in seeing that the green card is valid at the immigration. They stamp your passport swipe your greencard and your back in the USA.

  12. I travelled the first time last month on my american passport.

Upon arrival I filled out a arrival card. I have dual citizenship for the UK and USA. Although when you take your citizenship and swear alliagance to the flage etc, they tell you DUAL CITIZENSHIP isn't recognised any place. So any way when I landed in the UK I went to where all the foreigners line up, I then asked the lady at the desk " I hold UK and US passport which do I use, she said us (meaning the UK) don't care which you use, however you may have difficulty when you return to the USA I believe as they like to see a stamp.

So when I returned to the USA and went thru passport control the immigration officer asked where I'd been and then checked the stamp in the US passport, so I would think from that you must always use your US passport and get it stamped else you will have trouble returning to your country of citizenship the USA.
